Oh damn (Count Reuben's Treasure spoiler)
I let Triss get tortured and then she straight up killed Menge. That was unexpected, I was hoping to have an epic duel with him down the line. Is there another path to this or does he always bite it in this mission?

Top priority fix I want to see for the game now is chest storage. I'm hesitant on making another gear set because I don't want another 11-15lbs clogging up my inventory. Weight limit is much less severe in this game than others, the problem is those other games usually have some means of persistent storage.

Witcher 2 had storage chests added in, which is really all it takes to fix the encumbrance problem. I have absolutely no idea why it's not in the base game of W3. The least they could do is give us one chest in Novigrad, that's literally all I need.

Who knows, could be one of the exciting additions coming in their planned 16 freeLC weekly rollout plan! I wouldn't hold my breath though.

So I sent
Keira Metz
to
Kaer Morhen
.

I'm now doing the quest where I have to
free UMA from the curse, but Keira is not there...

Did something go wrong or will she turn up later?
.

Keira has nothing to do with the Quest, you have to complete the Lambert and Eskel quests and then talk to Yennefer.
Although I find it strange why Triss, Keira and Letho aren't there before the battle.

lvl 32 guarded treasure as lvl 18, like a boss. in my lvl 8 gryphon set too lol

cleared alot of ?s, got my full enhanced gryphon set (tier 2), good session. now sleep

oh the fact that some of the set items are NOT in marked locations is maddening, thank god for guides :p

That actually seems like a great idea. Still curious about combat though. Would you suggest casting it in a crowd then taking enough hits to heal some and dodging back after it breaks? Or can I take the hits then dodge back just before it would break?

You can certainly try. I never really played around with it. Just tried it for a bit fighting the guards in front of the store where you can buy the respec potion in Novigrad. I saw it doesn't really absorb a full blow by them (to be fair they were something like level 48) and promptly respecced out of that. I put most of my points in sword fighting, never fully utilizing signs or bombs. Next time I play the game (on Death March) I will try a more sign-oriented build. I think. I still love my sword and feline armor, so we'll see.

In my run
it was my who killed him, because at some point he attacked me. So yeah, I think he is supposed to die here, or you attack him, or he attacks you or Triss attacks.

Haha, well it is possible considering it was in the Witcher 2, and maybe they had to push it off as DLC because they couldn't finish it in time.

I was thinking the same yesterday. I suppose they will show, just later. Which is bollocks because I sent three persons to
Kaer Morhen way before than Yen
but whatever :p

What do you mean "marked locations"?

If you run for the exact icon location on the minimap for that upgrade diagram, you are doing it wrong. I find the search for that elusive chest amidst the rubble to be half the fun. Just wait until you have to find some later hidden chests.

I haven't touched a single guide for this game. It is too good to be spoiled like that.

Does anyone know how to make the Crow's Perch races appear? The note isn't on the board anymore and the quest isn't available to me.

How far am I? Around halfway in the main story?
Just finished Now or Never. I am level 17 or 18. Just made the trip to Skellige. Haven't done Phillipa or Dykstra's quest to take down Radovid yet.

I am having trouble with
Family Matters quest. I talked to baron once after I found the doll. I cant seem find whatever else I am suppose to find..

I have a question, if I'm doing grayed color quest, I'm not suppose to get XP out of it regardless of the bug?
it's a design choice by CDP right?

so has anyone spent considerable time with both the feline armor set and the ursine armor set?
I don't see the sense in griffin armor, it seems to be the "caster" armor because of sign intensity, however it's much more efficient to "skill" sign intensity with blue mutagens in the character skill sheet. and you need strong stamina regeneration for signs so in my opinion feline armor is the much more efficient "caster" armor and I am playing like that on blood&broken bones at level 22 at the moment and it's easy and fun, I burn away enemies while I shield myself.
I already collected all the recpies for superior and mastercrafted feline and ursine armor, so I am looking to try out ursine in the future, I really love the black mastercrafted feline set, but ursine looks just badass.

so question for people who played with both, am I right to assume that feline armor is more suited for sign heavy builds (meaning lots of blue skills) and ursine armor is more suited for melee heavy builds (meaning lots of red skills)?

there is also a game of thrones reference on one of the skellige islands
tyrion lannister in a sky cell, geralt even remarks "he should have been able to fly" why is brought up in the show/books, too

Fuck didn't know that, I just explored the map and gained XP out of the question marks without completing some of the quests that awaits.

It's pretty annoying, how can i plan this better? there can always be some new contract or any new surprising quest with a lower level that i couldn't predict getting, it's impossible to know it in advance.

At work while this is downloading as we speak. I've played 1 and 2 but haven't really kept up with the hype on this one. How much content are we talking here in comparison with other juggernauts like Skyrim and DA Inquisition? Are the side quests meatier than DAI? Is a lot of the content copy paste or varied?

Don't worry about it too much. It's only really punishing at all if you constantly do the quests drastically above your level first. If you're doing most things there will probably be some quests that fall through the cracks, so to speak. It's just meant to keep your level from rising too far above the content you're doing, even if you're doing EVERYTHING.

Haven't finished yet but it looks like Skyrim levels of content maybe more. Didn't play DAI but the overwhelming opinion is that sidequests here blow them away in terms of quality.

There are the so called points of interest which are monster nests, bandits camps, chests but you can turn it off on the map. The premise of Witcher contracts is repetitive but there is usually a bit of story, investigation needed to make them somewhat unique.

Wait, so some races become unavailable after certain plot developments and you need to complete these races for a certain trophy?

I really am not a fan of how many missable trophies are in this 200+ hour game.

Lol, thanks for this. Just did the Ekhidna contract and decided to give that a shot. She went down and I was able to just execute it. :lol
I stumbled across a siren contract in the Skellige isles while hunting for gear diagrams. Noticed I had some explosive crossbow bolts in my inventory.

That fight wasn't even remotely fair then, even though the mark was several levels above Geralt.

Around 150 hours of content, I think.

2/3 is unique, and much better written and executed that both Skyrim and DA:I. The other 1/3 are places you find in the map, like bandit hideouts, monster nests, treasure chests, caves and other stuff that is more or less copied and pasted, as they are just areas to clear of enemies, explore and take loot.

Hah, I equipped silver bolts but forgot I had my Dancing Star bomb in the active slot. Pressed RB and hit it with a bomb in mid-air. Took down half its health. :lol

I'm carrying 70/160. What are you carrying around with you that's causing you problems?

I would love to have a stash chest somewhere.

I have several pieces of gear that I know will get upgraded in the future and I would rather keep them than dismantle and recraft.

Disappointed that the succubus quest isn't as funny as the one in TW2 :(

It's funny just seeing them pause from the slow effect (I've got delusion up) even if the stun doesn't take effect lol.

I like how 2 of the places some of the main quests in Skellige takes place are acual names of places here in Norway.

Both Larvik and Lofoten are cities in northern Norway.

Lofoten is often seens as the "fish village".

why isn't the book merchant in my game? well, maybe he is, but he doesn't talk to me. i was in his shop. there is no icon on the map. i'm on ps4.

They are pretty much vikings without saying the v- word. Their chiefs are called jarls, they refer to Ragnarok (or Rag-na-rook, lol), their goodess is called Freya, etc.
