Glowing red tunes down the blade? What sword is that?!
that's a sword you get from a quest super early on - it's a steel blade though so not sure why he's using it against those monsters...

That's what happens when you insert glyphs into your blade socket
Just started this, amazing.
Is there a site for character skill builds? Nervous about spending ability points and want to know some good bang for the bucks
*was wondering - does anyone know where to find / how to unlock a mastercraft armorer now? i've looted some great recipes but haven't found the quote/unquote "mastercraft" armorer yet.

Liked this part especially, about why he called the review poisonous:

Interesting. I've only skimmed everything so I can't make a judgement on it. Maybe it's worth a new thread?Adrian Chmielarz addresses criticism of his criticism of Polygon's review:

judging from my play time I would say its off about 1 day and 8 hours. just from me though.
I felt this way too, but the more I think about the triangle, the more I sympathize with Yen. If I were in her shoes, I'd be cold and standoffish too. From my interactions so far I must say I much prefer Triss to Yen. Great character so far. Yen seems really unlikeable but to be fair I only saw her during the intro.

I just finished painting this, dunno what to do with it so leaving it here in case someone wants to look at it, or something.
#TeamYen
She's very bossy and rude to Geralt all the time. She gets on my nerves, honestly.

Hilarious coming from a womanKeira mentions she treats geralt like a dog. Felt rather accurate to me!
I like that about Yen. Never played TW1/2 and just from playing this game i didn't find Triss nearly as interesting a character.
I agree. But I did find her character to have a lot more depth than Yen.Hilarious coming from a womanwho sends you on errands, manipulates you, tries to trick you, steal stuff and run off.
I think Glyphs are for armor and Runestones for weapons.
I can see that I guess. I was almost going to go with Triss, but I really began to sympathize with Yen and the storyline with her is really great.I agree. But I did find her character to have a lot more depth than Yen.
I'M still in act 1 with that playtime.....
They're doing both... One of the expansions is an entirely new region, which is awesome, and the other takes place in Oxenfurt, which is lame and explains why that city has like zero content in the base game.[/B]
They are doing exactly that.

In regards to Yennefer, at face value she can seem like a bitch which is why she has that kind of reputation. She doesn't explain her feelings to just anyone so it may seem like she's just selfish, but she will do absolutely anything for people she considers her family. The books really do her justice and the growth of her character by the end is pretty damn good. She's in stark contrast to the overly bubbly sorceresses that seem perfect but are in no way loyal and will use you. Even Triss has her bullshit moments in the books so no one is without some sort of bad things that everyone will disagree (or even agree) with. But hey, that's the beauty of it. Most if not all characters are really good in their own way and there's always depth there.
TW3 did a great job of taking more content from the books and making it feel like a real sequel. I'm very impressed with it so far and I haven't even finished it yet after putting about a week into it. Very worth the wait.
The dwarf in crow's nest gave me a quest to find some tools on Skellige. He has promised to craft great armor with that.
I don't know if he's the only one though.

I bet both come with content added to the rest of the world, though, like some new POIs, witcher contracts and minor side quests. Seems like something CDPR would do.
They generally have many brick jokes in the game. Love how the implemented memes and random references to other pop culture just like that. It really feels like the people had fun with what they did.Haha, just stumbled upon a quest where a mage is imprisoned in a tower by a Defensive Regulatory Magicon (). And how can it be deactivated? Why by using Gottfried's Omni-opening Grimoire (DRM), of course. SubtleGOG
You could reload and Axii him during the dialugue. Why even bother fighting that drunk racistI'm in a fist fight with the arsonist from like the first side quest and he is kicking my ass. What am I missing? I can't block because I can't wield my word in the fight and he is blocking like every punch.

Yes, those two recipes seem to be bugged. Afaik, the solution is to first destroy/drop the base version of the bomb, then craft the base bomb and the enhanced bomb in one go without leaving the alchemy screen
I think it's really clever just how the game gives you these quests.Just finished The Tower of Mice. Wow. How the hell are these "side" quests?!
This game...
And a reference to the film Snatch with Georgious George the bare knuckle fighter.
