Also, I think some people are looking at this from the wrong angle. It was probably a case of "Hey, we have Dee Jay and T. Hawk almost finished so we might as well include them in the update and make it look like there are more new characters" instead of "Ok, let's put 10 characters in the update, and two of them must be Dee Jay and T.Hawk"

Sorry to beat a dead horse a bit, but I would be shocked if the SSFIV does not include any new stages. Just because these screens are on 'old' backgrounds does not mean new ones exist.

I imagine an arcade release will come in a couple months with home ports sometime next spring or summer. That means there's a lot of work left to be done. That's a good thing considering how beautiful SFIV became in its final few months of development.

Dee jay and T.Hawk are the worst characters of the SF II era,but they are part of the classic era by default.

Life ain't fair and there isn't much we can do about it. :lol Still,I do not think T.Hawk or Dee Jay are any worst than the bottom of the barrel from alpha or III.Dee Jay has the potential of being good and fun to play in IV.He's got a nice moveset so I am expecting him to be a solid mid tier.I won't spit on T.Hawk since I always give he guy a chance. :lol Hope he can finally get out of the gutter trash tier and be as scary as a grab character SHOULD be.

Juri looks to be "SNK inspired". I can't say that's a bad thing. Since SNK couldn't get their shit right, rip them off and do it better this gen I guess.

Abel and C. Viper are also 'SNK insipired' i think.
(And El Fuerte has several Ramon moves, but i guess that its just coincidence.)

Wishlist features ranked after importance

1. New roster should be balanced and fun to play ( pretty much garantueed since its SF but still you never know)

2. Better( A LOT BETTER ) online-EVERYTHING, lobby,matchmaking,etc etc ( Kinda feel this should be nr 1, also not being able to save replays at any given moment is abysmally bad)

3. Give us the altcostumes for everybody on disc, day 1, free of charge. ( more of a principal but still )

i agree! i'm very excited to play as a new charge character and EVEN THOUGH i gave dee jay a lot of hate back in the 90s, i think i will give him an honest try this go around. i did always like that charge b, f+k move that reminded me of Kim's slide kick from King of Fighters - anyone have a gif of that move?



i didn't play the 360 characters until SFIV, so t hawk will be like a new character to me, anyway

A Native American chief. Ok. That took some serious thought to come up with. He is the most generic design in Street Fighter history. More generic than the Cammy clones in A3. More generic than "Mike" from SF1.

I'm 25 btw, been playing since childhood, and even then I thought these two were lame.

If you want to play third strike,you can do so since that game already exist.

SF IV need to be it's own game and this is what SSF IV should be able to do.They will build upon ultra since there's going to be more of them and the focus attack system is going to be revamped.

SF III in general lowered the popularity of the franchise and it took years for the gameplay to grow on most people.If most casual people interested in fighting game do not like all the execution barriers,why would you bring back parrying?

I've never been a fan of Dee Jay, but I'm actually looking forward to him being added. I was never much of a fan of the way charge characters played in previous Street Fighters, but I grew to love them in IV.

Hopefully they give him a little bit of a redesign like they did with Gen. The fade w/rat tail-dreadlocks combo looked ridiculous in 1994 and it'll look even worse now.

That's why people love 3rd strike's characters. Most of the characters are very original and interesting in design.

I would have just ignored him. Quoting someone who's obviously not up for a decent discussion only encourages them to post more stupid crap. But either way, let's get back to the subject at hand.

At the very least, I hope all of the characters get proper theme music and new stages are put into the mix regardless if they are tied to characters or not. In my opinion, SFIV felt like an incomplete package in some respects. And I wouldn't mind if endings were just static portraits that were short and sweet as opposed to animated clips with varying degrees of quality and an incoherent plot.
