This has always been a question I've had that I'm scared to ask.

Basically every so often , certain people come into my office that smell....spicy for lack of a better word. It may be curry or something. A couple of customers today smelled this way which is why it's on my mind

What I've wondered is if this is a result of their home smelling this way or do the spices come from the pores like garlic is known to do?

Not meaning to offend (It's not a bad smell), just always been curious.

If obi wan said that only sith deal in absolutes, and yoda said that there is only "do and do not, no try," does that mean yoda deals with absolutes and is a sith?

Is there a good alternative to itunes for someone with an ipod?

I never automatically sync; I only add music manually (since my ipod is 30 GB, and my music collection is over 100).

itunes runs like absolute shit on my computer. A lot of the time it won't even start, and then sometimes when it does, it won't play songs (they get stuck at 0:00).

Well I can do some really shitty work and still get the job done, so I suppose there are several degrees of 'do' and 'do not'.

Oh and Obi-wan is also a Sith by your logic so can we really trust him?

So everyone's a sith?

What's the best program for converting the audio in youtube videos to mp3? My friend's band put up a bunch of stuff on youtube that I'd love to put on my ipod.

Are the Cowboy Bebop soundtracks available on Itunes?

Searching for Cowboy Bebop, The Seatbelts and Yoko Kanno bring up no results, so I'm going to say no...

You can pick up an import disc from Amazon though!

Bebop OST Box: $99.99 (The $44.95 one is a bootleg, not recommended)
OST 1: $9.40

Eh, here's the page for you to check out instead of me listing it all :P

Edit: Actually, there's no guarantee the $99 version isn't a bootleg either unless the seller is willing to provide pictures >_>

a short 10 second video in fraps at 30 fps is 90 mb, is there a way to convert that into a smaller file before i upload it to youtube? what program should i use (free?) and any tutorials?

I use VirtualDub. Choose the 32 or 64 bit version depending on your OS. You may need to add some codecs (as found in CCCP) so that you can encode to what you want. It will output an .avi file much smaller than the raw Fraps file.

For conversion/compression in VirtualDub, I usually use the following settings:

Select Video from the top menu bar -> Compression. You'll get a new window.
Select ffdshow Video Codec -> Click Configure
Encoder: H.263+
FOURCC:H263
Mode: One Pass Quality

I believe that's all that needs to be done.

Every time you close and open the program (unless something has changed in a recent build), you'll have to do the Video-> Compression and select ffdshow Video Codec again. The other settings should remain the same.

That should be it :D I think...

In terms of Top Secret, Classified Information which Federal Agency in the US would have the most "Secrets", that they would do everything within their power from going public?

http://handbrake.fr/downloads.php

Drag and drop file anywhere onto program window. Hit start. Let convert! Very fool proof.

I deal with mountains of Fraps footage and I haven't been able to get similar results out of VirtualDub, I only ever use it to combine Fraps pieces of footage into a single file.

The $9 definitely is a bootleg. I found Tank! The Best for about $35 so maybe I'll get that. I already have a couple songs on there, but not all. I just really want "Gotta Knock A Little Harder".

Yeah, when I want JP CDs I usually order from CDJapan or YesAsia so that I can avoid the, "could this possibly be a bootleg?', dilemma. The few times I ordered something from Marketplace, I ask for pictures and catalog #s. Most of the time I find it easier to just import. The shipping may suck but, it buys me peace of mind also :P

Edit: You can buy Tank! from CDJapan for $33.60 which includes Air Mail shipping option.

I actually found Blue at a local store once. It was really expensive, but a surprise because I never expected to see that in a rather small, suburban mall. Unfortunately, I never saw any other ones there.

What do you call it when you cook outside on the thing that uses either charcoal or propane? I'm from Virginia, and we call it grilling (or cooking out [on the grill]). My girlfriend, who lived in North Carolina (which is directly beneath Virginia for those who might not be aware), northern California, and Florida growing up (though fortunately not at the same time) calls it barbecuing. Her whole family calls it that, actually, and they refer to appliance as a barbecue.

Where I come from,'barbecue' indicates a specific type of sauce will be adorned by your food. How about everyone else?

in ontario, barbecue is a type of food, a metal thing that you cook stuff in, a type of sauce, and a verb

grilling works interchangeably though

tried a few different fraps captures, a few downloads, and only 1/4 of the downlaods worked and none of the fraps files. gave me error when i tried to load as source.. thx though!

I encode with virtualdub.
Container: AVI (sue me)
Video codec: XVID (Bitrate determines filesize)
Audio codec: MP3

Recently something happened to my Google Chrome and the cookies file or something is corrupt and now Chrome never keeps me logged in. So every site I have a membership for each time I close the browser I have to retype my username and pass etc.

How do I fix this? I uninstalled Chrome and then re-installed and nothing happened.

I was originally looking for the videogame version of this thread but couldn't find it so

Anyone here know if LA Noire's DLC pass covers all future DLC? Also, how do I access them? Do they simply show up as I play or what?

Question about foreign voltage levels etc. Going to London tomorrow and we're obviously gonna bring some tech like cameras and my psp etc. Dad has bought two travel plugs so the cables can fit in their sockets but they don't do voltage conversion. My psp is from Asia/Japan and it works fine here in Sweden with just an adapter so it fits our sockets. Is it gonna be any problems? :S From what I've gathered, the psp can handle 100v - 240v but I'm not sure.

The Rockstar Pass allows you to get all the DLC and futur (though, I think there's only one case left... After that... who knows)

It's 3 cases (two great, one good) and another one coming, plus news suits and perks.

It's used to be 9.99$ and I guess it's 11,99$ now or something.

On the PS3 version, buy the Rockstar Pass on the store, then all the DLC became free, so download them all manually

Does anyone know how to make that cheese sauce they serve in cinemas on top of nachos?

I've been to a few sites that come up with what is supposed to be 'the' way to do it, but they have different ingredients.

Grew up in Texas: to me the barbecue is the event and grilling is what you do there.

How does moving an iTunes library work? Do you just copy the iTunes folder, paste it in the new location, delete the old library within iTunes and import the new one? Will all tags and artwork come across perfectly?

It's a barbeque. You barbeque or grill on it.

Barbeque sauce is called that because it's frequently used on barbequed meat.

Why is it recommended and expected that people drive with 1 foot? As in, their dominate foot for both gas and brake? Is there some science behind this?

I'd imagine so people don't break and gas at the same time. I could definitely see that happening in a panic situation. Plus your probably more likely to get confused as to which foot to put down as well if you have them both on two pedals and you're slightly zoned out.

I imagine people would absentmindedly let their foot rest too heavily on the break pedal while driving. That would end up smelling pretty bad and probably wear your breaks out. That's the only concrete reason i can think of.

To add to the above posters insights:
You're forgetting the clutch pedal. It is useful to be able to use the clutch + brake or clutch + gas, but you don't really have a use for brake + gas. Thus, I imagine it quickly became standard to use your right foot for gas/brake and the left for the clutch. Even if you drive an automatic car, there's still not much reason to use brake + gas, so the standard continues.

Because the other foot goes on the clutch.

Grill is part of/setting on your oven. Grilling is cooking in said format. Barbecue is the outdoors thing with charcoal and all that. Barbecuing is cooking on said device. Barbecue sauce is the tomato-y nom sauce.
