Calling leave voters plebs sounds arrogant as fuck. I mean, he makes a good point, though.

He said plebiscite which just means referendum.

People need to calm down. Even if Cameron has spent the entire weekend plotting with Johnson and Merkel to reverse the result he has to say this right now. He can't overturn a fair referendum within days of it happening - it would destroy the party and potentially lead to riots.

This is the long game right now - let the markets fuck the country, then step back from the edge. If he truly wanted this to happen he would have pulled the trigger on article 50 - and the leave campaign would be pushing for it asap as well.

I think you're right. They just want to accelerate the decline a bit, so then there is no doubt to the public that pursuing this will be disastrous.

It's not over until Article 50 is invoked, which they still don't plan to do anytime soon. That's pretty telling.

ive never watched an english debate before this is fascinating lmao.

It is but after a while you realise no-one answers each others questions and it turns into a slinging match 90% of the time, it sounds all prim and propper but its underbelly is quite seedy.

They can't. It still needs to be voted on.

Probably was best to buy a ton as quickly as possible as it'll be more expensive now. These imported goods, man.

They are going to vote, but not today.

Considering how close it was, imagine if there are a few swing votes.
It wouldn't take many...political suicide, but maybe one of these MPs grew a conscious and put forward the future instead of self.

this discussion is amazing. Not only because of the content but also because of the way how it is getting done. German parliament is a lot more boring compared to this lively debate.

Didn't he say:

plebiscite
ˈplɛbɪsʌɪt,-sɪt/
noun
the direct vote of all the members of an electorate on an important public question such as a change in the constitution.
synonyms: vote, referendum, ballot, poll

Intentional double meaning probably but still...

Definitely. No comments on Scotland independence referendum says something. It won't be necessary.
