First this guy

Yeah, when I talked to that guy I was glad they had announced the expansions ahead of time.

The Quen is just
so the door can't be opened by the possessed dude. There's a dramatic close up of it thwarting his attempts to open the door a split second after Geralt casts it. If Geralt didn't feel guilt/anxiety over the death of the child then the plan wouldn't work.

The spell functions both ways. He'd still feel guilty since Geralt didn't trust Cerys to begin with

Why are they taking so long with the expansions, though? I know it's not news, but damn, the second one is just slated for "2016", isn't it? It might even be close to a year after release if there are delays...

Lambert didn't die for me, and i killed Keira so she wasn't there. I'm confused.
I had a scene where Lambert was pinned on the ground with like 5 Hunt warriors about to finish him off when Keira dropped some magic on them and saved him.

It's supposed to be a hidden treasure chest, I have it completed, but yeah, now I can't see it in my game.
Was it in the water? Cause the water isn't very deep in that lake and I already dove into it to look around. I also dropped down to the north side thinking there was a cave entrance I missed and that it was under me, but I don't see anything.

What happens to the people from Lord of Undvik quest? I heard they join up as well.
They do but they don't get any specific scenes (and neither does Hjalmar).

There's supposed to be a boat, a few drowners and some corpses like two pixels off the screen to the right. On the boat is a sack with a key and letter, key leads to a chest on the sunken boat in that same lake.

Yeah, all those you found and survived will join.

In my case the lune and the archer along with Hjalmar.

Same for me.
The lune is kind of hard to keep alive. Get too close to the giant he shouts out waking the giant or step on ice and the giant wakes. Accidently get your sword out ot cast a sign amd he shouts out as well. In all cases he dies.

This game must have been made by crazy people. There is no need for this game to be as big as it is but they did it anyway. Just played (late game mission)
through time and space
, and the amount of work that must have gone into some of those tiny segments is just wtf.

Man, I really can't get over how god damn awful the narrator guy is (old Dandelion). Did nobody listen to the recordings before putting them into the game? He sounds so bored and uninterested, it's like they got the G-man to do it.

No such scene happens if you don't have Keira. Lambert is just never in trouble. I think maybe it's just an add in to make Keira look useful, if she's there. I didn't have Letho either.

Almost completed the game, and I didn't see
some Pre E3 trailer scenes, like Geralt going into Vizima's palace with soldiers on both sides, or several witchers killing monsters, or the female elf from a screenshot I saw posted here too.
Did CDPR cut out those contents entirely?
A little vague there, man. I mean, there are obviously female elves in the game. Link the actual video.

Just disable those useless things if you're on PC. All they do is make loading take longer and it's just weird that Dandelion has a completely different voice actor in them.

Second playthrough and I nuked that fucker with a mod. Actually get to see a loading tip now.

If you choose to release him from the cage, he lives.

That reminds me, one thing I did not expect is that the loading screen tips can be moderately useful!

Often in Witcher 3 you'll read the kinds of tips that you might not otherwise figure out 10+ hours into the game.

In most games the game just repeats parts of early game tutorial.

I would still have had no clue whatsoever that you can fast travel via boat if it wasn't for the loading screens (because I accidently clicked off that tutorial message), so for me they're amazing just for that tidbit. I would've wasted so many hours looting caches in Skellige otherwise...

Female elf is definitely in the game, she's the leader of Scoia'tel band you meet during one of the witcher contracts, I don't remember the name tho. The scene with witchers fighting together was probably repurposed as one of the cutscenes in Kaer Morhen battle, I remember there was a similar one with Geralt and Lambert there.

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.

How do I do this?

Haha, yea the tips have been a good help, like the guys above have just found out the ship fast travel is really useful later on.

My favourite has been 'in the time of Winter (I think?) do not eat the yellow snow', still dont know what that means lol.

"When the White Frost comes, do not eat the yellow snow."

You really don't know what it means?

Not completed the game yet so I haven't seen if it makes this clear, but I'm pretty certain that's the same actor putting on a voice to sound older. Dandelion telling the story as an older man.

There's definitely some world state bugs in this game. I 100% let Sile explode at the end of Witcher 2, but her character entry talks about things that happened as if I saved her, and looking it up, yeah I definitely did not encounter her where it says I did. So the character entry thinks she lived at the end of 2, but in-game events didn't play out that way. Weird.

I'm at the
crash site with Yen
, how far along am I? I'm about ready to drop this game because I burnt myself on the numerous yet cool side quest. The combat is boring me to tears at this point though.

That yellow snow bit BTW is a throwback to the old Ace Ventura game, the first (iirc) game translated to Polish and distributed in Poland by CD Projekt.

It's just me or there's something weird about how shadows casting works?

When outside shadows seem properly casted according to the sun position. Also, every moving object can receive and cast its shadow over the others without any apparent limitation. Sweet.
Once in a interior shadows start to behave in a strange way. They seem to depend from the player point of view instead of the light source. It's like the engine is 'cheating'. Plus: compenetrations and glitches all over the place
Not a deal breaker for me or something I cannot unsee: moving seamsless inside an house, watching how it could change during different times of the day with a wide array of colors 'temperatures' and enjoying vistas through windows it's amazing and huge step forward TW2. It's just technical pour parler.

When are the developers going to fix that dumb glitch that
spawns Wraiths instead of Letho
in the Reardon family side quest? Also, We still can't craft duplicate mutagens too unless we drop them.

Oh my fudge!!!

Ugh, ladies of the wood. With Ciri and Geralt. Nightmare fuel. Horrible nightmare fuel that cutscenes is

I LOVE this game. Damn.

I just finished the Bloody Baron storyline and already feel like I got my money's worth with this game...and I'm imagining I'm pretty much nowhere into the game yet.

The expansion announcement pegged the second one for 1Q 2016.

For the first I suspect
it was intended to be the initial meeting until CDPR realized that, while it was more dramatic, it doesn't make sense for the Emperor to be having that kind of conversation in public with all of those people present so they moved it to his office.

*reads note detailing a story about a higher vampire saving a person from a burning building, with the vampire being completely unaffected by the fire, seemingly immune to it*

*checks new bestiary entry and sees Igni as one of this creature's vulnerabilities*
