This thread is for stupid GAMING questions that don't deserve their own thread

I'd go for Luigi's Mansion if you haven't played it yet. Nothing wrong with Sunshine but it's likely you've already played some 3D Mario so check out Luigi's effort. It also has fantatstic music.

Should I be trying Mario Sunhine or Luigi's Mansion?

Maybe, someday, both will be played, but for now, only one is optional. GAF, it's your call.

Luigi's Mansion is a fun, different game for the franchise with a lot of simple and subtle humour to enjoy and good mechanics behind it.

Sunshine is more 3D Mario Platforming, but with a power up that you will have access to for 90% of the game.

I say Mansion personally, just because it needs more fans and love. Plus it may help you decide on getting the sequel for 3DS someday, while I doubt you need convincing on a Mario Platformer in the future.

So Luigi's Mansion it will be. Thank you for the feedback!

On another note: just played Mario Kart: Double Dash and rocked that boat by beating the All Cup Tour in Mirror Mode with only 1 point ahead of number two, woohoo!

Sorry to bump, but what is the website where I can manage my playstation accounts?

it's like something-ocity..

This has me stumped. Did a quick search but come up with nothing:

I'm wondering if you need Xbox Live Gold to play a system link game (The Orange Boxes Team Fortress 2) between 2 profiles (my main gold account and a second silver account) using a wireless connection to link my two consoles. Don't want to go through the trouble of getting another copy of the game and hooking up the systems and then find out you need gold.

I found some stuff about Shadow Hearts Covenant, and it looks like a neat RPG. Does it make sense without having played Shadow Hearts 1 or Koudelka?

You might miss out on some back story, but it's absolutely playable as a standalone title. I'm in the minority who prefers the first two games, but I think almost everyone else here considers it to be the best game in the series.

Sounds good. How frequent are the save points/how convenient is it to stop playing when you need to?

That would go against the very nature of system link. If a game supports system link you in no way need top pay to hook a few xboxes together. Also, TF2 is F2P on pc and doesn't take very powerful hardware to run smoothly, look into that as an alternative.

Is there an option, to somehow email sony about my psn\sen account, to move it from us to eu ?

I'm trying to get any contatc info ( phone \ email ) to ask it to sony, but there's nothing on the new sen website :\

My brother was talking excitedly about playing the DOA5 demo yesterday night. When we sat around the couch, and I asked him to download the demo, he said that he burned it onto a DVD. Apparently the only way to get early access to this demo is to pre-order Ninja Gaiden 3. He feels he's entitled to the demo despite not pre-ordering and so he downloaded it from the internet and burned it onto a DVD. I immediately think, what a fucking idiot, because I don't like the idea of putting any burned DVDs in the 360. It screams "BANNED" to me. He assures me that he's done it before with Resident Evil 5 and Bayonetta demos. Then when he starts up the game and I ask him why he isn't logging into his profile and why he removed the wireless adapter, he said it was "just to be safe."

SMFH.

Am I wrong to be paranoid?

So if I get free games off PSN+ and there's no expiration date when I go to check, does it mean that it's mine forever or is the date simply "hidden"?

Is it games that had a trial download and then a key-unlock for the full game?
Because I don't see any expiration-dates on any game that had that combo either. Every other game that was free that don't have the trial + key-unlock, have an expiration-date attached to itself.

What are good games to play on a PC while browsing at the same time?

I'm looking for something that probably isn't real time and can be played in a window.

Yeah, that's the case. All of the ones with no date had an unlock key.

Just have to wait and find out, I guess.

I think so.

Cheers - been using Netflix on it and it looks a lot better than it did (except for the quality starting out horrible upon starting playback and then improving. Might just be Netflix/my connection though).

Anyway, has anyone tried the PAL version of the Original Xbox Silent Hill 2 on their 360? Does it run well? I'm just concerned after the glitch on PAL Panzer Dragoon Orta that didn't let you go past the third level. Don't suppose they ever fixed that? :lol

Hey guys, I have this music track from a, probably, last gen game (PS2, GC, Xbox, DC), but I don't know which game is it:

Track in question

It is probably a Japanese developed game.

So anyone knows from which game is it?

Should I buy Fez+Walking Dead Episode 1, Trials: Evolution+ WD E1, or Minecraft for XBLA?

I played the trials of them, and love them all. I just can't decide.

So with this Redux kickstarter offering a Dreamcast version of their game, I'm wondering what would prevent a developer from releasing a new game for, say, the Gameboy Advance (cartridge manufacturing aside)? Is it just that Sega doesn't give a shit about licensing, while other console manufacturers do?

Honestly I think I'd be happy if instead of a next-gen we got a return to an old-gen but with fresh games.

WTF?! I have 800 Wii Points left over but I can't add 200 more to buy another N64 game? I have to add another $10, $20, $50?! Fucking Sin and Punishment!

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to install Diablo III off my disc without an optical drive? I hardly ever use CDs or DVDs and haven't for years, so often if I need to install something from a disc I either: a) share a network drive from another PC with an optical drive, or b) make an ISO and install via Daemon Tools.

This time a) has resulted in deathly slowness and multiple errors before reaching the 10% mark, and b) has resulted in it saying my disc has been ejected over and over again.

So does anyone have any easy tips? Or am I going to have to wait 3 days to download this thing?

Do you know anyone that has the installer files, or fast internet? If so I'd see if you can get the files on a USB stick somehow. :(

Why did the Devil May Cry series reach it's pinnacle at DMC 2 and stop improving from that point onwards?

I was a bit disappointed to see a decline after such a positive step forward, with DMC 2 improving all the original flaws of DMC, and getting rid of most of the boring bits and silly Eastern influences. DMC 3 seemed to be more like the original though and a HUGE step backwards. Did a different dev studio take over for DMC 3 or something?

Hmm, would it work if I installed via disc to my other PC and then brought the files over by USB from there?
I know for a fact that World of Warcraft works like that, and the structure looks very similar in Diablo - but I can't confirm for sure as I haven't tried it (although I wish I had, would have saved me downloading it again at work). :(

You have... peculiar tastes.

Luckily the franchise is in better hands now. So expect DMC to be really good for once.

Regarding GOTY editions of 360 games, when it is advertised that the game will include all previous DLC, does that mean that the DLC will be on-disc or that it can be downloaded for free after purchasing the game via XBL?

Depends on the game. I know Gears of War 2's GOTY gives download codes, and AC2's GOTY is on-disc.

Does Konami now own the rights to Bomberman?

How far in advance of E3 can we start the hunt for E3 Bear?

That is, when do we start getting the blurry photos of banners being put up and mysterious crates, along with the occasional clues from E3 booths being put together?

I'm thinking it's about two weeks away, but I felt I ought to check.

It's only a few days i.e. less than a week before the start of E3, isn't it?

I've been playing Deus Ex GOTY lately, does JC get tired and walks for a few seconds when running? It happens almost constantly and it is annoying me. I have the game on always running on just in case.

Only if you're using augmented legs and you run out of power, normal running is unlimited.
