also, getting my enhanced feline armor set and buying every diagram from the master herbalist left me with only 3k gold . i still cant find the damn enhanced thunder pot though
I seem to find some buckthorn under water everywhere

Haha, wut? I think she is super cute and super awesome and wish she was real, like actually existing irl.

maybe they didn't mean to spoiler tag it, but to tag it as "creepy" or something? ;)

oh so it;s underwater, i pick everything on my travels but i always avoid going under water if i can. thanks!

i knew right away that the only plant i could be missing would be the ones that grow underwater, because any other plant i pretty much have tons of due to zig-zagging to any destination closer than 200m hammering the (X) button.

Hey guys, just got the game a couple days back. I'm starting to amass quite a bit of stuff thanks to so much random looting. Is there a hard fast rule I should stick to like sell all black background items, dismantle blues/yellows, etc.? Since there seems to be so much in this game with regards to materials, I don't have a clue which is the best way to go about this.

Oh and regarding getting my vitality back, do all items essentially 'tick' for the same amount of health points, just some last longer (or shorter) than others? For example, does bread and water give the same per tick but water simply ticks for a longer period of time?

18 and still in Velen, finished all the main story missions there. Though I do seem to have a few important side quests remaining, but I'm ready to go to Skellige. Tired of running around the same places and dealing with the same people.

Looks like my game is broken on the Wandering in the Dark quest. Get through most of it and I get an infinite loading screen. I quit out and try again and get stuck at the same loading screen. Loaded an older save, make my way through the cave, and get stuck at the same loading screen. So I can't progress the main story. Any work around for this, or do I just hope that a future patch fixes it? Really frustrating...

Update on this in case anyone had the same issue...loaded a much earlier save and went through the quest without a hitch.

Tower of Mice

Damn, just finished this. Such a great quest. The Mage's notes about her issues and Anabelle's inconsistent statements made me chose the 'I'll come back later' option. I then tried to sneak out of the tower to speak to Graham first but she locked me in and attacked me. So I had to go fetch Graham, poor sod is dead. Good thing I didn't decide to take her bones, wonder where that would have lead.

Also, the game looks good overall but there are some moments that just happen which will stick with me for a long time I feel. Keira's quest line spoilers.
I walked out of her house into the evening with a lot of dust and dead leaves swirling around to see the creepy Pellar approach me.

Apologise for the offscreen Gif.

Damn, those Gwent cards from the first inn keep that I missed until this patch would have helped a lot at the start...can still use them all for my northern kingdoms deck and noticeably improve it.

Horse races are shit.
Not because they are hard, they are very easy really, but:

-Roach controls sucks so much
-if you take a turn on the road, 99% of the time Roach will totally stop
-sometimes there are people wandering ON THE TRACKS: during the last Skellige race I met a merchant travelling on the road, and my opponent run directly in front of him stoppig almost totally.

Who thought it was a good idea putting those races in the game? They are not funny, they are not hard, they are totally useless.

ummmmm...don't do them then

Well, you got to give CDPR kudos for putting in additional mini-games besides Gwent to keep things interesting. I haven't heard good things about fist-fighting though.

It makes me wonder if their decision to get rid of ice skating was justified, it could've been interesting.

Should have taken the bones :D I did that and it was awesome as well.

Some sorceresses could have children (Geralt's mother for example), but Yennifer's teacher insists on sterilizing her apprentices because in her mind no one should be born into magic.

Oh right, forgot about that. Thanks.

Also, (act 3)
goddamn at that 'Through Time and Space'-quest.

Should have taken the bones :D I did that and it was awesome as well.

It's outcomes are less awesome, though.
Unleashing the Pesta causes an outbreak of disease. How you end Keira's questline can actually change that.

So without any spoilers if possible....

About how many monsters are there in the game (types of enemies)?

Are there more zones past Novigrad / Velen and Skellige (aside from White Orchard obviously)? Like any more mini-zones you get to explore?

So with the patch I've been doing more quests and what not and I think I did have the exp bug before this because I was lvl 21 for ages doing quests and the like but doing a few side quests and contracts I'm almost 24.

Think I'm gonna do all the quests I have up to reccomended for lvl 24 then go back to Velen after the Skellege stuff.

Is the quest "A Deadly Plot" bug? I
cant not find Dijkstra at the Passiflora. Marquise Serenity does not move to the secret door when I talk to her :/

The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.
Dijkstra wont help me
against the wild hunt because I didnt get his money back... which I is true so fari enough I guess :/

This game is fantasgic but it's frustrating that it is such a simple game from a gameplay perspective. There is zero thought out to any interesting dungeon design, puzzles or anything outside the usual combat and story moments. For instance I was in a quest where I went into a cave with portals, here is a good opportunity to create an ear with multiple portals and needed to figure out which ones to activate in which order to get through, an actual puzzle. Instead everything is linear, the game tells you exactly what to touch what to do, there is zero thought involved.

This game could have been an all time masterpiece for me. Clearly it's a landmark game for storytelling but man the gameplay could have been something really special if they just tried.

Guys I have a question, especially to trophy hunters.

Anyone got the "Master Marksman" trophy?
Can you soften the enemy with sword attack and just finish with a crossbow headshot, or do you have to use crossbow only all the way and finish with a headshot?

I was using the first method and feel like I'm coming towards 100 headshots (only counting the ones with camera shake ofc) at this point, and the trophy doesn't pop. So I wonder if it's just bugged for me or do I have to use the second method which will be infinitely longer cause crossbows are shit? :-/

Appriciate any help.

Yeah I've had some issues with the races cos Roach is a total piece of shit. Even on clear paths he'll just randomly stop for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Garbage horse.

I've arrived in Novigrad and the interest I had in playing this game plummeted somewhat quick.

I don't care about Triss, don't care about Dandelion, this entire arc is falling so flat it's a struggle to get through.

It's tedious busywork for an hour or two, but the payoff is great. Novigrad is a bit flawed in general.

And you can go to Skellige if you're getting really bored - once you're level 12-13

I had the no XP bug doing 5 -10 quest with no XP, feels like I've been at lvl 20 forever. Today I started getting XP again, receiving 50xp feels like wining the lotto.

Side Note: whoever approved the swimming controls should be burned at the stake.

Man finally finished this, now I can get on with my life LOL. Almost all secondary quests done except the Qwent stuff which I have no interest in and two witcher contracts. Done at level 34.

Got a nice enough ending although I didn't care for the endgame itself. I didn't like the overarching plotline much to be honest, it's just too weird and messy. It's all about the smaller sidequests and self-contained stories for me.
