The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt |OT2| Wanted to find Ciri, but everything Gwent wrong

I got like 35,000 crowns just sittin' there in my pouch, stankin', and I'm still in Act 1. Don't think you need gold bonuses. :p

I second that. Gold is very easy to come by during Act One once you get to velen. I've been rocking witcher wear all game and sell most of the weapons and armor that I come across. The best trophies in my opinion would be extra XP and dismemberment buff.

Pelts also fetch a decent price and I've never had to the need to dismantle them for crafting items while crafting new gear and weapons.

So, i really wanted to platinum this game but just realized i fucked that up because i killed
keira
like 60 hours ago. Fucking annoying they put a trophy so easily missable in a 200 hour game. I might to quit the game altogether now. Love my trophies.

Not very far into the game, just did the Towerful of Mice quest.
Did anyone notice the rope in Graham's house? Really liked that.

Is anyone else aware that quest items respawn in merchant inventories? I have a shitload of treasure maps and quest items stuck in my quest tab after buying these items again (sometimes you just forget you did those quests or read those treasure maps).

Annoying ass bug for my gaming OCD.

The quest design in this game is just unmatched. I've been playing RPGs since the mid 90s and I don't think I can name another game out there that does sidequests as well as Witcher 3. For all of the game's jank, the quests really shine through and are making this one of the more enjoyable games I've ever played.

Indeed. If RPG's in the future which makes claim to be story-driven or possess a good narrative doesn't follow or at least try to aim for the quality of the writing in this game than it's going to be a shame.

Beat the Griffon and now preparing to meet with
Duny (I just want to call him that)
. Tried getting out of the situation right before in a non-violent ways before I realized there wasn't one.

Doing the import questions now and a tad unsure on what to do with some. I know I'm going for:
Save Aryan
Side with Roche
Not kill Letho

But no clue what the best option would be for
Triss or Anais as well as Sile's fate. I know Triss gets rescued anyway so she should be fine and while Sile probably deserved it it didn't sit right that she be left there to die

What effect overall do these choices have with quest and such?

battle of
kaer morhen
quest question

is it possible to make the battle happen without even mentioning the whole thing to the emperor?

Huh. So I've been playing for around 40 hours and imported my Witcher 2 save. I thought I had gotten that goofy tattoo in TW2 but when I imported into TW3 it wasn't present.

So I recently had Geralt trim his beard and out of no where, he has that silly tattoo from TW2 again.

Little Red side quest :
Did you fight Little Red or let her kill Bertram ? Finally she's just a werewolf who wanted to live, strange we know that after we kill her.

Little Red quest spoilers ahoy
I fought Little Red after hearing her side of the story. Figured telling her to leave peacefully was a reasonable enough olive branch, and felt no guilt fighting after, since she started it and was a bandit after all. Was expecting there to be a chance to tell the village what Bertram did so he wouldn't get away clean, and was really disappointed when there wasn't. Seemed like one of the more poorly written quests.

Game just crashed on me as it was transitioning from a cutscene, to what I'm sure was another Ciri flashback; this was during Echoes of the Past.

Hopefully it only happened because I played so much today.

Also, Yennefer's kinda growing on me.

That cut scene lighting mod seems to have broken one of the weather conditions for me (WT_Mid_Clouds_Dark)

Here is a screenshot comparison from the exact same position. I basically just loaded a save file, hid the HUD, and took a screenshot.

Looks like that weather is no longer working properly.

Here's another comparison.

The differences are minor. In vanilla, the shadows are kinda blueish. Look at Geralt's hair.

The added ssao on foliage seems to shine a spotlight on the fact that grass is basically a bunch of small sprite clumps.

Game has CTDed a lot more now that I'm nearing the end. Well at least I'm almost done

Just came in to say this game is fucking amazing. It's the first true RPG I've ever played (Bloodbone being the first, but I considered that more of an action game) and I can't believe how much I love it. Already in my top 5 of all time.

I'm already tempted to start another play through on Death March and go for 100%.

I would have done it on my first play through but I missed some gwent cards in a quest and I kinda just gave up after I learnt that.

Oh boy you're for a treat then, that is if you dont mind playing older games. Witcher 3 is a fine RPG, but nowhere near actual 'true' rpgs.

why do these people give me their legendary heirloom swords. theyre all useless.

Lol. Agreed. I was all psyched when I was about to collect my sword from the
Of Sword and Dumplings
quest. Hattori claims I'll craft you a sword that can kill a god. Finally get the sword...wtf is this crap!? More like a back scratcher compared to my witcher blade. Immediately sold it back to him with no shame. Thanks for the free money, brah!

What do you recommend? I should also mention that part of the reason I've never been able to get into RPGs is mostly because of the controls. I can't get past clunky combat. Witcher 3 is not perfect in this sense but it just enough to allow me to enjoy everything else the game has to offer, which as I stated, is incredible. I think RPGs are finally starting to take this aspect seriously. Bloodborne felt amazing to play and this feels pretty nice, even tho it can be clunky.

I just fought and defeated
the king of the wild hunt
guy, in the quest you do with Keira Metz. It was a breeze, I thought he'd be tough but I managed it quite easily on the second hardest difficulty level. I'm level 9-10 ( can't remember exactly)

Was this the same with you guys? He looked real tough in the cutscenes. Maybe because I was over the required level to complete the quest.

Was out of town for a week and just finally got a chance to boot up the game again. Geralt no longer controls like a maniac! This is a massive improvement.

Unfortunately, I'm now getting bad performance and a lot of weird stuttering that I wasn't before. Hopefully updating my Nvidia drivers will remedy this.
