Going from the demo, the 360 has less screen tearing and a better framerate, but the difference is nominal. I guess it really depends on your preference. I.e., if you care about achievements, your controller preference, etc.Aurelius said:So, which is the version to get? 360 or PS3?

From the Civilization Fanatics website:Dax01 said:What's this free downloadable "game of the week" thing?
I'm really disappointed that there isn't going to be a PSP version. It seems like the game would be perfect for portables, but I no longer have a DS (since selling it, this has been the only game of interest so far) and while I'm sure the game is still good, I don't like the look of it on DS. They could have probably done a better job emulating the look of the home console versions on the PSP.Aurelius said:I'm really curious about the DS-version. Portable Civilization on the train/toilet would be great!
When I get bored of Civilization Revolution I will probably buy CivIV for my MacBook Pro. Last civilzation game I played was Civ II.andrewfee said:Ended up buying Civ IV Complete yesterday even though I'm in the UK and the game is out tomorrow. :lol That's how much I enjoyed it. It's certainly a lot more complex than Revolution (at least on the default difficulty) but I figure that learning how to play it will help with Revolution anyway, even if things aren't exactly the same. I thought I was doing really well last night - managed to get a space race victory in my second game (and was just about to be voted into the UN as well) but my ranking was second-last on the list. :lol

MMaRsu is in the Netherlands, where they don't believe in street dates. Some UK people have got their ShopTo orders, though.Ghost said:Is the street date broken?

Who cares about the street date!!!! HOW'S THE GAME????!!!MMaRsu said:As far as I know there is no street date, game came out today...
( but they do believe in street dates here for big games, GTAIV and such, so annoying )

So how does the map workk? Do you start in a different location each time?MMaRsu said:Yeah the game is great but I don't really know what to say. I only played 1 game on easy just to get the hang of things. I've played 1 game of Civ4 in whole my life, and never before that..
But the game is great man! I just think the world is a little small compared to Civ4 which is a little too bad..

And if it's not, I'm really tempted on importing the Euro version, but now that I think about it, if this game has DLC, I know that DLC will be indeed region locked, which is for every game not called SingStar.
MMaRsu said:I doubt the game is region locked multiplayer wise, because I see american people on the leaderboards so..
FlyinJ said:Wait, so the game is definitely region-free? Someone on another board just told me that the back of the box explicitly says:
""For use only with XBox 360 entertainment systems with "PAL" designation and PAL TV's capable of displaying a 60Hz signal"."
He said there wasn't a specific region code on the box, though.
