Anyone else having trouble with the latest msn messenger client? For some reason, I can't receive messages from a certain person, yet I can from everyone else. We haven't blocked each other, for I see him online all the time. He seems to get my messages but I never get anything in return (but as I said, I do from everyone else afaik). Removing him and letting him send a new invite to me instead of the other way around doesn't seem to have solved anything.

I get mouth ulcers every few weeks, because my teeth are very sharp. ): This is making it a literal pain to eat food. What I can do about this, and is there anything I can do about the ulcers I currently have?

I have had my wireless router for about 3 years. I have no idea what my password to it is anymore. Is there somewhere I can go to reset my password? I don't even remember what email address I used when I set it up. It's a D-Link if that matters.

It might be easier to just get a new one, but its never given me any problems.

There should be a button or little hole with a button inside on the physical router that you can use to force it to reset back to factory settings. Obviously you'll have to set it back up again, but at least you'll know the password.

Sounds painful. Might try a prescription mouthwash or see a dentist.

If it's really because of your sharp teeth then I'm sure the dentist can file them down a little bit to make them less sharp.

What program people here use to make gifs?
What is the best free one? Just video to gif with no restrictions and no watermarks.
What's the best overall?

This question would be for the music gaffers I guess.

I recently got my first music keyboard and I've been trying to hook it up to my computer to record. The brand is a Casio LK-270 and works in MIDI format. The connection it has is a standard AB USB Cable which I think seems to be my problem. Every program I tried so far has asked for a Line-in or Mic-in or some of the older form of MIDI cables, while I only saw one reference to my type of connection being "to-host" and haven't found a program that works with that. I've checked Device Manager and my computer itself can detect the keyboard. Which program should I be using? Am I being an idiot?

What program are you using? You're not gonna choose it as an inline, you're gonna set it up as a device in your music program, then you'll have MIDI into the program. Depending on the program you can then get that MIDI into an instrument and control it with your MIDI keyboard. Gotta run, so I don't have time to be more elaborate and search for your keyboard and such, but if it shows up in device manager and is installed correctly, then it will send its MIDI-data to the computer. Just check Settings -> MIDI in your program and check that it shows up there and/or set it up for the program. In Ableton, for an example, you then have to set record mode to on OR turn on monitor in on a midi track to get the midi data to that track. Post of that doesnt' help and I'll help you more later

iWisoft video converter. Has a setting to convert directly to gif, and you can trim frames (of course)

Examples of gifs made with that program alone:

Where's the Tobias Funke "Well Excuuuuuuse Me" GIF? I can find the one without the text...but it works better with.

I forgot to copy the link.

How do you search for people on facebook using name AND location or hometown or age?

Search for the name in the search bar. Then to the left of the result column, the currently selected tab is 'All Results' and you want 'People'. Then you can search by name + location OR name + education OR name + workplace.

I don't think age is an available filter unless you mean graduation year.

My friend was being a retard and kept opening instances of google chrome on my computer to see how many times it would open (it covered the screen). So anyways here is how Chrome usually opens for me:
l6IyN.jpg

And now when I click Chrome it opens like this:
LNZfr.jpg

(it's on the bottom of the screen.)

And nothing I do changes this. I've tried repeating the process, nothing. Tried opening a bunch of windows, closing all but one, opening a bunch, closing all but one, repeat repeat repeat. Still nothing. Googling my problem yields nothing because I cannot word it to articulate my problem well enough for the results to match.

Anyone have any idea how to A) Reset the screen position where Chrome opens and B) Adjust the window size of Chrome when it opens so it doesn't look like it was meant for an SD monitor?

First of try checking 'Window size/location cache' in CCleaner; and if that doesn't work, uninstall, restart, and reinstall.

well L is 50 and subtracting the 5 from the V its also 45

It's a rule. You can only subtract the powers of ten (I, X, or C; not V, L, or D.)

You can also only subtract one numeral from another, and you can't subtract a numeral from one that is more than 10x greater (in other words, you can only subtract I from V or X, X from L or C, and C from D or M.)

Does 'business casual' mean to wear a tie as well?
For background, I'm going to a 'pre-interview reception'.

Also, since I'm on that topic, anyone ever been to one of these things, what are they like, how should you act?

Going tonight, so quick answers would be dearly appreciated.

Not sure what a pre-interview reception is but I always considered business casual as tieless. Nice pants and nice shirt (tucked in if that's the style of the shirt).

I have a button on each side of my mouse. If I press one while browsing the internet it will either go forward a page or back a page depending on which one I press. How do I not make it do that?

Had an interview this morning that went really well. They already called me back for a second interview on Thursday. Should I email the guy and thank him for the meeting, or will that be too much since I'm seeing him again soon?

(Stupid, I know)

Thanks for the info, yeah no one had ties there...except for the people that completely overdressed with full suits.

The 'reception' itself was a joke. Basically was just all the candidates getting to ask a bunch of the companies current employees questions. Waste of time, probably hurt my chances at the position more than anything else. Since I stink at 'networking' situations like that(mainly cause I ain't a brown noser). Other people wouldn't shut up with their stupid, obviously forced, questions so I rarely got a chance to get my legit questions in, and basically just stood there listening most of the time.

I have two physics questions:

1)A 2.0 kg ball and a 3.5 kg ball are connected by a 2.0 m long rigid, massless rod. The rod and balls are rotating clockwise about its center of gravity at 21 rpm .

What torque will bring the balls to a halt in 6.0s?

2) A 1.7kg block and a 2.7kg block are attached to opposite ends of a light rope. The rope hangs over a solid, frictionless pulley that is 28cm in diameter and has a mass of 0.74kg .

When the blocks are released, what is the acceleration of the lighter block?
----

Could anyone help? I thought I know how to solve the first one but I was wrong. So I have no idea what I'm doing.

if it's a logitech mouse install setpoint and change it to not do that.

if its a microsoft mouse you can try intellipoint, not 100% sure if it lets you remap keys.

Anyone know the name of that extremely cliche love theme used in TV and commericals. You know the one. With the climbing strings in the beginning. Ususaly plays when two characters fall in love at first sight. Then they run towards each other's arms on the beach, etc.

I want to visit the USA / UK for 2-3 months, what's better: guest family or hard working and a shabby room for myself? :D Can't really decide..

Will my credit score be affected by closing out an old credit card account?
Yes. Length of credit history is a part of your score, and if you close an old card your history will probably be shorter.

Plus your available credit amount will go down causing your debt:credit ratio to possibly increase.

Can anyone remember the name of a book that came out around the early 1990s where each page was a fantasy picture that actually contained a riddle. When the riddles in the book were deciphered the reader would know the location of a buried orb or something that was worth loads of money.

I think Ian Livingstone or Steve Jackson might have had something to do with it but Google has failed me.

Help a brother out GAF.
