Square Enix doesn't generate money through their own ecosystem like Playstation. Playstation's first party revenue accounts for about 15% of their business. They depend on having a massive console player base, in which they can milk like there is no tomorrow. I say this as a gamer who hopes Playstation goes fully multiplatform. Who wants to pay for monthly online? So currently none......but you somehow believe in the future they will do it?
Square most certainly aint on board with that plan, and From aint either.
Not when PC games are easy port jobs and borderline free sales.
Sony is NOT going to abandon the PC platform.....not now, its too much money for relatively little work.
PC bres be eating!
Isnt GT7 a PS4 game?
And my point was/is Sony isnt going to be spending money to make a game PS5 exclusive, they are in the business of porting to PC now, the number of PS5 games that cross over will far outweigh the PS5 games that dont.
You can quote me in a year or two when this all comes to pass.
Just realized theres very little actually announce for PS5 over the next two years.
Playstation will move heaven and earth to make the PS6 seem worth it to their customers. They are the biggest brand in gaming. People thinking they are going day and date on PC(except for gaas) dont realize the amount of money they would lose doing that. Their first party single player games, one year after release, dont even sell that well on PC. And Playstation isn't Microsoft. They have 6-7 big time studios and that is it. It's a relatively small part of their business
