you see someones reflection in a mirror or window, looking at the reflection it looks to you like you've made eye contact with that person. Have you made eye contact via the reflection or does it just look like you have from the angle you are relative to the reflection?

wanted to know where its from
It's French actress Mélanie Laurent... Not sure where the pic itself's from though.

There's a song... dance/club-type song, rather etherial sounding, female singer... one of the main lyrics is something alone these lines:

"So DJ play that music just for me... I want a rhyme, to make the sunlight shine."

Probably not even close on the worlds, but I expect that if you know the song you'll understand which one I'm asking about reading that line.

I think you're talking about DJ Sammy's 'Sunlight'

Did anyone else get a Firefox update? And a MS update (Vista) earlier on today?

Also the creator of the most depressing remix in the history of mankind.

i got a firefox update a couple days ago i believe, but not today.
That's why I was asking actually, I found it weird that I had an update recently and it updated again today. The same thing happened with Vista update (and at pretty much the same time as the FF update) so I was wondering if my computer went back to a recent restore point or something. Oh well.

Why does GAF no longer work on my PS3's browser? All it shows is a bunch of gibberish text now. I've tried deleting, cookies, cache, etc. but that doesn't do the trick. Anyone else have this problem?

Actually, it happened to me as well. At least for FF anyways.

There were a few mentions of it in another thread a few days back, I haven't tried it on my PS3's browser lately but it still works on the Wii browser but some other people have had the same problem.

It works. Go to google first then type in neogaf. You can click gaming or OT. Works fine for me that way. If you bookmark it however it will be broken again so bookmark a thread post instead.

Refreshing the site usually works (you may need to refresh multiple times...).

It has something to do with the ads.

Are there any programs out there that will run through my iTunes library and fill in missing info? (year, genre, etc.)

I believe there is a program called Tune-Up. I used to see the advert a lot. It kept telling me my music collection is a mess when it obviously isn't since I'm very anal retentive about my music :D

Nope. That would not be it. Grr. ("Grr" to having songs stuck in my head that I don't know what are.)
Wow, that song was pretty much bang on with your description. If you haven't tried Googling the lyrics that you know, do that and it might find one of those lyric sites (which will also have the name of the song obviously)

Architecture question: Does anyone know the difference between Neoclassical style and Georgian colonial? I've done some googling but can't find a concise answer, and the two seem similar to me.

Wikipedia has two separate articles on "Neoclassical architecture" and "Georgian architecture." They might be of some help.

What is the easiest way to copy music from an ipod to a computer? I'm getting a new ipod touch tomorrow and I want to transfer everything from my current ipod to my computer and then onto the the new ipod. Most of the programs I've found do not retain the song title/artist/album.

I would say gc is a subset of neoclassical.

Assuming you're on a PC, in Windows Explorer make sure "show hidden files/folders" is turned on, and when your iPod is connected to your PC it should show up as a drive the way any other hard drive or usb stick would. Navigate down through the iTunes music folder on your iPod and all your music will be there in a few different folders. Copy/pasta back to Windows at your discretion.

I've just discovered that my phone has internet radio and since I don't live in the States, could you guys recommend me some good radio stations?

How long do I have to fast before my wisdom teeth surgery?

That's really a question you should ask your dentist.

But if they didn't give you instructions, you probably shouldn't have to fast. Most people get local anesthesia, or at least, I don't know anyone who got general. I wouldn't go in there with a full stomach, but I didn't do anything special beforehand.

My new cat is obsessed with pizza, we had some tonight and he was freaking out and meowing over it but he can't have pizza because he's a cat.
What do I do.

They're all separate in randomly named folders with randomly generated names like A3D33.mp3. SharePod retains your tags.

Has anyone else wondered what the image in your head would look like if your eyes were pointed two different directions (basically so there is no overlap between the images)? Personally, I'm really curious, would there be a blank "space" between the two opposing images? Would your brain try to blend them together? It seems like a reasonably easy thing to test (relatively, considering other hypothetical situations that are thought up).

I've been wondering this for a long time, one day I may have to pay a doctor to remove my eyes and point them away from each other while under heavy anesthesia.

How would you feel if someone stopped you from having Pizza?

Cut the kitty some slack, give it Pizza.

Actually, I have a question of my own.

Forgive me if it's been asked before.

I had my account authenticated via an old ISP email address that's no longer in use.

So (a) if I switch this out to another email address, am I going to have to wait to be verified again and lose my posting abilities.

And (b) if I don't actually have an ISP based email address at the moment and I can't use Gmail, what are my options (apart from purchasing an address)?

I actually had this problem (it was an old personal dreamhost address that I decided to let lapse, actually) and fortunately, I had an e-mail address from a local FreeNet that dated back to 1995. It was, amazingly, still active. So that's my GAF address now.

So I guess check your local area for FreeNets? Good luck.

What is the general closing cost for a house thats selling for 150k. Our mortgage lady is saying we need 7.5+ on hand at closing plus our money down.

Its FHA(probably, not finalized) 150k. Thanks.

That's too much from my experience. If I'm reading this correctly, they are asking you to come up with close to 12,000.00 at closing.

$7,500.00 should be the total amount at most including down payment on an FHA loan. Otherwise your closing costs are way too high. I've never paid more than $2,500.00 including origination fee, appraisal, title search, & prepaid interest but not inclusing down payment.

Shop around. Different mortgage companies offer different prices.

Why don't you just put two mirrors on each side of your nose pointing in different directions?

e: Blah, pointless double post. Sorry.

1. Are there any giant corporations that aren't completely evil?

2. I've never seen a 3D film before. Toy Story comes out here at the end of July - should I watch it in 3D?

1. Hardly any of them are completely evil since they have goodwill ledgers set up

2. If you want but the movie is just as good in 2D. I guess you could see 3D for the experience of it.

So i tried putting some pictures on my iPod Touch and now i can access them on my computer, it says i don't have permission. What the hell? iTunes has already pissed me off.

What's the difference between a British and an Australian accent? I'm always lingering between the two when I'm trying to identify accents (of characters on TV for example).

2. No. Absolutely not. You'll forget it's in 3D after the first 10 minutes and spend the rest of the time watching a darkened film that looks all jittery and just plain shit. After 3D almost ruined UP for me I'll never watch another 3D move in my life. The effect sucks and it's detrimental to the enjoyment of the film, don't even go for the novelty of it.
