I just love Steelbook cases. It's nice for ... Collectors. I am a collector. Of tin cases.

Soundtrack and Art slide were just butter.

Well I only ordered from Amazon because the last time I ordered a steelcase from Gamestop.com it came scratched and dented since they packaged it in a slightly bubble wrapped envelope. I pre ordered Persona 3 from Amazon and had no problems getting it within a few days.

Nope,i'm in Canada and ordered it from EBGames,wasn't in their system back then,i had to mention to look into Vesperia CE instead of Tales,and they had it then but yesterday they started giving me the runaround,saying they don't have it yet,not in the system anymore etc,etc but they had a bunch of regular games in...i'm thinking of cancelling the whole CE and just grabbing the regular edition...I hate when EBGames does that,i don't mind if a store that sells frying pan in the next row,like Walmart,fuck up like this sometimes but not a place that specialise in games only...i'll wait till tomorrow and if it's still not in,i guess it's an online thing only and anyone who oredered the CE any other way,won't get it.

Amazon seems to be sending the CE to random people. My friend preordered long long ago and still hasn't received it, I ordered it like 2 weeks or so ago and got it yesterday. :lol

Is this game easy to play for non jrpg players, I love anime and I like the look of the game....and I'm glad it's real time battles.

Have you ever played a Tales game before? I personally hate most traditional JRPGs (turn-based gameplay tends to bore me to tears), and I love this series...

Me too. I had a friend recommend Symphonia but I never got around to playing it. I love the art style I think ima get it I want a new game for this weekend and I have enough shooters and sports games. (mercs2, madden, too human)

I thought the CE was just one big myth.

10 hours in this game is amazing (except secret missions which are the worst ideas ever).

Wow, fighting multiple enemies at the beginning is kinda a pain. Not the usual charge in and start hacking. Although I think I missed a chest from the first real "dungeon"....
In the statue room, I didn't even notice a chest until the cutscene moving the statue
Hopefully there was nothing in it.

You will have another crack at it later, but yeah, in every dungeon, try to get all the chests you can, lots of good equipment can be found.

WHAT THE SCHNAPS! Third boss hate. This is ridiculous. Not kidding. Plus I can't go out to get supplies and heal myself. So I guess I am finished.

No stores near me had this, luckily gamefly shipped it earlier. I should have it by Saturday, then I can just use the discount I have and buy it for around $38, can't wait. =)

5 hours in. Quite the game. Having not reading any reviews and what not, I'm going in fresh so the experience is quite awesome. Voice acting isn't too shabby either. Tolerable. Not annoying.

I know someone here asked about HubbaGames, and it seems like they do have the stock that they actually claim they have. My shipped and I ordered yesterday.

I know it's technically also from the cutscene before you fight Regeay (Yaeger) before fighting Alexi, but the clip is also in the intro as well.

Same here. I ordered from HubbaGames yesterday afternoon and my copy shipped today. It should be here Wednesday.

This might be helpful to someone:
I can confirm that the NA (at least, the US version that I have) Tales of Vesperia *works* on a Japanese console. It also loads the japanese (well, asian) saves I have. success! :D

don't tell me what i should and should not have a problem with. it's not a huge deal like my initial overreaction made it seem like, but some people do not want such things spoiled for them.

i agree with you that i shouldn't come into official threads. at least until i've beaten the game.

got burned from Amazon on 2 new game releases last year(shipping 2 weeks after release)
anything in stock from Amazon is great, but pre-ordering games from them is worthless IMO.

Yeah, I ordered my CE on 8/20 and it shipped today, arriving on 9/2. Can't wait to play, but at least I have plenty to keep me busy. So many games, so little time.

Pro-tip: If you call Amazon and tell them the situation they'll waive your shipping fee. At least they did for me.:D
