The Order: 1886 screenshots

What's Shinobi's track record on this kind of thing? With the likes of Dualshockers making a story out of every gaming-related Twitter post in existence at this point, it's hard to tell who's legitimate, who used to be legitimate but let low level forum fame go to their head, and who never knew a damn thing.

Well he outed not only the fact that the twitch tease on friday was unknown to the devs but also the fact there is new previews on Tuesdays then there's the other things like halo 5 info he outed recently.

QB will be spring are my guesses
He also saying QB wouldn't make it for this year.

Where's this delay rumor coming from? Source? It's like people are just throwing it out there to see if it'll stick.

OT - Is there any chance Sony will have another title for release this fall?

Morpheus will be a huge part of the conference, show me anything on MS side that can compete with that

Mopheus is really exciting but it's still a ways off and I personally don't want to see it dominating the conference. This is the first year of a new console cycle. Show me games that make me excited for its future, not a peripheral where I'll need to drop more money in order to use it.

And VR demos on stage would be pretty poor. VR is something you have to use in order to actually buy into it. Seeing someone use it on stage wouldn't really convey a whole lot to us watching.

Yes,but it is not likely to be a new IP if that's the case.

Into the Nexus, GT6, PS All Star, LBP Karting, Singstar PS4 are all announced and released within the year itself. (well, not yet for Singstar)

It's not always the case, but occasionally Sony tends to have them.

I can see why some people are disappointed. Man Sony's 2015 is looking really good though. I wonder how PS4 will do against kinectless XB1 and SO, FH2 and Halo.

in terms on perception, fanboys and overall allot of gamer that follow sites like ign, basically associate their console of your to the first party games you have, even if they dont buy those exact games.

Which is why arguably the biggest title on the Xbox 360 which helped it carry itself in NA was Call of Duty, a third party title right? A multiplatform that has outsold all of MS's and Sony's exclusives bar none. Yeah, a potential lack of first party exclusives is really going to kill Sony this fall.

What the fuck is this shit?
Is my late night sarcasm meter broken?

Nearly every post he's made in a thread about this game has had "Sony's Ryse" somewhere in it.

He even asked if RAD has specifically responded that that comment when he was the only person saying it.

I wish games that were actually started for horsepower would letterbox. Much better solution than scaling in my opinion. That said, I do know that's not the case here. RAD are wizards on hardware and this game is running at 30 frames, so there's plenty of headroom.

Seriously hitting playable cg this gen (for consoles anyway). I'm stoked!

Absolutely absurd if this game is 2015. So Drive Club and a remastered PS3 game for 2014?

The PS4's holiday season will certainly be negatively impacted by a lack of The Order in 2014. In terms of first-party releases, Sony can't live on DriveClub and The Last of Us Remaster. Third-party games will help fill the release schedule, at least.

I find it interesting that people now take for granted that Xbox one will have forsa horizon 2 and halo 2 anniversary before 2015 and they will be announced at e3, but that sony can't have anything else besides the order, TLOU remastered and Driveclub because it would have been announced by now. Let's wait until e3 to see the announcement of the fall games before judging them.

It's not really interesting, it's just that we've had some leaks on the XBOX front. Leaks are harder to come by on the PS front right now it seems. I hope Sony knocks everyone socks of with some megaton releasing 2014 and we'll all be like "how can I hold all these gmz"? Sunset & Halo and hopefully Horizon on the XBO front and The Order, Driveclub, and insert megaton on the PS4 front would be great. Should keep our systems happy!

Now how to find the time to play it all?

I am under the impression that people keep mentioning those Sony first party software and the necessity to have more of them so that they could come out victorious of the next fanboyish battle of the exclusives. Why do I care what title come from where! The truth is, this year is going to have a lot of games : The Evil Within, Destiny, The Witness, Driveclub...Enough to sustain any avid reasonable player. But NO! I wanna exclusives! Well, making games takes time, and the more time they invest in them, the better...

The fact is : the PS4 does not need games to sell well...

If The Order is delayed to 2015 the "problem" will be for the PS4 owners, not for Sony..

And i'm secretely hoping Project Beast for 2014.. ( if it is developed since the release of Dark Souls )

The fact is : the PS4 does not need games to sell well...

That's not really a fact though. The PS4 nearly has a three game attach rate worldwide. Sony certainly can't get back into the PS3 mentality where at least at one point they really did think that it didn't need games, and that bit them in the ass.

Exclusives are a major aspect of owning a certain system. If Sony offered nothing unique over the X1, PC, or Wii U, why would a person buy a PS4? If The Last of Us and Driveclub are the only major Sony-published retail exclusives remaining for 2014 it puts Sony in a tough spot. The hardware will still sell well but the appeal will be diminished some by not having a major release to draw in more people.

Ahhh I'm sorry, but if PS4 gamers don't have game's to play, then satisfaction with the system will be diminished and this will hurt the system's public perception which will in turn weaken sales.

Then it WILL be Sony's problem.

Sony thought they didn't need games for the PS3 to sell well in the beginning too. Look how that brilliant deduction turned out!

They have the best version of 3rd party multi-plats...they'll be fine.

By " games " i mean " exclusives games ", i really think that the PS4 is selling well thanks to his brand image, people are buying the PS4 because it's trendy.

Of course i'm speaking about the general public and not us, the regular players.

So we're back at "Ps4 haz no gaemz!!1!" just because we don't know Sony's full lineup for this Fall (but still people believe MS has the upper hand because they got leaks), especially two weeks from the biggest event in the industry? Also now they are expecting a conference completely void of any megaton? Fucking ridicolous.

Anyway, games sure looks spectacular and that atmosphere is like a wet dream of mine, sadly i don't like TPSs :(

No I won't. I will be pretty pissed if there are no more notable exclusives in 2014.

The point the previous poster was made was that Sony will have a problem if they don't have enough exclusives, they won't. PS4 will sell regardless - having the better 3rd parties helps a bit more.

So I was reading the last pages and went off my computer when I came back I went to the last page and wondered if I still were on the Order thread doesn't the debate about wether it'll be delayed or not and if it's sony doesn't have a lot of exclusives
(Even if i disagree with this statement even if it's just a few the xbox doesn't have much more to show) I think the important in this tread is to talk about the Order.

And most of all how MIND FUCKING BLOWING it is I mean I got a good pc and I never seen anything like that on my pc more, If I didn't know it would be on ps4 I'd probably say that I don't have a good enough rig to run this
So praise the game (if not for the gameplay because even if the guns look nice and fun we don't know if it'll be fun to play) praise it's graphics I think that's the only point we can agree on
(And finally excuse me for my bad english I'm french and you know french and english .... do I have to say more)

Surrender me if stupid.

Oh, so it's not because it offers a better value (cheaper, better specs) and has a hugely positive reaction from the people who bought it?

I'm guessing the 360 also only sold because it was trendy. Surely the overall value proposition had nothing to do with it.

Edit: LOL nib forgot that indies =/= gaemz.

Presently the PS4 has had more games released for it than its main competitor each and every month following their launches, I'm sure this will go on most if not all of the year. Microsoft having just one more major exclusive than Sony isn't gong to change that, especially when the PS4 will get far more indie game releases, far more indie exclusives, and the best versions of multiplatform games. Look at the bigger picture.

If the delay is real, man.. this fall sucks balls when it comes to exclusives.

At least Sunset Overdrive is going to make it this year. Maybe Hyrule Warriors too though I have no interest in a Dynasty Warriors with a Zelda skin.

Yeah I'm not worried and I'm definitely not complaining. But still, it's not unreasonable to expect some big exclusives to hit before a console's second holiday season.

I bet they even count the Master Chief Collection as separate games just to boost their exclusive count. It will be hilarious if PS4 still sells xbone even though Sony have literally fucking nothing.

I can't believe we're only a few months into the first year of this gen, and already people are becoming concerned about nogamez. The masses don't give a shit for exclusive games, and just want the best versions of Fifa, CoD and Creed that all their friends are playing, so we'll see this November which way they're going to jump.

I think Sony are going to be okay, and I'd rather a game was finished before release rather than Forza'd just to get something out on the shelf.

You talk as if it's a over span of almost two years, by Christmas it will only be one year, three weeks since its release.

I think you you overestimate the large public, they only want to play their COD and their FIFA with better visuals.

And everywhere in the world ( maybe not in USA ) the Playstation was always the console which it is necessary to buy to be " fashionable ".

Very possible. However, I was framing my statements to fit America, because as we all know, America = world (the real reason is that it is a foregone conclusion that Sony will dominate in most of the rest of the world).

Both dropped the fucking ball with the game releases lineup. Fucking PS3 and 360 over stayed their welcome and had too much shit being crammed in too late into the generation. 6 months prior to releases with the PS4 and Xbone and we are already at a point where there is jack shit but mutilplats are actually releasing this year, and hell, most of the multiplat titles are cross-gen that don't even need the new systems to play (Destiny, etc.). Hearing everything skipping this year makes it seem like both Sony and MS went to Square-Enix to be trained in the arts of slow ass release schedules.

AKA, already it's "Please be excited" mode.

Its amazing how much the PS4's good image and positive press has effected the casual gamer (though the casual gamer is not really casual anymore, with the rise of the internet and social media, the casual gamer is well informed of the hardcore news)

practically all my friends now who were 360 gamers have gone or are veering towards a PS4, just based on the positive twilight years of the PS3 and the good image of the PS4.

The thing is all my friends dont know anything about the specs, resoultiongate or gddr5

They just see on the interwebs that the PS4 is £80 cheaper, is more powerful and they think its better without even really knowing what the differences entail.

Therefore even if the ps4 only has tlou:remake and driveclub I think it will still sell well based on the momentum. The only way the momentum will be shunned is if Microsoft hammers advertising telling people about its superior exclusive line up and price parity.

and if the X1 does have more exclusive games this year and the press and interwebs make a fuss about it, the same casual s that got sucked in by the ps4's good press will get sucked in to the X1's good press.

Its been confirmed to have been ''out of pre production and in production'' over a year a go.

? Just google "Quantum Break News" and filter for the last week.

There's a few articles that Remedy will be releasing news soon and there will be more info at E3... then there's about 50 articles that it is rumoured delayed until sometime until 2015 and (quotes from people in Microsoft) 'just went into full production' ...

“It’s a big first party title, we’re not talking about it much, but it’s a big exciting title – just hit full production.”- Needham 20 May 2014.

Well, I disagree. Just in the last few months I've bought, pre-ordered, downloaded or played InFamous, SteamWorld Dig, Rayman Legends, Child of Light, Transistor, Watch Dogs, UFC 14, Mercenary Kings and Stick it to the Man. And missed out games like FFXIV, MGS V: Ground Zeroes, Trials Fushion and Wolfenstein.

I think it's really only bleak on the gaming front if people have really specialist or narrow genre interests, or only play stuff that's super highly critically received. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I wouldn't like more AAA super highly received games, or that I'm not annoyed The Order is delayed, but lets not pretend there are no games to play as a result, there are and will be plenty. Just depends on your tastes and whether you're willing to play them.
