In the gog downloader the will be a button with a magnifying glass in your witcher download. Press it and it will take you to the folder were the items are downloading. See i they have "ee" in their file names.

Apparently they fix the files on witcher 2 manual patcher site. According to GOG go here http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual and download patch file 01 and 02 and overwrite the files from autopatcher and it should work. I'm trying right now.

So I reinstalled my game to a fresh state. Is it confirmed whether or not if using the downloader from here will work?

This app does cyclic redundancy check on files. if you could run it on
TW2EE_Patch-1.bin (I get 601CB3F1)
and
TW2EE_Patch-35.bin (I get 24E513B2)
If you are suffering the installer file error download parts 1 and 2 from http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual and replace the ones you have previously downloaded.
Does this work?

that's what I did ...but it looks like we are going to have to get a gog account to get the ee version......u du the math!
Sounds about right, hopefully that's all the borked data.

Haha yeah, it looks like a lot of people are having trouble with the dl. I'll just wait a couple days before doing the patch.

pack0.dzip went though with no problems after I updated the two patch files, so I think the manual patch is fixed.
So if you downloaded the preload, open the launcher and it'll download the last 300mb of patch and proceed to patching. If the patch corrupts at pack0.dzip, download file part 1 and part 2 from here http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual to your preload folder, and run TW2EE_Patch.exe again.

When CDPRED says they've 'rewritten the rendering aspect of the engine and created new pipelines for the 360 version,' I wonder how extensive that really was. Maybe the lighting changes were a positive byproduct of that, and really couldn't be done on the PC without an equally extensive reworking--a bit costly for a free update, maybe.

Steam is currently downloading Witcher 2's additional content ... It's predownloading, right? Not like I could play once it finishes... right? :O right?!

It's playable (well ish, there are some bugs) right now.
same problem i have.
it's after midnight (17) in poland so it is probably full version not predownload. Enjoy game.
Run TW2EE_Patch.exe in your preload folder.
the tw2ee_patch.exe file should be in the same folder that you put the 1 and 2 files in. Just dbl click it.

Download file Part 0 into the same directory. That is the installer executable. Run that.

Nobody answered my question, so I had to look it up on the GOG forums. So to get the patch to work you just start the game, is this correct? But a lot of people are having problems with some of the pre-load files?
I'm going to wait until this gets sorted out. I really don't want to risk losing my saves.
