I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Would be nice to see a dev push the PC to the limits, then porting to console by downgrading some graphix here and there.

Way better than the opposite imo, which was what happened with TW3 and ended up resulting in a huge downgrade for everyone.

It’s really not about neither games sold or ”peak players on Steam”, it’s all about lifetime revenue.

Right now on Steam I can get baldurs gate 3 for 48 euros while at PS store it costs me almost 60 euros.
€48 vs €56. Steam cut is 20% vs 30% on PSN. Larian gets about the same either way.

Problem is the majority of PC gamers don't have hardware that's better than the PS5. Series S might be a problem, yes.

I'd love to see them do a game where the bare min is like Zen 4/4080 and look like it but I don't think CDPR could get away with that.

After that horrible cyberpunk launch on consoles. I don't blame them if they wanna release it first on PC only.
There really wasn't any issues on PC for me. Just a heavy game that needed around a 3080.

But they lose the right to sell it for fullprice if they release a year or two late, am I doing this right? It should be half the price tops if they are doing late ports.

I bet they cut the basket VPN regional pricing trick right when TW4 pre orders are available

Cyberpunk on PS5 was……serviceable on day one.

It crashed my PS5 a few times and then I put it away as there was no chance I was having it brick my new console.

It would make me wary buying their games on console day one in all honesty. Once bitten twice shy.

Like The Witcher 2, which released exclusively on PC until ports down the line

Still looks phenomenal for a 2011 game

That game at the upper settings was kneecapping rigs. This is how it should be on PC.

If you count the PS4 and PS5 as one platform, the PlayStation version number are roughly the same as PC. Also, the PC version of Cyberpunk had less issues vs the console one so that may have contributed to it's lower sales.

Why bother with estimates when they released sales splits themselves for PL

It makes very little sense to do first the version that's going to take the longest amount of time to polish -due to the wide variations in capability of target hardware-, then do the simpler SKU's.

Now imaging segmenting PC sales by graphic cards 😅
That's not the point,PC gaming as a platform isn't exactly like consoles. The PS4 is/was viable to the degree Sony supports it,that doesn't work the same in the PC space. If a game was made for the PS4 right now a person could play it,that wouldn't be true for the GTX 680 or later models of GPUs from AMD or Nvidia if the developers aren't supporting it.

I'm not sure what you are responding to? Because your chart shows the PS5 alone,I said the combined PlayStation percentage was comparable to the PC.
That DLC is not available on PS4.

So yeah, of course there's no PS4 sales on it.
