Well, there is a chance that he still got it. So better go now and look if it's still there.Älg;165333279 said:So I just read that you should keep your Wither Gear that you get in the begining of the game, because you can use that to upgrade later. I sold all my gear as soon as I got something better, so is there any way to get it back? Does the merchant still have it?
Also, is there any way to know what gear can be upgraded later? It's not like you can carry around every piece of armor that you find.

The merchant that you sold it to should still have it.
I am not that far in to the game (lvl 14, ~36 hours in) but I have not come across anything that confirms that the original gear is upgradable.

Holy shit holding the start button (using a pad) on PC (probably xbone too?) brings you straight to the map. 57 hours in and I must've missed it when they said. this is big for me!

Can you attack the drowners when they are in the water? I'm trying to find a treasure in a sunken ship and these little shits are starting to piss me off.
Can't believe how addicting this game is. I'm working on a deadline on a yearly report on my cancerregistry but all i can think of is Witcher 3. I'll blame CD project if i'll get fired, lol.

It is, I did upgrade it.
They do, for 3x what you sold it for. lolAnd that merchant will gladly sell it back to you for 3x the price you sold it for. A bit surprised that the merchants don't have a buyback option.
Really? I got my bolts unequipped automatically as soon as I got in the water. Gonna try again. Thanksyes with crossbow
Ugh, there the game goes making me feel bad again
Main quest in Novigrad, torture related
Oh my god they pulled out Triss's fingernails I was trying to roll with that guy and was listening to the torture in the other room. Fight broke out anyway when I asked about the money. I'm tempted to just reload and clean house without trying to talk to him because oh my god fingernails I also hope she doesn't take offense to the fact that I let that happen, haha
the exact same thing happened to me too (can't jump)So uh..protip. Don't try going on this ship, pretty sure I'm trapped:
Wait, what? This is a thing?
You, sir, are my hero. Now if only there was a way to quickly access inventory and meditation and my main minor annoyances would be gone.
Is it possible to break the main quest line, or miss out on main quest missions if you do the quests in a different order?.
The reason I ask is, because I appear to be doing the main story line in a very different way from every walk though I've had a peak at.
Or doesn't it matter?, you can safely do anything in any order and not miss anything?
There's a different conclusion if you go with the plan entirely (and not ask about the loot). Triss is cool like that, it was her idea. She can take a beating.
Hold the touchpad for quik acces to inventory.

Do character upgrade points do anything if I don't slot them in on the right side of the screen?

Huzzah!
Anyway to utilise the touchpad for DS4windows on PC? My touchpad is just used a mouse cursor/alt camera. Haven't messed with DS4windows so not really sure how it works.
Do we know where the quest can be found yet?Steam just downloaded a Contract DLC. Yeeee
"Alternative look for Yennifer" is also out.
Guys please help me out here cause I am really about to pop a blood vessel or somethin...
is there a damn way to rearrange the order of your inventory?
I cannot believe that in order to use a cat potion I have to scroll down through 23452 books and notes...
Why didnt they at least put the potions on the top of the page like they did with oils?
I am seriously giving too much importance on such trivial matters, I know, still... help me out here...

No there isnt. I eventually ended up selling ALL of my old books and notes to a single vendor (the same guy that buys trophies off you at full value), at least if I need any of them back I know where he is...
