All these 80$ games is good news for Steam.
More people will not be buying on launch with more eyeballs on Steam sales. Publishers who might have put their game after an year on Steam might go earlier and push discount earlier than usual due to low release month numbers.
Ofcourse to have some legs down the line and not rely on release hype, your game actually has to be good. Which Outer Worlds 1 & 2 isn't.
This seems like the strategy here. I am still deeply confused why people buy games on PC for full price when they can sub to GP and play them. There are always way too many games to play, buying makes no sense when you can access them for way less.
I'm hearing the physical copies on consoles are just codes in a box? Anyone else seen that?
Phil "physical media" Spencer if true.
Edit: Seems just the Xbox version? Best Buy listing for the PS5 version just has the "internet required" badge on it. (Same thing for NG4 for those who want it. Xbox version on Best Buy says it's a code in a box, PS5 version doesn't. NG4 on PS5 doesn't even have the internet required badge from what I saw)
Nope. Not even a Switch 2 yet. I also haven't bought many $70 games either. This isn't just on Nintendo, because Sony started selling $70 games and most were fine with it. So that's what you get for accepting the slippery slope.
Personally, I feel like $60 was the "sweet spot" for new games. I have, on occasion, bought a few premium priced games, but I have a very large backlog of games that keeps me from having to pay what publishers want.
What a joke coming from you, the poster boy for the PS fanatic. I bet I own more PS games than you do, but where we differ is I don't only support and enjoy a single company. Oh noes! You got me pegged as a "green rat" simply because I own and like my Series X, GOD FORBID! How dare I not bow down to master Sony only! The horror.
But don't stress about it, keep throwing the laugh emoji at every post I make that doesn't suck Sony's dick.
