The Song above you... Rate it!!!

This is great. The singer's voice is a little unorthodox, but the instrumentation is amazing. I love the almost-Tango sound, and the lyrics are beautiful. 9/10.
I know a few unorthodox female singers. Their voices are rather refreshing compared to most standard singers today. It really just goes to show that most people can sing, it really just matters in how the music fits in.

I used to listen to The Decemberists a lot; they were my favorite band at one point. "The King is Dead" is probably my favorite album by them due to it's folk-rock influences.

More unique female singers!

I have trouble latching onto what the vocalist's saying, though: when he goes into a higher register his voice gets really thin, and at other times it's just kind of mumbly. Granted, this isn't a genre I usually listen to (most of my playlist is folk, pop, rock, or some combo of those three), so maybe there's something here I'm missing. Groovy, though! Some of those riffs are pretty catchy.

Such a unique song.. I guarantee if I was going to write a song for that instrumental, I wouldn't have been anywhere close to that direction. I love the breakdown as well, "poor me a drink and i'll tell you a lie, baby what would you like to hear." Clean vocal work, yet the instrumental clutters it at many points. Groovy, yet a bit sloppy. 7/10

I like your attitude towards things man. Or woman if you aren't a man. Cool person.
Not really my thing but still was pretty chill. I'll give it a 6/10.

More good vibes: Courtney Barnett - Avant Gardener

Thanks! I'm a dude btw :)

Cute lyrics, vocalist has a very nonchalant style which makes this very easy to approach. Bits of tension here and there with the guitar static. Relaxed yet it feels sturdy. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I wouldn't mind hearing this again.

Awesome prog-rock from Japan (if you like this, check out Serenade, Godspeed, supply, or anybody from the G5/G7 Projects):

This sounded so japanese... reminded me of DAYTOOOOONAAAAA LET'S GO AWAY! a bit. And just for that bit of nostalgia provided I give it a 10.

I recently watch the AMMMMMAAAAZING documentary Last Days Here which has got me obsessed with Pentagram

Here's one of my fav songs from them

Dug it till the vocals kicked in. Guitar is nice though...not an emo fan but I can dig some post rock. I like the solo back and forth between the two guitars.

I kind of like it, but it's teetering over the threshold of "overprocessed" for me.

Anyway, I watched a movie a few days ago, and liked this song.

Oh hey, it's Madoka. It sounds like it'd fit for the movie, don't know if I'd listen to it normally though.

edit:

Not my cup of tea.

Natalia Kills - Saturday Night

Momma you’re beautiful tonight,
Movie star hair and that black eye,
I can’t even notice it when you smile so hard through a heart felt lie,
Go kiss the liquor off his laugh,
Another suitcase full of cash,
Shiny apologies in a velvet box,
What a real good man.

We drive brand new cars and we light fine cigars,
We shine like small town stars through the best days of our lives,

We will walk right down the pavement,
I know we’re gonna be just fine,
And I’ll put on my dancing shoes real tight,
‘Cause it’s just another Saturday night

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Just another Saturday night,
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh.

Another fist, another wall,
We lose ourselves we lose it all,
I wrote him a hundred times,
Can you hear my heart through the prison bars?
The boys I kiss don’t know my name,
The tears I cry all taste of blame,
Bad luck and dirty cops,
I’m a fucking teenage tragedy,

I walk lonely streets and I talk big time dreams,
So hold on before you see that you’re better off without me,

Cause when I look up from the pavement,
I know I’m gonna be just fine,
And I’ll put on my dancing shoes real tight,
‘Cause it’s just another Saturday night

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Just another Saturday night,
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh.

There’s a rainbow on the bathroom door again,
Where the lipstick slides and the pearls all fly oh.
I’m gone and I ain’t coming back this time,
I’m gonna find my home underneath the city lights oh.

Pills fall like diamonds from my purse,
Right out the hole in my fur coat,
Straight down the gutter goes my antidote to a broken girl,
I promise I’ll be the one you want,
Don’t tell me I’m unfixable,
You don’t know what it’s like to be seventeen with no place to go,

But give me just one night and I’ll be almost fine,
Remind me one more time it’s the best days of my life,

Cause when I look up from the pavement,
I know I'm gonna be just fine,
And I’ll put on my dancing shoes real tight,
‘Cause it’s just another Saturday night

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Just another Saturday night,
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh,
Cause it's just another Saturday night,
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Just another Saturday night,
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
This is just another Saturday night.
This is just another Saturday night.
This is just another Saturday night.
This is just another Saturday night.
This is just another Saturday night.
