Condit just got fucked.

Hendricks had 6 or so heavy shots, but outside of that got outstruck on the feet (numbers will be up tonight).

Hendricks took him down, but got beat on the ground.

Hendricks only won one round.

Condit ate too many shots on the feet in the first two rounds and didn't do much on the ground besides neutralize Hendricks until the final round. Seemed like a clear 2-1 to me. Disappointing finish but w/e

I don't know what fight GAF was watching. Hendricks won that fight plain and simply. If it was a five rounder, Condit would have won.

Those last 2 rounds Hendricks hit a million takedowns, but didn't do anything with them. Condit did way more damage on the ground. That's the issue.

Like I said though, I won't complain too loudly. It was a great fight and that's the way these are scored.

If you're on top, you win no matter what according to MMA judging.

Takedowns should win a fight if the takedowns lead to domination. Hendricks didn't, he took Condit down, then lost on the ground.

Yeah which is why I said Condit should have won. He literally did nothing on the ground. Condit did more damage and went for submission attempts.

Hendricks won the first two rounds but if this was a 5 round fight, Condit would have finished him by the 5th. But never mind that, I'll be thrilled to see Hendricks getting the next title shot.

Condit still got taken down. Doesn't matter if Hendricks did nothing with it, he still put Condit on the ground. Condit lost.

Condit only looked good on the ground in the 3rd, both the first 2 rounds Hendricks was active and hitting with punches on the ground and controlling. Besides the fact that it was pretty even on the feet in both the first 2 rounds, the number of takedowns and ground control is pretty clear in favor of Hendricks. Not sure why anyone would argue that decision.

People who watch enough UFC know that the fighter who gets taken down easily over and over is the guaranteed loser unless they score a knockout.

You can't win a fight if you can't stay on your feet. That pattern has held for years and should surprise nobody.

GSP wouldn't be able to take the same shots Carlos did tonight

Oh ya, I forgot GSP being knocked out once in his career to a punch in the back of the head means he has a shit chin.

Even though Hendricks got way more hurt against Condit than GSP did. GSP outstruck Condit on the feet, and when he took him down, punished him. Unlike Hendricks.

Hendricks has a punchers chance, I honestly feel Diaz is way more dangerous. Better on the ground, better on the feet, just no one punch power.

Feel bad for Condit but someone had to lose. GSP vs Hendricks will be great. GSP fan here but I wouldn't mind Hendricks knocking GSP the fuck out.

The point some of are making is that the scoring itself is an issue. What good is a takedown if no damage is done? It's simply wasting time in effect.

Well yeah.

This is changing. The judges are chosen by the comission they are fighting under. Dana White was on the Rogan podcast explaining how 99 percent of all judges know nothing about MMA, don't watch MMA, and honestly do not like the sport.

As more judges begin to understand MMA, the less fights like this will happen. Dana said he already anticipates a majority of commission judges to be replaced by those who understand MMA in the next 3-5 years in most states/areas.

It also has nothing to do with UFC. It's a trend in North American MMA due to shitty judges. In Japan, they never judged this way.

I did more damage than you did while you performed this move, but since you performed the move, you win. That makes no sense. This isn't gymnastics or a Taekwondo kicks demo...

Problem is GSP seems to be truly rattled when he takes a shot.

Exactly. How can you call Condit the winner when the man kept getting taken down time after time with no defense? Hendricks was all over him. If this was a 5 round match though, I'd think Condit would pull it out though.
