For one thing, the three characters you named are MUCH harder to use than ryu/ken. They have more obvious disadvantages , especially for noob shoto players.

Um, Third Strike is May 1999. That is over 10 years old. But you do make a good point.

Dito. SFIV vanilla already had more than enough of 'em, the least Capcom could've done is ignore the remaining two members of the SFII cast and used their slots for characters from the other games.

LOL watch them pull a TS or a MvSF... altering the palette of a stage and calling it a new stage.

EDIT: NM they already have that going on in the original game with the boat stage and the jungle stage. And to some extent the East Asian street stage. Oh well new characters more important than new stages.

Agreed. I can see why they put in the full original cast in SFIV, just to pull alot of players back into the game, but I really dont like that DeeJay and T.Hawk are taking up two slots in this update. I think I remember hearing Ono say that their designs were almost fully finished so they probably just figured why not? :/

Or they could not have wasted a spot on Dan. I'd much rather have DJ and Hawk.

T.hawk and Deejay is over 16 years old. They have more rights to be in the game because they are classic characters. If you aren't over 12 years old.. gtfo:D

they are almost completed anyways, I think? It's possible instead of getting them we might have only gotten 8 new characters. Anyways, DJ and Hawk are cool with me, those are 2 sf2 cast characters I actually like.

I desperately want to see several new stages. The backgrounds grew stale with the current cast; I can only imagine what adding 10 more characters will do.

The opposite. T-Hawk and Deejay are old, they aren't wanted anymore. The newer characters never got a fair shake. Especially Makoto!

Juri looks to be "SNK inspired". I can't say that's a bad thing. Since SNK couldn't get their shit right, rip them off and do it better this gen I guess.

Kim Dong Hwan + Eilleen (Virtua Fighter 5) + Rita (power rangers) = Juri.

I think she looks cool but, you could have fooled me and said it was a fan made skin hack of an existing character with the PC version.

Her portrait especially doesn't look like a drawing like the other characters, it just looks like a kinda meh anime CG render :/

Yeah this game is in desperate need of some new stages. Id love to see a remake of the grass field from alpha series and ryu's rooftop from sf2.

Who cares about age as long as the characters are fun. Personally I wanted Urien but hey I'll take these guys instead. If you can't find a character you like out of 35 of them then maybe you care more about one character design than the actual game and should reevaluate your purchase.

Edit: Taking a wild guess and gonna say Juri is Korean and uses Tae Kwan Do.

I have a strange feeling this game will eventually include all SF characters, just like SFA3 eventually ended up. What was the definitive version of that game, the one for PSP? That had like 36? Super Street Fighter IV Turbo MAX-UPPER FTW!! :lol

I used to think Urien wouldn't fit in but now that everyone has 2 ultras there's room for Aegis plus his other super arts. question is, should Aegis be super or ultra?

I'm hoping that EVERYONE gets their SF4-ized themes now. My one big complaint with vanilla SF4 was that some of the characters didn't get themes.
