Anyone help me with RAM differences? All the articles I'm finding online are a few years old so they're outdated. :(
What are you using the computer for?

I might be reading the BB website wrong but what is the speed of the RAM in the HP computer?

Also, what archnemesis said.

Some gaming, but nothing high end (think Sam and Max, not Bioshock 2)

Can anyone recommend a decent golf carry/stand bag? My cheapy one is finally beyond repair and I actually have some money for a new one.

So in my apartment building there is a Maytag washer and dryer. The dryer has three settings: "Whites & Colors", "Permanent Press", and "Delicates". What the hell do each of those correspond to? And how fuckin hard would it have been for them to just label it like Hot, Warm, and No Heat or something?

The Matrix is malfunctioning. Also avoid doctors, they're actually Agents in disguise.

I think W&C is normal, just heat until it's dry. Delicates is a much lower temperature. Permanent Press is to minimize wrinkles. Starts off normal, but tapers off with less and less heat.

ahh, thanks.

Was that so hard, Maytag?

So I'm trying to watch Lost on Hulu and the video is stuttering like crazy and going really slow. I don't know how computers work, anyone have any idea of what is wrong with my shitty PC?

I have an assignment due tomorrow on a court case and I need to brief it. Only problem is, my professor doesn't give me the case name. He only shares the facts. Anyone know where I can find such information?

Here are the facts:

About a husband and wife who own a home which lacks a water supply. They enter a contract with the neighbor who has water supply. They agree with neighbors that they will split the bill. Everything works out until it goes south. They disagree. The neighbor decides to shutdown the water periodically. Becomes unpleasant.

One family sues other family for damages.

p.s. If I can make a thread based on this topic let me know. I need immediate help.

I don't know why this is so confusing for me:

I want to buy a new and larger bed, but I'm not sure what all I need. Mattress and bed frame are obvious, but are boxsprings actually necessary? Headboards?

Also, how much is this likely to cost me (for a queen-size)? And should I try to buy all this stuff in one place, or do I need to shop around for the different bits?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Restart your router and/or modem. If that doesn't work restart your comp.

How can I pierce my ears in the best way possible?

I google around but all I can find is the generic procedure (sterilize>ice>pinch) is there any not-commonly known tips for avoiding pain and specially stuff for a grown-ass man like me. I already left some earrings along with 2 different sized needles heating up in the microwave downstairs for 15 minutes because I really want to make sure I don't get an infection. Maybe there's an special needle for this or can I just use those normal sewing needles? Any advice gaf?

Do you know where the case went?

Why does the PSP-3000 screen look so, dark? I used to own a 2000 model until the screen cracked, so I recently picked up a 3000. However, I noticed a rather conspicuous difference in image. The 2000 screen was crisp, clear and bright, but the 3000 looks as though it has some kind of a filter which makes the colors appear darker than they should be. What's the reason for this, and is it fixable?

Why don't you just go get pierced at a store? Is there something preventing you from doing so because it really isn't as complicated as you are making it seem, and if they charge you anything at all, it isn't much.

So I'm using Windows Movie Maker and there is a shitload of time at the end of my movie where it's just blank. The video and audio/music stuff ends at 5 minutes yet the time stretches all the way to 18 minutes. I thought this would go away once I published the video but nope, it's just a black screen for 10 minutes.

Someone please help me get rid of this, I've been trying for the past 2 hours, and I think that because the video's so long the file is too big and I can't email it to my professor.

Thanks.

Medical-gaf! Does being sent for an endoscopy when you have stomach-related problems pretty much mean you have cancer, or are there a few other things which would cause doctors would send you for one? Maybe some kind of ulcer or something. I've no idea whether or not this is just a formality and should be getting worried, or if there are any number of things that they use endoscopes to find.

It's a family member, not myself, so wouldn't know anything more specific regarding symptoms, etc.

does anyone have the animated version of this

I'm broke and although I can wait until my next pay I kinda wanted to do it myself + I'm not sure where to go (at least on my area, I haven't seen ear piercers, I'll guess I have to go to a piercing/tattoo shop instead of a jewelry one).

So I'm goin' for a full-time position in retail that would typically be reserved for someone who wants to go higher up in the company and get to full management. I honestly have no intention of getting to that point, and just want more money and hours for the summer, and deserve it after my lengthy time with said company. They definitely have hammered the point of "we only want you if you're intending to go higher up with us" into my skull, but I haven't signed anything, and I'm a shoo-in for this job.

Do it even if I have plans to do something else by the end of the year?

Unless they're making you sign a contract, go for it. The only thing you'd have to worry about is burning bridges, but if you don't plan on going back and are going in a different direction afterward, it shouldn't hurt you.

sorta got a stupid question.
How the hell do I deal with the self destructive side of myself? I'm 23 years old who is trying so so hard to manage my job and school. I'm currently going to school for marketing and my main focus is to graduate but I always seem to get in the way of myself while trying to accomplish goals that I really want.

Jump from the top of a cliff , put a bullet in your head , hang yourself , go to Iraq ... there are a lot of possibilities .

Why do some people wear those clear green visors while doing paperwork?

Is it just for fashion or does it have a purpose?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_eyeshade

Green eyeshades are a type of visor that were worn most often from the late 1800s to the middle 1900s by accountants, telegraphers, copy editors and others engaged in vision-intensive, detail-oriented occupations in order to lessen eye strain. Because they were often worn by people involved in accounting, auditing, fiscal management, economics, and budgeting, they became commonly associated with these activities. The term "green eye-shades" can be applied derogatorily to individuals who are excessively concerned with pecuniary matters or small and insignificant details.

Why does soup pop and jump in the microwave? It seems to only do it on soup that is self-contained. Meaning, you don't pour it out but leave it in it's container. Like Soup at Hands and the like. It isn't just my microwave either, it seems to do it in all microwaves.

So... what up with that?

I've been looking for a Bonzi Buddy but it seems like he isn't available anymore.
Are there any sites that offer him for download that I'm unaware of.

Im assuming you tried "cropping" the video by pull the timeline up to where you need it to end?

What is the origin/meaning of the word "tortful"? I've seen it used exclusively on GAF and google research tells me nothing.
A tort is something you do that you can be sued for. So if you call something tortful I guess you'd be saying something is very sue-worthy.

What does "Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk" actually mean?

I'm taking it to mean "be real" and take it to the hole... but I still can't sort it all out.

It looks to me like it's saying that if you screw something up, don't try and pass it off like you did it properly.

Truly a stupid question: What's the difference between London, the UK, and England?

London is a city (the capital) of England, which is a part of the UK, or 'the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland'.

In before "what is Great Britain", that'd be England, Wales and Scotland combined.

I think this is worth its own thread, actually.

Yeah, definitely needs a thread.
