My favorite show. The older you are when you rewatch it the more you take from it. Works on so many age levels. I grew up with these people. Glad to see the music is back.

Will pick this up at some point, and I hope this could be good news for Boston Public been waiting for many years now for that show to come out to DVD.

Chance for a new generation to see what a horrible person Winnie was.

Agree.

Forced my girlfriend to watch the entire series with me via Netflix. She is too young to remember it, but that finale will forever be etched into my brain.
Called up my Dad right after.

But then the soundtrack wouldn't be as good.

It would still be amazing, though. ;)

good news for this, except its already on netflix

there are other shows that need to be released. Drew Carey show only got 1 season released :(

Is the version on Netflix butchered, or does it have all the music as well?

It has surprisingly a lot of original music. The theme song is different. The substitute music makes it obvious to what the original was like oh that was Jimi Hendrix there. Doesn't stop it from being great.

The Doors sound alike song had me laughing out loud because it seemed like a parody of the Doors which is fine by me because The Doors suck.

Oliva D'abo is so beautiful. I even love that Conan movie with her in it.

Haha, I love that picture! Damn it feels weird to see this, after all those years. They really, really nailed down the family dynamics in that show. Even if it happened in the '60. Kevin's brother is looking pimp as hell! And Winnie being all awkwardly sitting on Kevin's laps is hilarious.

Everything about the show was so well done. I grew up with this show and like many people who watched it, went thru some of the same stuff that happened to Kevin. I loved how there was no happy endings most of the time.

Kevin's relationship with Winnie over the years changed so much, it felt so realistic. The final episode when they have a huge fight and end up stuck together into the barn because of the rain was awesome.

Most?

Fuck "most". Fuck "most" up its stupid ass.

Would rather watch bootleg VHS's, fuzzy picture and old commercials just enhances the nostalgia factor anyway.

I don't really care.

I don't understand the need for something to be 100% pure to the original. I mean some alterations are stupid like what Lucas did to Star Wars but if a couple of mini-games are removed from some Japanese video games - who cares?

Some alterations are better than the original. The studio edited version of Donnie Darko is so much better than what the director actually wanted.

I loved this show as a kid. I watched it on Nick@Nite during elementary school (before I was the age of the kids on the show), and then again around 15 years later. Going back to it gave me so much nostalgia both from seeing it again, and from, at that point, actually being able to relate to a lot more of the situations. Pretty fun.

A few summers ago I went on a complete wonder years binge since it was on netflix. Probably the greatest summer of my life.

I love that show. Looking forward to getting the dvds.

Yeah, the music was a huge part of it. The use of Bob Seger's "We've Got Tonight" is one of my favorite uses of music in any television scene. Also, I'd be interested in seeing if Madelyn is still hot

Have a little help from my friends... Lord I'm going to need somebody soon.

Wonder if it was the intro.
Nope, webpage says they specifically got that!

At long last, “The Wonder Years” will be coming to DVD, with the great music that made you fall in love with the show, including the memorable title sequence song, “With a Little Help from My Friends.”

It'll be random incidental music, and it'll drive fans (like all of us in here) crazy. Sigh. At least they're trying.

Watched it on netflix after it was added and I was glad how much music was still there. Though to have a physical copy with all of music there is a day 1 purchase. This show meant so much to my family, we loved and were just glued every week. It's still great, absolutely timeless.

She was like 14 in that.

I've still never seen the finale... I watched the show religiously throughout its entire run and for whatever reason wasn't home to see the last episode. I was crushed for YEARS. I recently signed up for Netflix so I guess I could rectify but I think I'll wait for this. It's somehow more nostalgic.

Madelyn was just okay. I think this is probably the hottest girl Kevin ever went for:

Ya know, looking back on it now, The Wonder Years was pretty impressive in how it managed to make you care about and root for Kevin and Winnie's series long relationship, while also having these one-off side adventures with Kevin and whatever pretty girl they managed to cast. You were always able to watch these episodes and wanted Kevin to get that kiss, even though it was going behind Winnie's back and Kevin probably should've felt a lot of guilt over it.

I don't know I was pretty over their relationship by the end. Besides, everyone knows Kevin should have ended up with Margaret Farquar.
