When playing my original xbox via component cables on hdtv, every once in a while the screen will go black and the sound cuts out. This only lasts for probably 1 second and then comes right back on, but the action is still going on in-game.
I've tried 2 different sets of component cables, both are cheapos though. Any advice on how to fix?
Forgive my ignorance but are there RPGs in a post apocalypse world other than Fallout? I could really go for a game like that. I suppose I could just replay Fallout 3 or New Vegas.
One more stupid question - I have only played Assassins Creed 1 so far. What other AC should I play before getting AC3? Just 2 or is Brotherhood and Revelations important to the story?
Thanks mclem but I was thinking more recent.

Wasteland 2's so recent it doesn't actually exist yet!
Is there a list of all the DS games that let you download new stuff (puzzles, quests, etc.) via WiFi (and only those)?
Well when something like that happens, you should always check your bank account if you have reason to be concerned. More than likely it's just a technical oversight.so I cancelled my XBox Live about a year ago.
just this past week I started receiving XBL emails. At the bottom it says "You are receiving this member service update as part of your Xbox LIVE membership."
well no... I'm not a member.
Am I to just assume that MS decided to be shady and start sending Live emails to past subscribers due to Windows 8/Surface this week? Or do I have to start looking over my bank statements and make sure I wasn't automatically signed back up recently or something??
So, guys, I bought an Asian PS3.
Is there a way to swap the O and X buttons? I'm just too used to the American way, haha.
It's from the end of Crysis.
Carpe Fulgur seem to have been awfully quiet for an awfully long time. Everything still going for them?

Gaming side GAF, I need your help. Every year I beat around 14 games on average. This year that number has drastically dropped to 4. I'm just not feeling it right now. So my question is what game or games (for 360/PS3/PC) can maybe motivate me to play and rekindle my love of games. I actually have a bunch of stuff sitting on my shelf unopened right now so there could be a chance that something you name, I have.
For reference, the games I beat this year are Mass Effect 3, Max Payne 3, Uncharted 3, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.
No, get used to it. And get used to games randomly adapting that or not and some games displaying the buttons wrong.
I have a question about the order I should play the rest of the MGS series. I have the HD collection on 360 as well as 4, so I was wondering, since Peace Walker originally came out on the PSP should I play it before 4 to end my playthroughs on a high note, (I've beaten 1 & 2 already) or just play 3, 4, then back to the HD collection for PW?
Like will playing PW before 4 ruin anything in terms of story, or is it just a matter of changing controls again (as I've been told)?
Cool. Appreciate the info.PW isn't directly tied to 4 (if anything it'll be more like a midquel between 3 and Ground Zeroes), so it shouldn't matter if you play PW before 4.
You can also play them on a PS2/PS3 and in some cases on a PSP/PSV, but my favorite PS1 games are:Simple question. I got a PS1 recently. I have THPS2, Crash 2/3, Spyro, Driver 6, Tekken 2/3*, code to arms(?). Anyways, my question is what games should I get? Genre doesn't matter.
Modern plasma TVs aren't sensitive to burn-in. I've played a lot games with static HUD elements and the image retention will disappear when you watch something else.
They're both caused by static content. The difference is that burn in is permanent where as image retention isn't. I understand that you don't want to risk it with a new TV. I hope you get a better answer in the community thread. For reference's sake, my Panasonic plasma TV is from Feb 2009.
So the storm here in NY is cutting off the power every few hours or so but it comes back on. I was thinking of playing 360, but anyone know if it is likely my whole HDD gets corrupted from the power going off while playing?
And the screen border like this one:
So it's "Atomic Purple" but has Pokemon on the border of the screen. I'm going to try and get some information off the seller, but I can't find any evidence of this on the interwebs.
Here's a head scratcher...
I just bought a Gameboy Color which has a casing like this one:

Does anyone know anything about it? I'll try take some pictures when it actually arrives.
I think I saw one on eBay once but I can't find the listing again, it was maybe a year ago.
Was it ever revealed who made that fancy Majora's Mask HD trailer?
I just watched it again and it looks very professional. Whoever did it has a lot of talent.
No, your HDD is tied to the physical unit. You need to use the transfer tool. I guess it's a necessary evil to prevent piracy. If I were to remove the HD from my PS3 and place it in a different PS3, would the latter PS3 effectively be identical to my own (with my downloaded titles functioning and my accounts being present)?
Which one? I want to see it.![]()
