Nice man, reminded me of The Coral, which is surely a good thing! Had a great rhythm too.

Cheikh Lô - Ne La Thiass

http://www.last.fm/music/Cheikh+Lô/_/Ne+La+Thiass

A brilliant singer songwriter from Senegal. His songs often have a gorgeously lilting samba beat, exceptional guitar playing, and thick warm vocal melodies. It's proper BBQ sunshine music.

I don't understand the lyrics but I do love the beat! Very easy to put this song on repeat.

Something just a tad different:
Snowlight - Yuta Konishi

hah, no reason to be sorry. it's definitely not music for everyone, it gains a little structure as it goes on but you probably wouldn't like it overall if the intro put you off that much.
the song was decent, i really was not a fan of the raspy vocals or tinny mixing though. 4/10

guitar improv:
guthrie govan - ner ner

Really interesting. It started off sounding like something from Metal Gear, then went all Pink Floyd. Very sombre and evocative.

I'd say I enjoyed it, but perhaps not something I'd choose to listen to.

The Joy Formidable - A Heavy Abacus

It sounds like Throwing Muses on ecstasy. It's just so joyous and noisy! Perfect summer time record.

Felt a bit long, but when I looked at the tab after I finished it was only 3:44. Guess I found it sort of uninteresting, but not offending in any way. 6/10

Unknown Mortal Orchestra - Swim and Sleep (Like a Shark)

I'd post the music video but it seems a bit too risque.

The music sounded pretty good, then the vocals came in.

Nope.

I'm not going to lie, I stopped it after 2 minutes. I just can't get into stuff like this. The screamo nonsense is just bullshit posturing to me. I like emo (clearly) but this is just taken to the max. I just don't buy it, so the over-emoting just seems superfluous, and actually detracts from the rest of the band.

8/10 for the music (they actually sounded a bit like Faraquet musically, which is awesome. But the rhythms were a lot quicker.)

- 5 for the vocals.

3/10. Sorry man!

The Dead Weather - Treat Me Like Your Mother

Jack White and Alison Mossheart, aww yiss. I love this tune, Jack showing his props on the drums, juicy riffs and snarling vocals. Fucking awesome video too.

Not something I'd usually listen to, and I wasn't sure what to expect. It gets a little tedious / monotonous toward the end, but is certainly not bad.

Search Party - Wintersleep

Very good, did not know this band.

Reminds me a bit of slowcore bands like Tram, although the vocals are quite different.

EDIT: IceDoesntHelp song

Japanese Electro, that's a first for me, although I would've expected it to be much crazier since Japanese tend to crank everything everyone else do to 11. It's ok.

This is very different. I like the "atonal" sound of the keyboard, followed by the dreamy synth. 8/10

Dark Quarterer - Colossus of Argil

You would think that this came from the early to mid 70's, but it is in fact from the late 80's. Also the sound quality is what it is, the songs were recorded that way.

It's pretty good considering. I do like the guitar quite a bit, not a fan of the vocals. 8/10
