This thread is for stupid GAMING questions that don't deserve their own thread

I downloaded FF7 onto my PS3, it wants me to use Circle for confirm and X to cancel. That's craziness. Is there any way to change that?

Go to the Config menu in-game and there should be an option to change your controls. There are certain parts of the game where you have to switch back because of some glitchiness, however.

Hmm, I can't seem to find it. The only controller option I see is to change my port, pick analog or digital, and turn rumble on or off. The only other options are for screen size and smoothing. Ah well, worst case scenario I just have to live with it. Thanks for your help though!

No, not in the PS3 menu. The actual game's config menu.

Scroll down to "Controller," switch to "Customize," then you should be able to switch buttons to whatever you like.

Is there some spiritual successor to TENCHU: Stealth Assasins that I'm not aware of? I don't like 'ninja' games like Gaiden with ridiculous power ups/monsters etc, but loved the sneaky stealthing realism in Tenchu.

Have you played Mark of the Ninja?

Nope, don't have a 360. But am I right in thinking that's a side scroller? Is it still about stealth over action? I was thinking more of a realistic/3D sneak 'em up like Tenchu SA was at the time - but I'd be will to give MotN a go if it's sneaky enough ;)

You can choose to go all out action or completely stealthy. Game is decently balanced in that way.

Other than that game I can't really see a successor to Tenchu. Unfortunately.

Ok cool, thanks to you both. Another reason I might have to pick up a late gen bargain 360 ;)

Still /sadface that no true Tenchu succesor...

I will be travelling to USA soon and thinking of buying Wii U there, ifIi take it back to Europe will I be able to download USA wii u games from eshop? Or is the store based off IP address?

I've been meaning to buy Heroes of Might & Magic III as it's the best HOMM game as far as I know. Played it back in 90s, but never got far. Now I could get the game for 10€ or so, but I've also seen HOMM I-V pack for 20€ and I'm not sure which one I should pick. I've played HOMM II as well, but I think it's a bit too dated now a days. But how's HOMM IV for example, worth playing after HOMM III?

HoMM IV is a rather different game and is excellent if you can accept that fact.

Also

HoMM 2 > HoMM 3

This is only marginally about gaming but I didn't know where else to post it.
A friend of mine is a great fan of the Metal Gear Solid series and I wanted to get him something related for his birthday but I know nothing about it. I just know he really likes Otacon. Any advice about what to get him? (Possibly under 30€)

On ps2 theres shinobido from acquire. The same guys who made the first two tenchus. On vita there. Is shinobido 2. Its exactly like tenchu but evolved i like it very much

Is the PlayStation 4 logo final? Right now it's just the ps3 logo with a 4. That kind of sucks.

I don't think they've addressed it, but I believe it is the final logo (or at least close to it).

See, one of their big mistakes with the PS3 was getting rid of the familiar and well-known PS2 logo. Once they realized that, they revamped the PS3 branding and changed it back to something that resembled the old branding and well, some would say that's one of the things that helped the console and finally made it successful.

That said, I think they could have introduced some minor changes to the logo instead of simply changing the number. Maybe they will, who knows?

does anyone remember this beat em up fighting game that was kinda anime style, it was manly played in schools about 5-10 years ago. i know some of the characters were like Karate style and some were DBZ style characters.

My friend does not have internet service. Is there a way I could download PS3 demos on my console and transfer them to his Playstation? I want to give him the Injustice demo as well as the old Mortal Kombat and Just Cause 2 demos (I do not think they're still on PSN, but I may be able to locate them via my Download List).

Need to free up some space on my 360 hard drive. If I delete Arcade games or Games on Demand, can I redownload them later?

just downloaded mortal kombat from ps plus

as its currently on instant game collection

oddly though it is still asking me for an online pass to let me play online

did i do something wrong?

seeing as it was a ps plus game i didn't think this would be an issue

help would be great

thanks

edit: its not in my download list, all that is there is the ps3 and vita version of the game

Yup, on the account that bought them. There's a purchase history option in your account details section that allows you to see what you own and re-download it whenever you like.

Where's the button on the PSN store to add a game to the cart?

I remember there being an arrow type icon to add to cart and then to download the ones you wanted when you've done shopping.

If Handymen are just guys in metal suits, how come their heads are twice the size of a normal person?

Any why do they keep saying "Go Away!" but then follow me when I go away?

Is gameflys fast return a load of crap? Whenever I have used gamelfy I swear I've never gotten games in a timely manner.

Witcher 2, Flotsam, "Indecent Proposal" quest. The guidelines is simply "Go to Loredo's residence in the evening". Well, here I am, in the evening, at his house, and it always says locked. I've reloaded saves, waited a couple of day/night cycles, and still nothing.

What do?

There is no easy button, much to everyones annoyannce. You have to click on the content then you are presented one of 3 options

Choose a version - Full Game, Full Game Trial

Download Now

Add to Cart

There is no universal 'Press square to add to cart' or anything sensible like that.

So I'm on the PS Plus section now and I see war in the north for free. All I see is the download option. No option to add to cart

Did you wait in real time or using meditation?

They changed it. You used to be able to add all PS+ games to your cart, then "buy them" for $0. Now all the PS+ games and demos just have a "download" button. Pressing it "purchases" the game and starts the download. Good for demos, bad when you want to purchase a bunch of PS+ games.

Does anyone remember if Direct2Drive ever sold Blur? I remember buying it and downloading from somewhere but I can't find it anywhere. Yes, I know gamefly bought D2D but I don't see it there either. It's not on my steam or amazon, greenmangaming or gamersgate accounts. I'm starting to get annoyed with digital transactions...

Yes, they did. Maybe you should get a Backloggery account or something to keep track of your games?

Yes... I said you will see one of three options. If you are a PS+ member and you see a free PS+ item the one option you will see is Download Now, no other options.
