I like Lavar as an actor but those who still are pulling for him obviously didn't watch him host. I think nostalgia for Star Trek and Reading Rainbow are clouding a lot of people's judgement.

I admire passion too but it doesn't change the fact that he was at best a mediocre host. I personally wouldn't chose someone based solely off that when about half the other hosts did a better job I thought. I am still shaking my head about this whole new host search for Jeopardy like this gig is some holy grail job. The show may be old and iconic to some but its nothing special and the I get the impression this whole guest host search just feels like the people who run the show are dragging this out. Price is Right is just as iconic and more entertaining to me personally and you didn't see this kind of drawn out self-important host search when Bob Barker left the show.

Just please not Levar. Dude legitimately made the show worse to watch. I found most every other guest host acceptable except, ironically, Mayim Bialik. She was a net negative too. I don't like that Jeopardy! is going back into the guest host phase, they really need to just find someone and move forward so we can all focus on what makes the show great. It's not the host.
Also super excited for Matt Amodio's run, he's super likable and it has been a blast watching him play. When the show returns, the focus should be on him and not the drama around this host situation.
