The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt |OT2| Wanted to find Ciri, but everything Gwent wrong

So I went around doing pretty much everything I could in Velen/Novigrad in terms of side quests before moving on to Skellige.

It's clear now that you're suppose to kinda go back and forth between Novigrad and Skellige.

Managed to be level 20 when doing the first main Skellige quest (Which is a level 16 quest). Currently over leveled for the main quest and I have a feeling I'm going to be over leveled for a lot of the side quests in Skellige, at least at the start.

It's also very awkward
that I've already declared my love to Triss and Geralt is flirting with Yen during cutscenes when I'm not in control.

EDIT: New Page, here's a picture of Triss just because.

I still can't believe how amazing this game looks on 4K downsampling. Combine the CG quality graphics with a mass open world and it is pretty much the only game I have played so far that truly feels next-gen (current-gen?).

Also how are you guys taking screenshots? What program do you use?

Finally finished up this bad boy at level 36. One of the best games I've ever played. I still have some treasure to get in Skellige if I choose. Really wish there was a new game +

Yeah it's a bit awkward in the context of the game.

MSI Afterburner or Fraps, but I personally use MSI.
You can use custom key to take screenshots, the ~ for example. It's accessible as it's close to your left fingers. As I'm using a gamepad, I set the ~ to my right analog click button via antimicro, I rarely use it.

Okay so I just started playing this today on the PS4..

One: has anyone experienced sound problems (like studdering in the sound)? At the beginning. I wanted to make sure that it was my headphones and not the game. Once I reset my headset it stopped but wanted to make sure it was my headphones.

Two: I know they fixed a lot of slow down in framerate during certain scenes at the beginning ? I thought they fixed this on the last patch.

Three: I am still having quite a bit of pop ins and things not rendering as the should. More noticeable was when I first went thru the marsh land in the first area (
when I talked to the guy about the Griffin in the first hunt
), all I saw was black water. Until I started killing enemies and then it went to the awesomeness that the water was

Prepare for A LOT more slowdowns, the framerate sucks in the PS4 version thats why i stopped playing... and the patches havent fix the framerate

After several hours into the game, I have only one complaint:

The combat is really dull and boring.

Signs are seldom used and seldom interesting. The weapons are dull. The combat is herky-jerky. I wish we had more variety in weapons.

I love the story and the dialogue and the scope, but the combat may be the game's weakest point. I also wish there were more sneaking options. Every battle starts with me either shooting with the Xbow or just walking into range of someone until they start cursing or shooting at me.

I wish I could just sneak up on someone and kill them silently.

But, yea, combat isn't that much fun to me.

Well that's kind of on you. Signs make the combat a lot easier/quicker/entertaining. Axii pretty much lets me one shot everything since it greatly increases the chance to dismember. By far the most overpowered/fun thing to do.

signs are seldom used because you're choosing to use them sparingly. I used igni, quen and yrden fairly fucking often in fights. Especially their super saiyan modes.

It was a mistake having your default stamina regen so low. Especially with the negative difficulty curve you aim to have quen up a lot in the beginning and more often than not you lose it before stamina refills and you gotta recast.

It's night and day after putting some points into the signs tree with light armor. After about level 15 I could cast every few seconds.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
What's the highest character level you can reach?

There is no level cap, apparently. That being said I assume max level will depend on what difficult you play on, as XP distribution / required XP per level is different.

On Blood & Broken Bones I hit level 35 - 36 doing basically everything.

wtf seems like I got stuck with an almost first person view and Geralt's head is right in the way. I can't get the camera to back up. X1

Have you seen Quen?

It only does bloody everything.
Heal, block, damage, and stagger.

Happened to me a few times but only recently.

Saved, quit game, reload/continue save.
Should work.

Sooo. Without spoiling what happens, I just spoke to the spirit in the Whispering Hillock quest. Is there anymore evidence to find to sway my decision before making it? Or am I to just go on my gut based on the conversation?

Nope, pretty much a gut decision. Possibly the hardest in the game. Well...okay, there is a book that some other helpful people might point out...

go with your gut but prior to this mission I had already done another that showed me that my Bioware-morality instincts don't work in the Witcher.

Finished it. Happy with how it turned out, except for the final twist.
I really didn't like how they pulled
Global Cooling the Enemy All Along!
at the last moment and expect me to just swallow it.

And before I could digest and give me a chance to react in-game, they decided to
fast forward through it. At least Ciri became Empress after one, long, telegraphed chat while walking through snowfields.

That the blue/top right answer is the good and the red/bottom right answer is the bad?

Oh if the individual that is talking to me can show an innocent side it automatically means they aren't a bad guy and I should be nice

You didn't do anything wrong. The contract was to remove disturbance. You simply 'relocated' it elsewhere. :)

Dang encountered a level 46 Archgriffin on some shitheel island in Skellige. Its own archigriffin decoction made quick work of that thing (shit's OP).

Well, the patch just came out on Friday for PC/PS4. Sony just push it straight through while MS seems to be doing the usual certification pass, so I wouldn't expect it until Thursday/Friday.

Gwent really needs a stand alone multiplayer based game to highlight its strengths that are lost in the confines of a single player adventure. CDPR would be silly not to make one.
The game needs a few more balance passes. Like worthless 1-4 strength cards with no features. Or they have to add different formats to accommodate them.

So much content in this game, crazy.

Although i am starting to get tired of the mountain areas and the slip and slide antics.

Hope act two isn't as big as act 1, because Jesus, gonna take me a while to get through this.

I suppose I do have to echo the one gripe I have with the game is the combat. I mean, it is fun in its own way. But I can't help but feel there could have been ways to improve the combat techniques so it wasn't so "hack-and-slash".

But then again, they've put so much into the game I can't imagine how they'd have implemented something more complex.

Quick question about allies for a certain big battle
will there be a problem between Roche, Ves, and Letho at the Battle of Kaer Morhen? I don't want want any of them to leave but Roche and Ves seem upset that Letho is there. Anything I should do?

They didn't like eachother but all stuck around for the whole fight in my game, don't think there was any interaction between them during the battle either.
