The Pitch festival in Amsterdam just caught my eye:

Line-up looks pretty good, and I'd really like to go.. especially the Sunday since I've been listening to Jamie Woon, Flying Lotus and Mount Kimbie a lot recently.

If you have listened to the mix can you help identifying the song after Jay Weed Naos?

No clue, man, sorry... Wish I knew, though! I want that.

Anyone going to be watching the RA stream of THE ENTIRE DEMF this weekend? I'm only going to be watching tomorrow night, for the most part. Sunday has a pretty boring line-up, and Monday is alright, but they definitely put all of the big hitters on for Saturday. Marc Houle, Heartthrob, Aril Brikha, Mike Servito, Visionquest, Goldie, Spacetime Continuum, Cio D'or, Venetian Snares, Monolake, yes please. Sunday's big draw for me is 69 and Ben Klock > Dettmann, otherwise nothing peaks my interest (I'll be seeing Space Dimension Controller and Soul Clap in the next few weeks). I'll be watching the Red Bull stage on Monday, but that's it. Ramadanman, Scuba, and Flying Lotus, mmm.

It's pretty awesome that RA is doing that for everyone! Hopefully it goes smoothly, because we all know DEMF can have its fair share of issues.

BR released Jamie's SXSW x Young Turks show but they didn't open up downloads! Hoping they put it up on the podcast soon.

RA.261 is LV and is dope as fuck.

Boy8bit released a new website for his new EP release along with a mixtape. He always makes the best mixtapes, can't wait to listen.

Femme En Fourrure have a new summer mixtape out called Sea Foam Mix that looks promising.

Finally Pehjy Podcast 7 is Thick as Thieves.

That's what I grabbed this morning for the return to the work week. Have a good week everyone.

Gonna listen to that LV podcast on my way in to work tonight, looks great!

Grabbed Aril Brikha and Margaret Dygas' DEMF sets this morning. Those should be baller. The little I listened of Aril's sounded faaaaaaantastic.

Modeselektor is great live. I think they actually played that one last time I saw them. They also played White Flash which was a nice surprise.

Listened to Jamie XX's SWSX mix. The songs were good like always but his mixing could use some work. Some of the transitions were meh.

The game is weird like that. When you first start off your transitions are shit and everyone points it out, to get good you have to get them skills down tight! But then once hype takes over and you become the biggest names on the planet suddenly it matters no more and people come to hear the tracks and not the transitions.

Don't know if there's much appreciation for their experimental, relatively melody-less style, but there's a new Emptyset EP out and it's melting my face. Anytime I listen to these guys, it's like the universe is imploding in my ears and it is glorious.

New Andy Stott tracks are fuggin' incredible.

So, just got around to listening to this album last night and it is unbelievable. It blows all of my expectations out of the water, a truly unique and just straight up beautiful album.

Along with the new Stott, I finally got Jackmaster's Fabric mix and it is INSANE. Such a fantastic mix, his blends are killer and the track selection is divine. Definitely worth everyone's time.

NYC-Gaf: Free Space Dimension Controller show tonight at Percussion Labs! Last week was Scuba, really bummed I missed out on that...

SHIT, I knew I should have checked up on this thread over the weekend, and taken off today... could have gone to see Space Dimension Controller and then chill and watch the Nintendo conference at home.

D: I ended up not going. I was exhausted after the weekend and just crashed at home. I hear it was amazing (duh). Some good stuff coming up in the next week, unfortunately it's all mostly techno and nothing but techno. I'm not in the mood for eight hours of gut-wrenching techno right now, I need funky awesome house beats. Mister Sunday should prove to be a good time, even though it's just Eamon and Justin... Debating on whether or not to go to Peter van Hoesen on Friday at Bunker.

I've got something really, really special for you guys that I'm going to link you guys in the next two days (you'll ESPECIALLY like it, djtiesto ;)). I'm really excited to share this.

JULY 9TH WHAT THE FUUUUCK! I was so bummed I missed Four Tet at Mister Sunday the past weekend, I heard it was insane, and now we get to relive it.

Also, fuck yes for "Far Nearer" finally being out. Finally. Finally! And new Julio Bashmore? This day is turning awesome.

Also also, I blew my load way too early on that Jackmaster mix. It starts out really great and quickly turns to crap towards the end. Ah, well.

Has anyone watched the trailer for Amon Tobin's ISAM live? It's unreal! Really hope he brings it stateside, but right now he's just touring Europe.

I also don't understand why no. He is one of the most talented producers right now. So tight and powerful, sometimes a little weird. Maybe he's too popular right now. I hope that doesn't impact his songs like it did with Deadmau5.

I really like the strings in this one:
Skrillex - Ruffneck (Flex)

also check this:
Skrillex - Reptile

No, because he doesn't actually do anything new or outrageously unique. Everything he does has been done before, but he somehow managed to get a shit ton more exposure than other, frankly more talented, producers. Also, womp is overdone. People view him as the Deadmau5 of dubstep, and I'm inclined to agree. Everyone who is hating on him in this thread was hating on him before he became popular, ps.

They played at Webster Hall. It was a great show. Siriusmo played a bunch of his songs, all of which deserve as much live attention as they can get!

Are you crazy? He brings nothing to production. He is popular because mainstream is just now catching up to dubstep, look at the gaf thread for examples.

I felt it the entire way, of course I worship in the church of Jamie. so take with a grain of salt!

Did you pick up the pink Nearer vinyl? Was sold out at the numbrs shop so I had to get it from rubadub, I hope it comes through with no problems.

Nah, I'm strictly digital for the time being. Don't have the money or space for vinyl at the time. I'll be getting myself some tables this summer, though, really, really excited. I'm throwing a party this Sunday and can't wait to drop this in.
