No, I addressed them. Your guesses are just guesses just like mine, which is what I said. You're not the harbinger of truth and unless you're willing to out yourself as a CDPR employee, you have no more insight into their development than I do. Again; you're choosing to believe that they left the content out for good-natured reasons, I'm not.

No, I'm deciding to believe that time is a finite resource and game devs do not work for free. I think it makes more sense, but if you think there are malicious undercurrents then well, your prerogative I suppose.

Guys, the Bloody Baron Family Matters quest line...

I found the daughter. But I cannot find the wife anywhere. Did I mess up somewhere? I still have the quest in my active log, but no map pointers to anywhere. The last I heard about her was that a monster appeared and carried her off. Did I miss something crucial with the lubberkin or will the wife pop up later on?

It's kind of bugging me now. OCD and all. Please spoiler tag the answer if necessary.

I just realized how Warner Bros is publishing top notch games this year:
-Dying Light
-Mortal Kombat X
-The Witcher 3
-Batman: Arkham Knight
-Mad Max

23k and counting, but I guess I did go to Skellige for about 10 minutes yesterday.

Skellige blacksmiths and alchemists will gladly take like 5k off you if you choose to purchase a bunch of new formulae / patterns there.

i went from 27k to like 22k within my first 30 minutes in Skellige.

the wife is part of the
Ladies of the Wood / Trail of Treats
quest-lines. You haven't missed her.

Wow, I need to go there. I'm only level 13 and I have already hoarded over 13k of gold. If I sold all of my jewel dust, it'd be double that.

Excellent, much obliged. I haven't gone to that swamp yet. Another low level quest that's in my log, all the time while I'm off hunting level 18-20 wyverns.

Finishing Triss' side quest opens up another one, and I loved it.

Those rock trolls that are with the final person needed for the assassination plot are so, so funny. I was laughing so hard at their attempt to swear at me. Felt so bad for killing them.

speaking of Skellige:

regarding the quest with the
cursed Werewolf
in the garden.

i LOVED that you could
lift the curse, then ask him for the reward (telling the loan shark he sent you) and STILL murder him afterwards.
.
First time really i got to have my cake and eat (
murder
) it too

actually, good job on getting to the daughter first. i lost the option to visit her in
Oxenfurt
because i progressed the other side of that quest. But i don't think i missed out on a lot.

Any suggestions on what skills to spend my points at death march?

I'd go for Quen. and maybe that vitality regeneration during the daytime to minimize on downtimes.

i feel like spending 3 points in the talent that gives you increased toxicity for every known alchemy formula is an amazing value. It more than doubles your toxicity threshold, which is great if you need to use a lot of healing potions during a single fight.

the best part is that savescumming to get a more favorable outcome is pretty difficult since the results aren't immediately realized. Just gotta roll with the punches.

Hah, yeah I wouldn't be save scumming anyway, I enjoy making these sorts of decisions for myself and sticking with them. I just don't think I'll be re-playing this for a while and wanted to know what the other outcomes were as I really enjoyed that quest-line.

My friend, however, is notorious for Googling what is the "best" outcome in games like this and he will be starting the game tomorrow. I've advised him to just go with it and he's agreed to but we'll see...

i have savescummed ONCE in the entire game so far, and that was because i lost a game of gwent in the Pasiflora tournament.

i'd love to platinum this game and i can't be arsed to do all the gwent collecting in my 2nd (death march) playthrough. If you lose just once during that tournament, you miss the card collector trophy. (same goes for the masquerade ball tournament)

No matter what the early game is gonna suck. I went into the sign tree and I feel like it really came into its own around level 15. Quen is your life on Death March. You can make it stronger but it's mostly gonna get knocked off in one hit. Use whatever you want and cast quen

So many funny little touches and jokes in this game, a lot of care and love gone into crafting some of these little things most people might never find or even register with. Makes the unintentional wonky stuff that much more easy to deal with when it happens.

*Near End Game Spoilers* Pretty random that
Keira and Lambert went up and left. Does anyone think it's weird they just went and left their friends behind?

The ladies in the wood is easily the best character designs I've seen so far in the game. Almost made up for that stupid botchling. I like how one of the witches has
a beehive for an eye

Does she put you to sleep even if you have happy time with her ? Thank Lord my righteous morals prevailed. Wait for me Triss ! Let her keep the notes though. I've a stinking feeling that that and Kaer Morhen won't mix particularly well.

They really need to give button prompts more range and make the process more responsive. It's ridiculous how finicky it can be simply trying to loot something or even board a boat/Roach.

Hey now, the botchling was an awesome piece of design. The umbilical cord was an excellent touch.

Actually, regarding the laides,
They aren't witches right? They are something else, something old created by the powers of the Mother and are different from witches.

Also botchling is cute and disgusting at the same time
Like a real newly born.

I don't know the exact details but they're clearly based on classic fairytales and folk tales of witches, though, what with the candy path and the fattening up of children so they can eat them. Hänsel und Gretel is the obvious example.

The head was the big issue. After reading the description I thought it was going to be terrifying, but it just looked like a random monster. Looked nothing like a human. They should've made it look more like a human baby (again, the head in particular). It should've been more real; more creepy.

It looks like freaking Stitch from Disney's Lilo & Stitch.

Sure that's what they're based on, but that doesn't mean they're the same in-world.

Did you ever see the mess women pop out when they give birth?

Does anything bad happen when a suggested level for a quest turns grey? Or will it just be piss easy? Also, is there a point where doing main quests will eventually funnel you into some major story beat and cut you off from sidequesting? I have been exploring Velen forever and haven't visited any major towns yet because I'm kind of afraid my sidequests might suddenly disappear.

I'm level 12 and I've only done a little bit of the Bloody Baron and Keira stuff. I just can't help but visit every single one of those question marks!

Random assholes in taverns are like Geralt's kryptonite. Keeps getting me into trouble...
So far I haven't met anyone who Geralt was not able to dice into rather small strips of meat and bone.

Their asshole-ness was short lived.

Seriously though, a 30% or more dismemberment chance turns Geralt into a walking abattoir.

I
sent her off to Kaer Morhen with the notes as well.
Wondering how this will play into the rest of the game if it does at all

This was answered just last page, if you don't want to wait to find out.

EDIT: Welp, two pages ago now, unless you're running at 100ppp.

The lack of XP on Death March is really starting to piss me off. By the time I can safely take down a guarded treasure the loot inside is absolute trash and the crafted gear I have is almost always better. And then the game gives me diagrams I cant use for another 10 levels.

I find myself running from most fights now as they offer absolutely nothing of value. 1xp, no loot and no ingredients I need for alchemy of crafting. I tried lowering the difficulty to hard but the game becomes a button mash fest. Quite sad really, I love the game but Death March XP gimping is sapping the fun for me now.

i wonder if they're going to rebalance the XP on death march in a later patch.

I'm confident i did the right thing of going for a 100% run on normal first and then doing a bee-line story-quests run on death march, "eventually"

Wow, I know this is an extremely long game but according to PlayStation's trophy list under 1% of players have completed the game at this moment in time, given it's been out for 9 days now I expected it to be at least a little more.

Yes.

They don't look like a botchling, if that's what you're going for ;b
I dunno, he looks a bit bigger than he should be, butit still looks like
a baby. a very ugly, dirty and somehwhat umnholy baby. But I like the design.

Side quests in the second area are pretty great so far. I just did "Wild at Heart". Simple but awesome.
The best thing is always that you never knows what is behind a secondary quest. This game can turn sonething that began as "buy some milk" into "throw Radovik into Mount Doom".

What's making so many of you guys
choose to release the tree spirirt? The atmosphere below, and around, the tree is so obviously evil that I felt like the game was beating me over the head with it...

Well yeah it is, I just want to see how badly this decision will fuck Geralt over later in the game.

Will it become part of the Wild Hunt? Will it kill Yennefer or Ciri? That's the kind of stuff I imagine a black demon horse doing. Deep down I also hoped I'd be able to sacrifice my old horse and then ride around on a cool demon horse ala Skyrim, but that obviously didn't happen :(

Some please tell me. If I have sex with
Keir's, Triss and Yen.
what are the consequences? Positive or negative? Spoil it for me. Thank you.

So far the only person I've done it with is
Keira.

The other ending is
that the Baron rides off with his wife to find a healer for her. The daughter seems to want to give it all another chance and wants to come along but her witch hunter boss tells her she's not allowed to.

Just got done with it, damn this game is good. Anyways the reason why I chose it was because
the game tricked me before with the Towerful of Mice quest. So there was no way they would do it again, at least not that soon.
lol I know that's not a good reason, but it's why I did it.
