Are the question marks worth doing? I have accumulated a lot of them and did a handful last night and I got some XP and some items but sometime the mobs are out of my level range and it becomes a waste of time. Not sure if time investment is worth the return.

Not the end game.

Don't understand the hate with the swimming controls. Point with the camera stick and then go... Pretty straight forward.
I'm just finding it very counterintuitive compared to swimming in other games. A lot of those games you adjusted your up/down direction by the right analog stick and then used left to move. It's weird setting your depth by button pressing and then just moving level.

So some time ago I saw a short clip of
Geralt seemingly fighting a giant dragon on some sort of tower.
. I finished the game with nearly all contracts and got nothing resembling this. Is there a secret contract I missed? Maybe I was imagining things...

I just did that part and it is pretty damn great.

Sure it wasn't Ciri? Or The Witcher 2?

Sounds like the end of Witcher 2

the only thing that comes to mind is the tower with the drawn up bridge which can only be accessed from underwater, there is a wyvern on top and some griffin schematic there.

if its not that then it sounds like witcher 2

How important it is to build an armor set of the same type (Relic or Magic ect...), what do i get from such a set compared to mix parts?

So why are bandits in Novigrad attacking me without a reason? Just fought back and killed some. Are they supposed to attack me or did I something to piss them off?

Did it keep making noises even after it was dead? I had a similar experience lol.

I wish Ciri was real. :(

What are you talking about. She's over here, I'm trying to ask her about that weird world with megascope esque devices.

Apparently we will find out in approximately 52 years, Cyber something something.

But I understand the pain, this world is extremely immersive and I would definitely recommend reading the novels. A lot more Ciri content there.

Dammit, think I've locked myself out of a Triss sidequests.
Thought when I had the oppotunity to ask her to stay it might mean picking her over Yen, now I have a magic figurine and Geralt is all like, "oh , if only Triss was still here."

Just started Act 3.

I've definitely played for at least 100 hours at this point, and I've done all but 2 contracts. Still got about 60 ?'s in Skellige to do, though. I'll probably do those after I've finished this game. I've not even played Gwent yet.

This game is seriously something special. One of the greatest games I've ever played.

So I'm now in Kaer Morhen after 70 hours. Where do I
find the mattress Yen threw out the window? Isn't there a special item around it that promote more dialog with Triss and/or Yen
?

Edit: Found it.

It's a... let's say micro-quest. It's a single 20 seconds cutscene that's it.

I wish the level up system was better. Reminds me of old mmos where you get one talent point every level to level up boring shit like +5% damage, +5% armor and so on. Wish they only had meaningful perks.

damn..the game really gives you too much exp...ended up doing only at lv 22 the "carnal sins" quest that it's for lv 16..it did undermine the menace and enjoyment of the whole quest

I'm guessing this will either be tweaked over time or a big patch down the line, might change it for the better. Enhanced Edition or something.

Want to play a game of Gwent with
Thaler
, but I can't talk to the guy. He's there, at the Seven Cats Inn, and I've waited and even meditated for a few hours, but I cannot initiate dialogue with him. What's up?

[EDIT] - Uh, nevermind. Man, you have to get right up in his face to for the dialogue prompt.

It's one of the big (but few) flaws of a otherwise great game, the balance and difficulty.

I also was over-leveled because I did all the quests I could (why wouldn't I if the writing is so good?), that made me too OP and some monster contracts which should have been cool boss fights were just meh because the feeling of danger wasn't there anymore. And in the half point of the game I switched from Broken Bones to Deatch March. That only fixed the difficulty for ~10 hours, then it returned to too easy.
Including the
Ice giant fight quest
. So much good build up and I beat him easily :(

Just met
Lambert
in a side quest. Is he from the first game or from the books? He wasn't in Witcher 2 (at least not in the path I chose)

i dont think i will enjoy any other rpg after this guys, i just cant get enough and i will forever compare any other game in the same genre to the witcher 3

well other rpgs do shit completely differently though. Pillars of Eternity is completely different from Witcher 3, which is completely different from Fallout's exploration turn based emphasis and once again different to Dark Souls.

Open world heavy story driven dark fantasy action rpg? The closest I can think of is Final Fantasy XV and that won't come out for a while. And it's not even dark fantasy, but their styles are so edgy they cut out the light.

I'll probably finish off Pillars of Eternity soonish and then move on to Xenoblade Chronicles on 3DS.

I climbed that tower like a pro, but it's also possible to jump through the bridge. I managed to do it on the first try (then the damn Vyvern killed me before I remembered to save - could repeat that trick afterwards, had to climb those rocks.)
