I think Scully is immortal, in episode
Clyde Bruckman he can see people's death and told Sully she doesn't die.
Also there was another episode where
death was coming for people and it passed this guy up so he was living forever. Later in the episode Scully was about to die, and he said don't look at it, and it took him instead. Which in turn passed her up.

I am sure I didn't explain this well, trying to remember, it's been way to long.

Sorry. Didn't see the first paragraph.

Holy shit, this third episode was cringe worthy -_-

Sadly agree, but I enjoyed Mulder/Scully interactions..

I actually thought this would have been a good one to start as episode 1 due to Mulder's attitude. Honestly, I kind of hated everything about it except for the sillyness. Like... it would have worked best if they had removed any notion of monsters or animorphs, and just left it to 1 loony ranger guy causing trouble and a foreigner on drugs.

I don't think I noticed this before, but since I recently watched both episodes in reverse order, I found this really neat:

In Beyond the Sea, Mulder gives Boggs a piece of fabric
and Boggs gets a reading off of it. Then Mulder says it was simply from his New York Knicks t-shirt.

Then, in Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose,
Peter Boyle quips about a piece of fabric maybe being from Mulder's Knicks t-shirt.

The Most Dangerous Yes Man
I thought the episode was underwhelming.

There was way too much exposition on the part of the reptilian man, that Mulder and further Scully were just ancillary characters.

I want the X-Files not the fanfiction of some lizard personality.

If the episode's retelling of all the events from the view point of the lizard were reduced, I think I would have liked it better.

For the Mulder pervs.

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.

The no-bra made me say "goddamn" out loud during the live airing. I dunno how that got past the censors totally fine.

There was way too much exposition on the part of the reptilian man, that Mulder and further Scully were just ancillary characters.

The whole point of that was to explain the "twist" and parallels to Mulder's own personality/wanting to believe in monsters and stuff.

I would have liked this episode more if the entire season wasn't confined to 6 episodes.

It was great in it's own right but in terms of the entire larger story arch it seemed to be a waste. It's like now they only have 3 episodes to tie it up all together to finally close the chapter on x-files once and for all.

The episode and Mulders turn around wouldn't have really worked if it was just some drugged up foreigner running around the woods.

Agree with you there. Someone having a bad trip/existential crisis sets up quite a different framework than an innocent creature being viciously attacked by and turned into what he sees as a violent predator (human) and being forced to deal with all that entails.

This episode is like an X Files fan litmus test: if you don't like it, you either haven't been here long enough, don't get it, or you aren't legit.

I'm not sure how a fan of the show could have disliked this episode unless they skipped a ton of the comedic episodes in the past and ignored all the comedy found throughout the more serious episodes.

This was classic X-Files in my mind. The humor in the series is one of the best things about it.

ERMYGERD!
Great episode. Mulder starting to question everything, Scully just doing as she's told, get the investigation over with. The whole reversal of monster and human was well done.

And Gillian Anderson in that phone store. Hnnnnnng, I literally said dayum out loud.

Wow this episode was so much better then I was expecting. Twists and turns throughout, well written and just weird (in all the right ways). Loved it!

easily the best episode of the 3, but I was always a fan of the comedy episodes. Im sure most people hated it tho

Kinda, yeah.

Everyone involved has expressed interest in doing more and the ratings have been great = more in some capacity. Probably new agents though

Noo.

I mean yeees.

I mean I don't know what I mean. I want more X-Files, but I also want Scully and Mulder.

It could go either way I'm just thinking that if they want to commit to a longer season, I'm assuming it'll skew in that direction.

The episode was bad.

In all the right ways. I've always loved the cheesy comedy eps.

They're 2-1 at the moment after last week was good too. Hope they keep it up.

Didn't Anderson specifically say she's on board for more if the demand is there? Haven't heard anything alluding to the fact that they'd be replaced. We're already going to experience this (loss of the main star) with 24, not X-Files too.

I seriously doubt this will be the end considering the numbers this is pushing. It's doing much better than Live Another Day and that led them to reboot the series. The premiere for example received double the viewership of Live Another Day although there was a strong dip after that.

Good episode, but a little bit too goofy/out there at times. I would have prefered the comedy to be a little more sublte.

I guess it's no big deal but season 10 has way too vibrant colors compared the the original run.

I have the same thought but at the same time I did laugh a lot. But yeah, some scenes went a bit overboard, particularly the sex scene, seems a bit much for this show, but overall they pulled it off.
For me the highlight was Mulder going all rational at the start of the case because he felt disappointed but when it started to seem like it was a real monster he went into full conspiracy mode lol.

As for the photography, I've been watching a rerun of the original show and the difference definitely stands out but I'm getting used to it.

If they continue the show with different characters I'm out. Starting the show again only to do that shit again? Fuck that.

As much hate as he gets Doggett actually had some good episodes and moments. Doggett was at his best when he was figuring things out his own way, his character got bogged down with too many WWMD (What would Mulder do) moments instead of following his own intuition.

Reyes' character development suffered the most imo. With Doggett and Scully taking up most of the screen time there was hardly anything left for her. She was just kind of "along for the ride" so to speak. She never really had an opportunity for her own moment.

Yep. So glad she's still got it.

The X Files at it's absolute best. Love the comedy cheesy episodes and this was fantastic from beginning to end.
When it doesn't take itself too seriously it's so much fun.

Without doubt one of my favourite episodes of all time.

Had no idea Rhys Darby was appearing in this, pleasantly surprised when his name popped up.

I'm a fan since season 1 and can totally understand why some people might not like this episode. Yes there were comedic episodes/moments in the past but it has never been so over the top. If you look at Bad Blood or Jose Chung's from Outer Space which were a little bit over the top too, these were this way because you were told the story through the eyes of someone else. This episode does not have this filter so the behaviour of Scully and Mulder seems strange.

I thought Post Modern Prometheus was pretty over the top, especially the ending sequence with Cher.

I thought the Bruce Campbell episode was Small Potatoes, but I was wrong. I just watched that one this morning, and it's another good one. Small Potatoes, that is.

Awesome episode, definitely hits all the right notes in regards to classic/funny Xfiles.

Loved all the little touches and call backs (red speedo, Queequeg etc)

Definitely falls in the top 20 for me.

Which is surprising to me that most loved it and a few hated it. Not sure if that is Nostalgia getting me or not.
