How do you play this if you have the disc version of Season 1?

edit: 360

I apologize if this sounds snarky but probably the same way you play any DLC for any disc based game. Once you buy it, hit "Play" from the main menu (in-game) and select this episode.

Fuck, I've formatted the computer I played and finished season 1 on....I'm really hoping that TWD has Steam Cloud saves...

It does, I just checked mine and saw nothing was saved in the cloud though! Arrrgh! Lame. None of my choices will carry.

Shit already have so much other stuff to play. But for $5 and probably no longer than 2 hours I'm sure I can find time. Need more Walking Dead.

It will always be 5 bucks, no matter where or when you bought the Season 1

Is this episode part of the season 1 season pass or multipack?
No. 400 Days is DLC (downloadable content) for Season One and therefore requires an additional purchase to play. However, if you’d like to buy or if you have already purchased Walking Dead Season One from the Telltale Online Store, 400 Days is included as a thank you for your purchase.

I mean why respond to questions if you're not even going to read the FAQ??

Wait, we have to pay for it?

I mean that's fine, and I'll more than likely end up buying it anyway. I was just under the impression it was going to be a free update in order to tease Season 2.

Oh really? Laaaame.
Actually, after I posted that I checked, there are three interviews about the 400 Days episode. In one of them a guy says they were so happy about how it tied up, they didn't want to revisit it. On another one, a guy says 400 Days is unrelated but season 2 picks up after season 1, so who knows.

I am picking this up Day 1 (on PSN) despite only having played about 15 mins of the first episode. Can't wait to plow through S1 and this DLC sometime soon. If it is good enough, I will prob pick it up on iOS too.

Edit - Any word on Season 2 release date?

A season pass should give you access to the season. This is episode six of season one. It's not strange to see some people think it might be included with their passes.

Nope. from the faq:

400 Days is a brand new chapter in the world of The Walking Dead. Although the events of 400 Days take place in the same geographical region as Season 1, this is not Lee or Clem’s story.

The creators of 400 Days wanted to provide a different perspective on the world of The Walking Dead prior to Season 2 beginning later this year and provide interesting ‘connective tissue’ between the two seasons.

Doesn't sound like it at all. I will admit they list this as a "special episode" of season 1, but it's clear this isn't related to the previous events- it's definitely not "episode 6." A season pass got you the full story on Lee and Clem, and that's done. This is a bonus to transition to season 2.

Oh really? Laaaame.

eh? you want to see that little girl tortured some more? come on man, that story is done. it's said there aren't any "happy endings" with Walking Dead, but at least there's hope for one with the way episode 5 ended. Throwing that cast back into the shit again just feels wrong.

What it is in terms of story isn't the point. It is an episode of season one, you need the season one game to play it, it's the sixth episode in that game, it isn't stand alone. That's why it confused some people.

of course it is. the story IS the point.

it's an expansion to season 1, it's not 'episode 6.' episodes 1-5 are a complete experience, and that's what the season pass gets you.

And yet the season pass gets you all six on Vita. Spooky.

It is in the season one game, and it is the sixth episode, if it's 'episode 6' is purely semantic.

Exactly. People bought the Season Pass under the agreement of receiving episodes 1-5.

This is separate DLC.

Should those who bought the disc copy of Season One have the right to return their copies because they now have to pay for the 400 Days episode DLC if they so desire?

Not actually that important

I honestly enjoyed it a lot more on my iPad, with headphones, than on PC/Xbox.
No doubt I'll grab it on iOS. You shoul play it ASAP tho, it's really good (except Gary Whitta's Episode 4, which is still decent I guess).

Didn't get the memo regarding the 14th Amendment
Okay, so question - I'm thinking about getting the Walking Dead over PSN for PS3 (obviously). I know that TellTale games have bugs (believe you me, I experienced the Walking Dead save wipe glitch on PC and thus never finished the game) so I want to know: Are there any PS3 specific bugs for The Walking Dead? How does that version compare to the PC and 360 versions?

I never had any bug on the PC version, but from what I understand it was due to having the saves saving elsewhere than the good folder. Like instead of saving in the steam folder it would save in my documents.

The console version have glitches and bug too.
Seem like some of them are patched.
