Do you disagree just because you can? Because a lot of times you show a lack of understanding for whatever it is you choose to support. While proving that you knew nothing about Cammy, you championed your cause while the whole board proved you wrong every step of the way. And now Shine? Here goes...
Anyhows, the matches where I considered him lucky are against 2 above average players and Sanford. The two above average players being Lincoln and Damdai. Damdai is a beast at ST but admits to not really playing that much sf4. And he beat Sanford once in winners.
Point A is false, since the NY players have played against Sanford's Gouken before. Point B is the main area where he went lucky. Shine CLEARLY showed that he didn't adjust at all, not a single time throughout the tournament did he change any of his strategies. With the that being said, whether he won his matches or not then was solely on the 3 other players who did have the capacity to adjust, and DIDN'T. Well Sanford did in GF, which is why he slaughtered him. You know how much credit I'd take if I beat a Sanford that didn't adjust? None at all. I'd be telling everyone I got lucky as fuck :lol
Point C might be true, but that's kinda hard to prove either. Also don't fool yourself into thinking Shine outsmarted anyone. I made a post where I directly linked THREE instances in one match where he reversal mashed a counter in every block string or combo. That pattern was indicative of his whole game, as he maintained that approach (repetitive and predictable) throughout all instances of the game, be it zoning, escaping pressure, etc. I can go and break down his game showing why he sucks some more, but it's pretty obvious just from watching him and I'd be repeating points I've already made shortly after the match happened.
