The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt |OT2| Wanted to find Ciri, but everything Gwent wrong

Was out of town for a week and just finally got a chance to boot up the game again. Geralt no longer controls like a maniac! This is a massive improvement.

Unfortunately, I'm now getting bad performance and a lot of weird stuttering that I wasn't before. Hopefully updating my Nvidia drivers will remedy this.

Nvidia should have witcher 3 optimised drivers out if you haven't update already.

Oh man, the Undvik side quest in Skellige is dripping atmosphere. The music, the visual cues, the sound effects... I want to marry this game!

I just fought and defeated
the king of the wild hunt
guy, in the quest you do with Keira Metz. It was a breeze, I thought he'd be tough but I managed it quite easily on the second hardest difficulty level. I'm level 9-10 ( can't remember exactly)

Was this the same with you guys? He looked real tough in the cutscenes. Maybe because I was over the required level to complete the quest.

Yeah, he was pretty easy. I fought him being extra careful, but the fight wasn't that bad.

Okay so I just started playing this today on the PS4..

One: has anyone experienced sound problems (like studdering in the sound)? At the beginning. I wanted to make sure that it was my headphones and not the game. Once I reset my headset it stopped but wanted to make sure it was my headphones.

Two: I know they fixed a lot of slow down in framerate during certain scenes at the beginning ? I thought they fixed this on the last patch.

Three: I am still having quite a bit of pop ins and things not rendering as the should. More noticeable was when I first went thru the marsh land in the first area (
when I talked to the guy about the Griffin in the first hunt
), all I saw was black water. Until I started killing enemies and then it went to the awesomeness that the water was

Just made I
mrelith
my bitch, easy fight once you figure out his attacks. Geralt looked like an idiot rolling nonstop in that fight.

Goddamn that Nilfgaardian Nobleman is kicking my ass at Gwent. I just can't figure out a way to get around him and am worried if I leave he'll disappear.

Applesauce

Boom! Bitch-slapped!
Indoor combat sections can fuck right on off, camera is more broke than I was in my early 20's, fuck that shit with a rusty pitchfork.

The
fight you have to do in a Novigrad pub is the worst. The camera fucks up big time and you can't even see when the guy punches.

I went from being clean shaven to magically sprouting a beard when I sat down next to Lambert

That quest was awesome. Essentially the entire isle is devoted to it.

The Spikeroog quest was great as well.

Definitely one of the more rage inducing bugs in this game for me, slightly ahead of my idiot horse.

I know there's some form of level scaling, but does that apply to blueprints like the Griffon or Bear School equipment? I ask because I just got the first one out of the Griffon School and it's for level 7 while I'm currently level 3.

Does anyone else think the follow system in the game is extremely janky? Like they follow the rate that you move at rather than the other way around.

Finished up. 88 hours, 3 minutes, all told. Pretty much did everything, save for a few loose ends and not going after the gwent cards at all. Pretty pleased with the ending I got due to the choices I've made throughout all 3 games over the last couple of years. It's been quite a ride.

I like it since it allows you to walk with them, or if you just want to get to the destination start sprinting and they'll do the same.

Loving the GWENT. It was nice of them to include that free sidegame where you RPG as a witcher to compliment the time between gwent games

CDprojecktRED is sitting on millions with gwent. Make it an iOS/android game, add purchasable card packs and the ability to play friends.... they could change their name to CDprojeckt BREAD they'd have so much cash

Finally picked it up today, only manage to get 3 hours deep but my god, everything about this game is great. It feels like everywhere you look in the game is some sort of beautiful vista with a crazy skybox and trees blowing in the wind. I've never felt so immersed in a setting, and even the side quests have been tons of fun. Can't wait to play it more.

To those who have played with heavy armor, how badly does it affect stamina and movement (e.g. rolling)? I'm thinking of trying it out for my next playthrough.

You can come back later. Going against him early on was a (very) humbling experience for me lol.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
Gwent is a lot of fun until you get good cards. Then its just way too easy that its no longer fun.

Gwent really needs a stand alone multiplayer based game to highlight its strengths that are lost in the confines of a single player adventure. CDPR would be silly not to make one.

Woo, just finished. Got the "good" ending vs "best," but, after a quick read up on the other endings I'm very happy with mine. Damn they did a good job with character interaction in this game.
