I just recently watched Westworld, and it was amazing how many parts of Itchy & Scratchy Land were parodies of it. Even the map of the park!

He did so by redrawing the Simpsons designs, re-writing & adding scenes, redesigning the sets depending on the frame. Everything was a mess, nothing matched up or looked right, & it all was half assed & poorly animated.

When that episode was fully animated & came back from Korea, Everyone on the Simpsons staff & the Fox execs sat down to watch it for the first time.
Afterwards, Matt told everyone to get out except for Sam Simon & James Brooks. They agreed that it was shit & would ruin the series if it was put on the air.

So they delayed the series for a few months, even though commercials were already airing on TV & sent that episode back for re-animation.
They prayed the other episodes coming in from Korea would follow what they specifically told the animators & not be completely off model & re-written or else they would have to scrap the series.
They were saved with the Christmas episode.

If you rewatch the babysitter episode you can still see remains of Gabor Csupo handiwork when Maggie is watching TV & one of the Happy Little Elves bites the head off another & blood starts squirting out as he dances around the corpse.

It's been forever since I got out my season 1 DVDs, but I just took them out to watch this again.

Thanks for the link AlphaSnake. Honestly some of it looks better imo. The models are definitely off but there's positives to it as well. I expected to be shocked and disgusted.

I don't like that all these threads were moved to Community. I never go in Community. I still don't understand what the point of the Community forums are. This is just going to make me miss out on many threads. I liked the simplicity of having Gaming and Off-Topic.

I'd prefer it just be Gaming and OT. It's simple enough. And I usually click back about 7/8 pages to see what I missed anyway. Plus big topics pop to the top very often so I rarely miss good stuff if it's good enough. Having Community forums just dilutes everything more and having them as sub-forums makes them harder to find. (Penny-Arcade forum suffers from this. They not only have like a dozen normal forums, two of them being Off-Topic, but many have multiple sub-forums and it makes that forum extremely annoying to navigate. I find myself rarely visiting because topics are so thinned out I never find enough interesting topics to want to stick around.)

But then, I'm not the owner of GAF so I can't make command decisions like this. So let's get back to our Simpsons talk. If there ever is a "Why do we need Community forums?" topic, I'll post my thoughts there too.
