27" Viewsonic N2750w, it's only 800 dollars and sounds really nice.
16:9, 1280x720, DVI, RGB, TV tuner, PIP

Nah. You could always use component cables. If you don't want to do that, just get an HDMI-to-DVI adapter to use with the PS3's HDMI-out. The DVI port on that set is HDCP compatible, so you should be alright with Blu-Ray copy protection, etc.blindrocket said:Do you think that the PS3 will point and laugh at its DVI input?

How do you usually hide the cables when you hang one on the wall? Or do most people just send them THROUGH the wall?
If I get that Viewsonic I'll probably just use a TV stand though, may be easier.
gunstarhero said:Going through the wall is usually easy enough - but if you're looking for an easier way - buy some wire molding, paint it the color of your wall and that will work as well - especially if you have a piece of furniture in front like a table or something. Thats what I did and it looks great.

Hey Gunstarhero -- I'm thinking about picking up that 40" XBR set. I was just out shopping this weekend.
I'm basically trying to decide between the Sony and the Samsung LN-R408D or LN-R409D. Did you look at those sets as well? They apparently have the same panel (from the Samsung/Sony JV factory) and are slightly cheaper. What made you go with the Sony?

The new DellTM W3201C 32" LCD HDTV delivers a wide aspect, high-definition resolution giving you life-like picture quality at an incredible price. It's a slim TV that allows you to enjoy HD content, DVD video or gaming. With a slim 8.21" depth - only 4.49" when the stand is removed - the W3201C is able to deliver a luxurious "27" X "15" viewing area to fill a bedroom or living room with vivid color. The W3201C also provides the option to connect to a PC to view pictures, or surf the web.
I saw that too. I'm interested in their reasoning/marketing of this one.

Just hung this on my wall over the weekend - Sony KDL-V40XBR1 (bravia)
No 1080p, but I'm not really bummed about that - native resolution is 720p, with the Display Resolution at 1366 x 768... which seems strange to me (shouldnt it be 1152x720 ...or something like that?? )
But i'm no way near complaining - this tv is simply awesome.Cant wait to play PD0 and DOA4 on it.

Gunstarhero,
I'm seriously considering buying this as an upgrade to my '93 Sony 27-inch XBR^2 set (which I still love). I would use it for next gen, but also as a replacement for my old set. Thus, my PS1/2 and GC games must look great on it. Have you tried any current-gen games yet? Is it comparable to CRT?
I appreciate the info.

I currently have my xbox and cube hooked up to it (all component) - DOA Ultimate and Fzero look incredible. Color are deep, blacks are black - and I haven't noticed any blurring when things are moving fast on screen. Didn't bother hooking my PS2 up though... I can only imagine what my 360 is going to look like.
Anyway - to answer your question - YES. I moved my xbox and cube from my basement CRT to my new Sony and cant tell the difference - it actually looks better imo.
Hope that helps - Let me know if you have any other questions
