Because this was widely discussed in this thread last weekend, I'm now linking you guys up with a timely release from 60 Second Simpsons mainstay Jims @ NoHomers.net who just put out this retrospective on the Who Shot Mr. Burns? two-parter and its many clues and mysteries.

Simpsons Mysteries - Who REALLY Shot Mr. Burns? (Part 1)
Part 2 is now up... time to see where all of this analysis leads.
Just got around to watching this reworked theory on who really shot Mr. Burns if Maggie was simply a convenient cover-up scapegoat and not the actual shooter. It's some really impressive deduction.
If you think you know everything there is to know about that two-parter, think again.

Bart: Looking for something?
Lisa: What have you done with my report?
Bart: I've hidden it.
Bart: To find it, you'll have to decipher a series of clues, each more fiendish than...

This was always one of my favorite scenes just because of how random it is.

Bart: ...so then I says to Mabel, I says...

Homer: Hi, kids!
Bart: I'll finish this later. Hi, Dad.
Homer: Where's your mother?
Lisa: Out back.

Bart: So anyway, I says to Mabel, I says...

I kinda miss old era Abe Simpson. He was full of character, and Old Money really made me teary-eyed.

That might be my all-time favorite Simpsons episode. So many great moments.

So I was randomly playing pictionary last night with some friends and was reminded of and bothered by the scene where Ned and Maude correctly draw and guess Cornstarch.

Ned says, "Helps keepin down the urges" - anybody want to explain this? Is there some type of innuendo or does cornstarch actually reduce your sex drive?

Just watched Colonel Homer and it's a really sweet episode. Homer is shown as a really sweet well-spirited and nice character, he's just not getting Lurleen advances in a way that a lot of guys can be. He's maybe forgotting his family a bit while focusing on her carrer but not in a bad way. Marge jalousy is showing an usual trait in her. She's seen as kinda psycho but not like in It's a Mad Mad Mad Marge. Also Lurleen is a great character and her music is really great.

Episodes based on Homer & Marge relationship often bore me to death, even classic era ones, but this has to be my favourite. It's just so sweet.

Well when Kelloggs invented cornflakes it was apparently partly to help stop young men masturbating or something. I'm not sure how exactly. Maybe it's to do with that?

Skinner: OK, Libya.. exports!
Bart: Yes, sir, you American pig!
Skinner: Nice touch.
Bart: Uh, ahem, let's see...
The exports of Libya are numerous in amount. One thing they export
is corn, or as the Indians call it, "mase". Another famous Indian was
"Crazy Horse". In conclusion, Libya is a land of contrast. Thank you.

Homer (as he attempts to eat sentient alien goo): Oh no you don't! If I can keep down Arby's, I can keep down you!

Krusty (as he lets loose Mr. Teeny inside Marge's sandwich shop): Go ahead, Teeny. Show 'em what we did to Arby's.

Neighbor: Hey, there, Kirk...
Kirk: Oh, boy, what's going on? Patio party?
Neighbor: No, a possum drowned in the pool. You have any garbage bags?
Kirk: Ah, just throw it over the fence, let Arby's worry about it.
