All I know for sure is that Billy Hunter has somehow managed to leapfrog a guy who put his players out of work and Don "They should be allowed to pump juice and speed because it's america" Fehr as the most fucking retarded pro sports PA head. He's cried racist on two entirely non-race-related issues in a span of three weeks or so, and he's now got the hands of agents up his ass fucking up negotiations and bringing upon even more hatred to the NBA. Yeah, that's what the league needs, you dumb fuck.

No. If their team has a crappy season, the most they might have to worry about is cutting back on the amount of ferraris they buy for their groupies.
Meanwhile, if a team goes tits up, or doesn't make money, or starts losing money, the owners foot the bill.. comes out of their pocket.
Listening to players live a risk free lifestyle with paychecks in the millions, and bitch because they aren't getting "enough" is retarded. Listening to people stand up for them because they don't make as much as the owners? That's retarded on a biblical fucking scale.

I'm surprised this is news to people. From day one the NHL strike was being used as a testing ground for the NBA - since both leagues share a fair number of similar owners and buildings - but because the NHL strike has gone so badly it seems like the NBA's hand may be forced before they have the other league resolution to work off of.

The NBA having a lockout is nothing new. A lockout that wipes out an entire season is a different matter though. I'll laugh my ass off if it occurs...the NHL were complete dumb fucks for doing this and will probably never recover, and it'll be the same for the NBA. As much as I've loved the hoops this season, they don't have such a hold on my life that I'd be miserable without them.
Besides, I've got the EPL and auto racing...as long as those are going on, fuck everybody else.
And yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL sees the start of the 2006 season put on hold due to CBA talks (or non-talks) as well...though the union would have to grow a new pair of balls first, since the NFL stole theirs in '87 and have been using 'em for dice ever since.
