Sean Sherk is such one sided fighter. He only has a ground game and gets punished whenever he stands.

Thats not true...
Sherk has pretty good standup.
Watch his fight with Nick Diaz


That said.. no one can deal with his wrestling.. so why bother standing?
 
Well I dont see how he can be good on his feet when he just got kneed like three times or four times.

Nick Diaz? As in Nates Diazs' brother, the guy who's banned from UFC or something? haha. havent seen that fight.

Um.. because Sherk was going for a takedown when he got hit with those knees.

Fights never make sense, trust me I spend alot of time with local mma fighters.
Every moment in there your mind is going a million miles a second, when you know you have people watching you that is magnified by an uncalculatable degree.
It is bad judgement
 
Man, ufc crowds can really be annoying... yes they have the right to boo but they boo everything that isnt a knockout.
 
I would have booed that too. Hermes was totally exhausted, and Sherk played it pretty safe. I really thought he was gonna come out and posture up and do some serious GnP in the 5th, but no he just decided to lay for the safe win.

short wrestlers arent really exciting to watch. they just roll around on the ground and nothing exciting happens.

sherk fights for points instead of finishing.

if he could do 3 of those 5 round fights, why couldnt he submit hermes towards the end when hermes was all out of strength. he slammed, slammed, slammed, and then rolled around and never finished.
 
Sherk with complete domination. Franca landed some big knees and went for the choke after most of them and still couldn't get the sub. Sherk also countered all of the kneebars perfectly.

Hmm, Rashad actually has a chance in this fight. I thought it would be pretty tough for him, but he has a chance. PEACE.
 
Tito will get the decision, but man, that should be a draw. Tito is so overrated. It's amazing he doesn't get squashed by the real heavies. PEACE.

Rashad needs a more well rounded game, he doesn't really seem to have a takedown like other wrestlers who compete and he isn't all that comfortable on his feet.
 
If it had been five rounds Evans would have finished him I think. Tito was gassed and Evans wasn't. He should have let it go more like I said. He did too much ducking and dodging during the standup.

Now my boy Silva is gonna close it out.

I agree, I think Tito would have lost because he looked pretty gassed already in the 2nd round. Looks like we'll be seeing this fight again in a few months.

So the main event is up now? What happened to this match listed on Sherdog that keeps getting moved down:

Alvin Robinson (Pictures) vs. Kenny Florian (Pictures)
 
the event might be going on too long

If the Kenflo fight got scrapped.. thats terrible by the UFC

There are always other fights, and depending on how the big events go we see more or less of them. We had 3 fights go the distance, and unlike normal we had 2 championship fights of 5 rounds :( (i mean they had to allow for a possible 25 mins in this fight)

Maybe they'll show a fight or two at the end.

I watched the second one, but I just can't see them giving away Ortiz/Evans 2 away for free on Spike when they can milk it for PPV dollars.

that was sweet, he lined him up for so long there at the end waiting for an opening. Nice shot, you could hear Nate's head hit back against the canvas.

and we get one more fight due to the quick finish. I wish they'd show all the fights at the end :(
