The trick is to time a jump just as they are throwing the fireball and fierce kick them in the face follwing up with any combo/special move of choice as you land.

My problem with teh DQCF is that I end up doing one of those uppercuts instead of an ultra fireball if I was with ryu. The stick movement is too similar with other moves.

The stick direction needs to be LEFT or RIGHT when you hit the punch/kick button. If it's still on diagonal, you'll do an uppercut. You're not finishing the motion.

It's not as hard to get out as it was in SF2, especially when any ex move breaks those throw loops. You can't do the same thing over and over again like you could in sf2, it's way easier to punish. And the revenge meter is there for a reason, if that person keeps throw looping you, you hit the asshole with an ultra and you're back in the game.

I just wished they made more of the achievements/unlokcables based on online competitive player rather boring arcade run-throughs. Or at least have multiple requirements for unlocking certain characters like Akuma (i.e) to unlock Akuma beat arcade with a perfect and an ultra finish OR win at 100 ranked/player matches

Sagat and Rose aren't shotos. All the rest of them actually use the same style (which was mistakenly called Shotokan Karate). Sagat and Rose have the same type of rules, but shotos they are not.

Yeah exactly, specially with Abel since hes the one Im using the most right now. I realize theres some tricky balance since that Ultra is POWERFUL, but damn.

First the stick is like $100 US, since they recently raised the prices of next-gen games in Canada to like $70 plus tax, the stick will prob be around $130 or so. Not to mention it will be very hard to find. I managed with SF3 and the MvC games without the stick, I think I can everntually make do here too.

Well i just smashed a 360 pad up while playing this thanks to the shitty d pad. I think i am gonna trade it in, i can't be bothered to wait till April for the fightpads and i am not gonna get raped buying one off ebay.
I really can't get into the game with the shitty ms pad, i wish i still had my ps3 that had a good d pad.

A friend and I were playing a Rose vs Dan match. He performed his super taunt, so I sent out my ultra. Just as I did that, he cancelled into his ultra. Both ultras bounced off of each other, causing no damage. We spent the rest of the match laughing uncontrollably.

Hey if anything Gouken IS the Shotokan master, whatever moves those other fuckers are doing are not indicative of the Shotokan style

the main cause of irritation for me and my 360 pad is those damn raised dots on the stick.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they should not play. But like Qub said, you can punish those people pretty easily.

The reason you punish them (us) easily is because they're either new to Street Fighter or haven't played Street Fighter in 15 years. Shotos are great for these kind of people and probably where most of you started.
