The Witcher 3 | Review Thread

Anyone have a completed Witcher 2 save file? I went Iorveth path and got pretty far into the game I think chapter 3 and then stuff happened and never completed it and I no longer have my save.

I have my Witcher 1 completed save(Order of the Flaming Rose) which I used in Witcher 2,so if anyone would be kind to point to me a place where I can acquire a Witcher 2 save I would appreciate it.

Alternatively, if you want it to play it yourself, I can provide a save in Iorveth path at either the beginning or nearer the end.

Didn't even ask about
Princess Adda?
Always wondered what happened to her after
Foltests murder
.

Assuming she survived Witcher 1, I'm pretty sure
she marries Radovid.

What are the exact questions for those who played the game already. post in spoilers tags if needed.

Fate of Aryan, who you went with of Iorveth and Roche, if you proritized saving Triss or lifting the curse off Saskia, if you let that sorceress at the end explode in the trap set by Letho, and if you let Letho live.

I wish I had the time, I currently un-Installed all my games and will just focus on Witcher 3 as I'm easily side-tracked.

I do have a question for many here, on the Iorveth path in Witcher 2,

Which of the following options is best in regards to Witcher 3
saving Saskia or Triss? I know saving Saskia will also save Triss as she is rescued by someone else, however will that dampen the relationship between Geralt and Triss in the Witcher 3?

Thanks.

If you're sure. I can set you up with one right at the finale,
having made preparations to help Saskia.

And having never actually
saved Triss
, I'll say that the negative consequences of
not saving Triss seemed much larger in scale. Triss doesn't seem to mind too much, she doesn't even seem angry if you killed letho, who just rescued her. It does, however, result in a massive witch hunt - most sorceresses and sorcerers at Loc Muinne are killed in one horrific fashion or another.

I played through TW2 before it had Steam Cloud support, but I think I remember what my decisions were.

Wow,thanks for the Info...now I have no idea who to save as both have pretty big repercussions, thanks for the offer however I found one on Nexus which has both saves.

This will be a tough decision I wonder which one will be the better option for Witcher 3,driving me crazy.

This is the PC manual, can find details on the save import there. Looks like it needs to be default folder.

Thanks for posting this. Upon perusal it seems like if you're using Steam Cloud Saves with Witcher 2 you'll actually have to relocate them to the original default directory (in your User/Documents/Witcher 2/gamesaves folder) in order to import. If you turn on cloud saves for Witcher 2 it stops saving them there and begins using a folder in your Steam/userdata/userid/appid/ folder instead, which the Witcher 3 manual doesn't mention looking in.

I asked in another thread, so sorry for repeating this question (perhaps no one knows?)

But does anyone know the specifics about playing on higher difficulties?

I know for one you can't get vitality (which is health I think) back when meditating. What else is there?

You can't get health back when meditating on which difficulty? This is an interesting change from the regenerating health of TW2.

Watched a few gameplay videos but outside of the resolution difference is there anything different between the Xbox One and PS4 versions? I can't seem to notice anything that stands out obviously.

Argh. No email from Gameseek saying it's been sent yet!

C'Mon guys. Don't let me down - the suspense is killing me.

Watching the streams this looks really good mind. The performance seems far better than what I was expecting from a game of such huge scope.

is there any word from people who complained about the ps4 fps issue? how much better exactly is it with the patch?

Would have to wait for DF to be sure, probably in a few days. I think they'll offer similar performance.

I can't remember all my choices. Is there a way to find out what I've done?

Can try loading up W2 and looking in the journal / quest log. About all I can think of, besides just looking up the choices and seeing if they jog your memory. If you played it only once you can also look at your achievements for the game if you played it on a platform with them, as 4 of the 5 choices have achievements related to them.

Achievements! I've rushed through Witcher 2 and completed it only once. They should refresh my memory :D Thanks.

Go into the game a re-load your last save file and finish off letho again.

The summary at the end of the game will tell you which choices you made, and if you can't remember just come here and ask what each of the different things that happen in the end mean and I'm sure someone would be willing to help.

I'd be happy to help if you want to PM me when you've done it :)
