The Song above you... Rate it!!!

Hey not bad, though i'm not a fan of that singin'.

Ok, so i listened to this song, like, 7 years ago and loved it, but lost it ever since.. i finally found it again, and i'm quite happy about it, so i'll post it here:

Thunderball - The Road to Benares.

NinjaBoiX may like it, as it's pretty groovy.

It's good background stuff, if I were to focus on other things. I have heard of the artist before, but haven't heard their stuff, so it's good to hear it now.
-----

I've been into Joanna Newsom lately.

Specifically the song "In California"

I have one of her records but never got around to listening to it, it's good!.

This Sunday I will be watching Paradise Lost at long last!

Paradise Lost - Say just words

Oh hey, welcome back.

That's an amazing song. Gonna check out the album now. 9/10

The Fall of Troy - F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.

I like, sort of an early 80's American punk vibe with metal overtones. 8/10

This is a young artist who's first release was a collection of Rancid songs done in her own style. Sort of pushes the point that just because people are screaming the lyrics, doesn't mean they don't have something to say.

I need to just say "Today is the day you are going to buckle down and listen to all the early Floyd albums". I know they are good. I just haven't done it yet. But I enjoyed that. 8/10

Still listening to this album non-stop. Jeez is it good.
Sebadoh - The Freed Pig

Not really my thing, but it was a decent track. Not too much a fan of the vocalist, but I guess that goes with the style. 6/10

Monster Truck - Sweet Mountain River

Had this song on my work playlist for about a month and loved it, and then I found out that it was in Rocksmith 2014 recently.

Very nice, chill, fits the rainy mood perfectly, 8/10.

Hemendex - Just Because

8/10 I actually ended up liking this, it gave me a total 80s synth-pop vibe. I expected to not be a fan of it, but I actually liked it a lot!

Haken - Atlus Stone

Thanks to fellow gaffer OnettHansen, I am now obsessed with Haken, they give me a total modern Yes sound with a hint of Primus thrown in. They're a great modern prog rock band that truly deserve more attention.

Woah, this is really cool. Kind of a throwback vibe. And her voice is fantastic. 8/10

Speaking of throwbacks, Death - Keep On Knocking

Saw the documentary the other day, what a great story! This is not their best song imo, though. 9/10

I'll post Breaking and reaching by Snapcase, one of my favorite hardcore songs from one of my favorite hardcore albums.

Snapcase - Breaking and Reaching

(it's a full album upload but the link should take you to track 10)

I run and I fall while the world keeps on running
running right by me
don't bother to lend a hand
they want me to follow but I can't understand
and I'll wait
I'll wait
but they don't acknowledge me
I've bought the answers even when I disagreed
breaking
breaking my inhibitions
reaching
reaching my destination
when you're sinking you'll learn to edify
treat yourself like someone
give someone a piece of your mind
regrets are tokens of what has gone untold
you're only special when you break from the mold
breaking
breaking my inhibitions
reaching
reaching my destination

Really loving the instrumentation in this track, it's really good. Lyrics are great too but I'm sadly not too much a fan of the vocalist, mainly because it's a style that I'm not too much a fan of, but they really fit for this track. I really liked the bass solo too, it's too good. While I'm not a fan of the genre, I can appreciate that this is a great track. 7/10

And time for something completely different:

Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe (Yes) - Time and a Word/Owner of a Lonely Heart/Teakbois Live Medley

from An Evening of Yes Music Plus (1993)

Your song reminded me of Van Morrison, but better. 6/10
