Leshens look so freaking cool

The Woodland Spirit contract though

It didn't unlock the achievement when I finished it. :( Only annoying glitch i had on my first playthrough.

I wish the level up system was better. Reminds me of old mmos where you get one talent point every level to level up boring shit like +5% damage, +5% armor and so on. Wish they only had meaningful perks.
What's worse is that the higher its tier, the less worth taking some of those perks become.
The first two rows are great, but after that? Not only do I not care about unlocking most of those skills, I can't really afford to get rid of the lower tier perks.

And at the end of the day you can only use 12 skills. Feels really constrained.

Did that quest yesterday, never talked to the older priest guy on how to solve it but it seemed like
the whole forest kind of died when I killed it. Is there another ending possible ?

Edit: ^Explained above. Maybe that's a better ending as mine was all kinds of shitty.
Just met
Lambert
in a side quest. Is he from the first game or from the books? He wasn't in Witcher 2 (at least not in the path I chose)

He was in the prologue of the first game but is also a character from the books.

Oh ok interesting. I hope they remaster the first game someday in the Witcher 3 engine. Would love to play it, but not sure I could go back to the old PC version

They'd have to remaster a lot more than just graphics to make it worth it. A lot of the fetch quest from one side of the map to the other game play is pretty dated.

Its a great game but if they didn't change the gameplay I could see a lot of fans of 2/3 thinking wtf.

Great. So the Cabaret side quest is glitched for me.
the rock that the key to polly's door is under doesn't show up in witcher sense so I can't examine it. Ugh

Thats lame.

It's incredibly lame. I mentioned this a few pages back but the idea that CDProjektRed sanction you for making your own decision in an RPG and in doing so create a missable trophy for mid-late game in a 200+ hour experience is stupid.

Is Alcahest the only type of alcohol Geralt can use to restock his consumables ? If yes, do the other types of alcohol have any use besides serving as ingredients for alchemy ?

It's one of the big (but few) flaws of a otherwise great game, the balance and difficulty.

I also was over-leveled because I did all the quests I could (why wouldn't I if the writing is so good?), that made me too OP and some monster contracts which should have been cool boss fights were just meh because the feeling of danger wasn't there anymore. And in the half point of the game I switched from Broken Bones to Deatch March. That only fixed the difficulty for ~10 hours, then it returned to too easy.
Including the
Ice giant fight quest
. So much good build up and I beat him easily :(
It would be really interesting if the NG+ rumors were real and enemies were higher level (maybe also quests gave less XP in NG+)

Geralt could be a badass from the very beginning, as could the monsters, but Geralt wouldn't grow in strength nearly as drastically

so i have a question

Im doing a 2nd playthrough, death march difficulty With different choices

spoiler below, which is my question too

If i choose to send Kiera Metz to Kahr Morehn, but have her keep the notes, will that make a difference? not sure keeping or taking away the notes would make a difference, just wondering.

I don't want to make the game any easier, but I think 4 skill per mutagen for 16 total would be more fun. Otherwise, I'd like to see how many points you need to advance in the trees decrease. There are a lot of 3 level skills in the signs tree, so you need to unlock more skills than you can even use while leveling.

Man, the side-quests in this game just keep on delivering. Currently doing the Possession side quest in Skellige and it's so freaking good!

So, I did the Carnal Sins quest and, against my better judgment,
I didn't question Nathaniel before killing him.
A couple hours later, I run into
another victim proving that he wasn't the killer.
I have a save that's just before the turning point, but I've done a lot since then. I'm considering reloading to
find the real killer
. I remember exactly which quests and locations I've done and found since then, but it'd probably take me about a hour or so to redo them.

I need someone to talk me out of (or into) doing that. :p

Patch 1.04 enlarged the text, right? It looks exactly the same. Do I need to change something because I see no option to do so.

Yeah compared to this shit main story going on right now the side quests are a dream come true.

Whomever thought it would be a clever idea to have you chase after Ciri for god knows how long like this needs their head examined. Shit is boring me to f'in tears. I'm now just racing around just trying to get it over with and onto something more interesting.

The whole Wild Hunt thing is very interesting. I'd like to get more into that please. Thanks!

Oh wow never thought that could happen. Yeah dude you want to reload that. Just to see what happens.

Not really worth it but in general going wild gorilla man when you could wring info out of someone is a bad idea.

i just finished this one. it was good. i just wish there would be new gameplay once in a while. i've been doing the same shit for hours.

Is there any way to kind of remove the fog that hides details in the distance? I kinda wish there was some ini to tweak that. Hoping CDPR releasing modtools will fix that.

I am really annoyed of how the game seems to be locking you out of properly deciding your romance.

I havent gotten to Skelige yet. So i havent checked out Yennefer as a character to decide if i want to romance her or not.

But i have completed Triss's questline only to find myself that I have to decide in 10 secs if i want her to be my romance choice or not...

I find this very stupid. Is there a way to make triss stay in
Novigrad
and yet leave the door open to decide in a later part of the game (after getting to know Yennefer) who i prefer to romance and who i dont?

The game really punishes you way more than it should in some options....

Please help.

Unless you came into Witcher 3 in love with Triss, I think Yen is the right choice. Some would call it the canon choice. You could always pick Triss next time.
