The Order of the Giants AWOL?

The Other Thing releasing today, the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle DLC The Order of the Giants (in fact it released like half an hour ago) is weirdly absent from the internet. No reviews, no nothing.

Anyone got it yet and can share impressions?

I still barely know what it is. I don't always go for DLC, but I loved the game so I'll hear how long it is and if it's worth the price.

I still haven't even had a chance to really dig into this game, and my gamepass expires this month and I frankly don't see me renewing. I love games like this, but I'm too goddamn busy these days. Here's hoping a complete edition of some type is on sale within a year or so on Steam and I'll just get it there.

Bought it already. Hoping to start next week. Seems it's pretty good with even better puzzles, 4-5 hours for normal play through and 7-8 for 100%. So that's 10-12 hours for someone that has no sense of direction and gets lost, like me!

Supposedly 5 hrs. Set in the sewers under Rome. You use a boat a lot like act 3. I will get it eventually but I usually skip 99% of DLC.
Boat traversal was the worst in sukhothai, who thought it would be a good idea to use that again...
I bought the deluxe edition so i will play it, but i sincerly hope it will be full of lore about
the nephilims order and Noah's ark

It is a little cumbersome, but I still respect the attempt. A lot of 3 act structure games can get repetitive with the same set up repeated in different zones, like Ghost of Tsushima or Days Gone. Games I like, but grew old before the credits. Indiana Jones I think made each of the zones different enough to get me to the end successfully; totally different scenery, cultures, and level design styles in all 3. But yeah, it is a little cumbersome at times for sure.

Indy gameplay was fun for the most part, and i suppose you can fast travel once you find the posts so it is not that much of a hassle, but still another mindboggling decision on Todd's part.
I usually play dlcs because i liked the story/universe of the game so i guess i'll be pleased as long as that is what this dlc does. Im knid of scared about it being accessible in the 1st chapter, since it should mean you won't learn anything new really about the end game revelations (which is what interest me as i pointed before).

I've read some positive impressions about the new location and the puzzles, but it's still pricy for several hours of content. Don't think many people will buy it or upgrade, especially if they finished the base game in Game Pass (and the DLC isn't part of it).

I have it downloaded. I finished Gears Reloaded this past weekend so I will play this along with Silksong. I finished the base game before i got my 5070ti, so I am looking forward to jumping back into the game.

Pricey?

20 bucks for, as you put it, "several hours of content." Not two, not three, but several...is still is too much for your ass?

It's quarter of what they've charged for the base game, so yeah, that is quite a lot for 4-5 hours of gameplay. Horizon Forbidden West's DLC costed the same and it introduced more content.

Played it and completed it, if you loved base game you should get this. DLC is fantastic just like the main game, no action just puzzles and exploration. Puzzles are harder and smarter and nice little story. Same cheeky indy and situations.

Great work by machinegames. Hope sequel comes.

That is great to hear. The exploration and puzzles were absolutely the best part of the main game.

More of the same bloaty, checkbox bullshit you mean. And it was nothing special imo aside from looking pretty.

Maybe it was shit, I didn't buy it as I was forcing myself to finish the main game. :) My attitude towards shorter expansions is usually negative if they have a 20-30 dollar pricetag. Same reason why I waited for Lost Judgment's DLC to have a big sale, wasn't planning to spend full price just to extend my time with the game by 4-5 hours.

I got around to playing this and was not a fan. I absolutely loved the base game but this just didn't do it for me. While not bad per se, it just didn't have any energy behind it. As for the boat comments, you really don't use a boat that much. There's like two area that use it and they are pretty much straight line paths.

On that note, have they said if there will be more DLC or is this it?
