"That's what I commend Sony for, for so many games they've done. They always say, 'PlayStation stands for what it has done for so long because we will always take the side of quality when it comes down to it.' That is one of the strengths Sony has had for so many years."

I mean it looks great and if they need more time to polish then go for it, but I am a bit bummed since this was high on my list of PS4 games to get this year. Good on them for announcing the delay prior to E3, hopefully they'll have some bombs to drop on stage (releases for this year even) that will help flesh out this fall.
 
Ah shit. Longer in the oven and all that but really these delays are irksome. I really want to play my PS4 but I just haven't found too much I enjoy on it. This does look awesome though and I'd like to think the delay is for MP.
 
Expected, hope this thread can stay a little more civil.

It sucks to have to wait longer, but if RaD says they need it, it is probably best they do it.

I think if a game is to have true staying power it needs an element for gamers to keep it.

Nothing wrong with a 15 hour SP game but it will be packed out in Game / Gamestop n a month.

Even RE4, to me the best SP game, had replay elements like survival etc so you were never really 'finished'.
 
Any official release date given? These target release windows always make me nervous, especially since we were promised early 2014 for Driveclub.
 
Just one PS4 game (inFamous) for the whole year by Sony? Ridiculous.

(i know about Driveclub, but come on. A racing game isn't worth anything)
 
So Sony has nothing for 2014? Figures. They actually start selling well and then revert back to arrogant Sony when things are going their way. Their E3 is probably going to be shite as well. Be smart, grab a Xbone and a Wii U. At least those will have games.

2016 probably, if it only had a teaser last year I doubt it would have full gameplay this year. I mean The Order did and it's being pushed back, which is fine I guess if it makes for a better game. Seems to be a third party year for Sony though.

It's weird thinking of all these future years and games, I feel like a space man. 20XX for everything!
 
The delay seems to have benefited Drive Club so it should be okay.

It will be worth waiting a few extra months to get an overall more polished game. Just hope they put that time towards the gameplay, which looks kind of dry atm.

Okay thats just ignorant. GT and Motorstorm were great games for Sony.

I'm fine with the delay. The game already looks fantastic visually and should end up as one of the best looking games available on next-gen consoles. Hopefully RAD will use the extra time to polish gameplay, so it has solid game mechanics to go with it's visuals and story.

I'm not being naive at all. Sunset Overdrive, Old halo games, and maybe Forza. That's not going to light the world on fire.

Even if Sony released nothing this fall, they'll still have superior versions of every third party game.
 
What's left for Holiday 2014? At this point it's just Driveclub. I expect TLOU Remaster to be pushed back to fill in the gap.
 
Hey at least they're not rushing out broken products. People complain on buggy, broken games but cry every time news of a delay comes

Looked pretty fun to me, that shoot-out. I think some people have completely unrealistic expectations, but now I'm just curious what big 1st-party game Sony's gonna use for the holiday. It can't just be DriveClub.

But about The Order, its kind sad for PS4 if at this E3 they do not fill the gap with one more strong exclusive this year, other then Drive Club. But thats not a huge delay, I can wait, specially since this game is looking so amazing!

I want a wide selection of bigger exclusives and multiplat games before I buy the hardware.

The exclusives aren´t very enticing so far...but I´m sure they´ll get there come 2015.

(Soma, Beast Souls etc.)
