Dammnit..... thats ok as long as we don't have to wait till next holiday for it. Would be nice if it came out in NA during the slow summer months. Just another reason to hold off on next gen.

Fan reception of the game must have not been very good, its very rare for a company (especially square) to almost "Go back to the drawing board".

But it also shows the dedication of the company to not taint the image of their biggest franchise. Other companies could learn a thing or two in that regard.

Go back what drawing board? the game looks exactly the same as it did back in E3 2004 (Check page 1 for new scans). Same battle system, characters looks the same and hell it still has circle shadows!

Picking up FF12 on release date here in North America will be the trippiest thing ever...I don't think I've ever waited this long for a game. Here's hoping that date is worldwide or something. Didn't I hear things about the US localization going pretty well and that a release in both regions at the same time would be possible?

Ummm, the Square guy at the Sony E3 Press Conference pretty much said, "Yeah, please note the backwards compatibility of PS3, because you'll be using that to play FFXII," so I fail to see how this is surprising.
