Why the hell does a record from Australia cost $49? I really want it, almost enough to pay that, but still, that's ridiculous.

Where are you buying from?

I probably has to do with currency exchange. The Aussie dollar is pretty strong against the American dollar at the moment. Which is good for us Aussies importing from the states. :D

Facebook question

My sister's Facebook account just got hacked into by whoever and they changed the password so she can't get back in. I don't know how it happened, she probably left it logged in somewhere. Any who, is there anything we can do other than having a bunch of people report her account for impersonation in hopes of having it removed? Thanks

Edit: nevermind, false alarm. Thanks

'became' sounds pretty awkward. You guys got any other suggestions?

What's with all the "GAF-MAN" threads? Someone fill me in on this meme.

I think the thread was about"have you ever slept in a woman".
Yeah.

Which kind of keyboard layout is this? Just the standard US one? Because the pictures I've found of the US layout have the \ key somewhere else.

Typically the backslash key would be located above the enter key; however, because the manufacturer has increased the size of the enter key, the backslash key has been moved next to the frontslash key. Other than that minor change, it is completely identical to traditional US QWERTY keyboards.

Okay, I see. Thanks.

i know that > means more than or better than, but i see alot of variations of it and i have no idea what they mean. For example, i'm guessing one means equal with but i don't know what they look like, however many there are.

could someone post a list or link a site with them?

Underlined is more/less than or equal to.

EDIT: and for reference,

== equal to
!= not equal to

Although these are programming language ones and the "crocodile mouth" sign is a general mathematical one.

I have some sort of computer issue. Maybe GAF can help?

I'm trying to install a Logitech Webcam (lulz logitech). I installed the software properly but whenever I try to launch the software it gives me an error message saying windows cannot find launcher_main.exe. I checked logitech's support and some people are reporting the same problem but their only answer is to contact support. I sent them an email but I would like this resolved as quickly as possible. Looking at the folder structures it seems everything (GUI files, dll, etc) are installed properly, only the.exe is missing. Anyone can help? (aside that lulz logitech blows).

I'm feeling pretty stupid, but how would I go about implementing this script in a page?

I have this in the head:
Code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/roundrect.min.js"></script>
but I'm not sure how I should call it (he says to call RoundRect.run). Should I use jQuery? It's been a while since I worked with JavaScript :lol.

Logitech is actually pretty good; all the hardware I've ever had from them has always worked perfectly.

What? I've never known Logitech to have anything but quality products. Top notch company.

Random stupid question to Maths gaf: how did the number zero come to be conceptualized?

Doing a course on Indian philosophy, the culture where zero came about I think. It's pretty mindboggling to me the idea of zero, like true "emptiness".

1 and -1 is easy, it's like an apple in front of you and the absence of the apple. But the zero? Hell it's not even non-existence cos that is -1, as we can directly corelate the opposite, existence, the 1. It's like it's beyond our freaking human comprehension what zero really means :O hell even infinity has a negative!

Sorry it's late and I'm tired and unwilling to sleep. Sorry for this random question =\

How do I make it so that I can drag icons however I want in windows 7? I can move the icons around on the desktop, but when I'm in a folder I don't have that same level of freedom. Its really annoying especially when it comes to transferring files to a USB drive. Is there a way to fix it in windows 7 or do I have to download something that gives me that option?

Not entirely sure you can.

I found this and this but haven't tested them.

What is the simplest way to capture an image off my BR (PS3) player? I want to get an image from a movie and make it my wallper on my computer desktop.
You'll probably need an HD capture card to do that.

In the US, are you legally required to provide a receipt with every business transaction involving money?
I don't think so but it helps in defining a business transaction. I think verbal agreements are fine too. That said, as a consumer I would not go without one.

The ninth Beatles album is called The Beatles, however everyone calls it The White Album, who coined the name and when did it become it's defacto title?

StuBurns said:

Well the album's called 'The Beatles' and is by 'The Beatles', so people probably just referred to it as The White Album to avoid any confusion.

StuBurns said:

It's white and doesn't have an album title. To differentiate from other named albums the human populous decided instead of saying "The album with no art" they said "You know the white album."

That is my stupid answer. Who knows if it's right but it makes sense.

True, however everyone didn't wake up and think to call it The White Album in uniform. It was obviously called that by someone in a paper, on TV, the radio etc.

If you had these three keyboards, which would you use?

Logitech Wave Wireless

Rocketfish Bluetooth Wireless

Dell Wired w/USB hub

Right now i'm using the Wave while the other two are gathering dust. I type better on the other two though. The Rocketfish is the best looking IMO, but i have to keep my bluetooth dongle plugged in, and it doesn't work outside of windows (i.e. can't access the CMOS with it)

i have both the wave and the dell... Form over function is never good with keyboards since you can spend hours typing on them... stick with the dell.

self-titled albums don't always get a second name.

One of the legs on my bedframe gave out so my bed is all slanted. Is there any reason I shouldn't just put the mattress and box directly on the carpet until I can get a replacement?

I use the Rocketfish one for my PS3 and really like the feel of the keys. I'm not a big fan of wireless on my desktop though as I don't really mind cords so if you're USB ports are in short supply I'd probably just go with the Dell.

I usually prefer Logitech stuff but I don't think I'd like that Wave form.

Only when you have a self titled album and decide to make the the album cover primarily one color i.e. Metallica's Black Album, Weezer's Blue, Green and Red albums.

Of course those were all just plays on the White Album

So there was a question on an economics exam I took last week...
If anyone has insight, the question was regarding the fed increasing M to speed up a recovery. If they do that, is M/P unchanged(compared to a laisez-faire recovery) in the long run? My logic was, in laisez-faire P goes down and M stays the same. However, if the fed increases M, P doesn't change but M increases. Thus M/P would be the same in both situations. Is my logic correct?

Now, I would be confident in my answer, however the way the question was worded made it seem like M/P had to either be higher or lower.
