So EA gets rid of things costing them money and leaks plans for projects expected to be successful. Looks like they are priming themselves for a buyout.

Sims "next gen"?

Hard to believe they are moving away from goofy looking characters when they never had that interest to begin with. And, since it looks like "same experience on different devices" makes even less believable to me.

I've tried two different The Sims games already, few times each. I have decent fun but what always stops me playing is the game time. My guy takes a shower, 40 minutes. Looks for a place where to put down is plate, 10 minutes. Just spinning around thanks to shitty pathfinding, 15 minutes.

Fix these first.

Yeah, and the bars drop way too quickly, you shouldn't have to sleep so frequently when you're young, nor should you be going to the toilet so often, they can ramp that stuff up when your older, but being young should let you be a lot more physical, it should never be treated as an exhaustive chore to send your sim out to the shops.

I'm not impressed but I knew that I wouldn't be as I'm no longer invested in the future of The Sims since 2014+.

Personally, I like TS3 aesthetic the best because I prefer more maturity and realism than immaturity (childish humor) and stylized art styles for a life sim. While it's unfortunate TS3 may never get the remake it deserves to be rebuilt from the ground up using all the latest technology such as real-time ray tracing, being 64-Bit and so on from a team who actually has nothing but love and care for the game and what they do, at least TS3 exists, however outdated it may be. But to me, it is still one of the most advanced Sims games I have ever played.

The Sims Project Rene looks like how TS4 should have been released and most likely the original concept of The Sims Olympus but with a dramatic boost in graphics. The Sims Olympus project name turned into the so-called The Sims 4. It was supposed to be cross platform, and you could play with your Origin friends and likely very huge on both micro and macrotransactions. TS4 already and notoriously too, uses the model to the extreme concerning add-ons/DLC. But you know, I'm not surprised the games' fanbase just doesn't care and looks forward to what's to come. Whatever makes one happy right? But then if you look at this situation from a different perspective such as the abuser (Company) and the abusee (consumers) why is it this horrible, unfair treatment gets the green light from some is beyond me. Hopefully that won't be the case for this new iteration but seriously I know better and is one of the main reasons why I never fell for TS4 and not interested in the future of The Sims as it is dead to me.

Hope everyone who moves on actually enjoys it wholeheartedly if they didn't like TS4. I'll just stick with TS/TS2 when I'm feeling nostalgic but mainly TS3 for its awesome A.I., aesthetic and innovation.
